001- Your Rhyme is in another castle
[action, 723 anderson]

[Well, that certainly feels much more comfortable than the usual sleeping arrangements in Shibuya... still, something wasn't right, he certainly doesn't remember this house...and strangely, he didn't feel like he was fading away anymore. Weird. Though, this was still very unsettling. Where's Phones? For that matter, where the heck is he? He stumbles out of the bed, only to realize that his normal threads are completely gone, replaced with some lame crap. He doesn't even have his hat or his chains anymore... Something is seriously up. After getting dressed, he stumbles his way through the house, calling for someone, anyone. Though he's noticing the pictures, and it's not making him feel any weirder. Who are those people, and why isn't Rhyme with him?]

Yo Phones, you here all up in creepsville, too? Phones? Anybody home? We gotta get back to Shibuya, yo! I'm livin' on burrowed time!

[He gets a response, from a drone... He's not liking that empty sounding voice. Not one bit. Especially because it's calling him by name, and telling him to get ready for school.]

School, what'chu talking about, last I checked people in the UG didn't go to school! And how do you know my name?[A pause.] Actually, screw that, I ain't got time for answers!
[Beat heads off to continue his search of the house, only hearing a faint "You've been here your whole life." The hell is that about?]

[Action, around Mayfield]

[Well, after exploring much of the house, he embarks to hopefully find something he knows. Or at the very least, hope to find out exactly what the hell is going on. He's pretty much wandering aimlessly. And by wandering, I mean running. He's just a little bit panicked. He still feels as though he's only got less than a day to live. Feel free to stop him. Or at least try.]

Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing
07 August 2012 @ 05:33 am
[ order 12 ]
{ Action ; 852 Goldberg }

[ There is something so odd about this morning, as Integra makes her way toward consciousness with the same briskness she generally approaches most things in life.

Of course, waking up tends to be somewhat complicated when one finds herself sharing a bed with a man. Two men, in fact, the knightly filling to a sandwich played by Heaven and Hell itself.

They're about to learn that Integra really has some pipes on her.

---

Later, after whatever has happened has in fact happened, she finds herself standing at the edge of the front lawn, the low shrubbery and a white picket fence separating her from the pavement and Mayfield beyond. Behind her, Baskerville lowers his head to scratch at an itch with his hind foot, uncaring, just like a dog to remain oblivious, living (or unliving, really) in the moment.

This is no dream. What purpose have I returned for? ]

{ Phone }

[ Integra's made an effort at phoning those she knew from before. Her message is quick and succinct: ]

This is Sir Hellsing. I've made it back.

{ Action ; John Doe Park - Afternoon }

[ Nothing quite like a quick walk around the place to see what's up. While the trailing hound busies himself by snapping at bees, Integra has her hands in the pockets of her slacks, pausing to people-watch in the shade beneath an oak tree. Recon a bit, begin the processes of stockpiling and reaching out to potential allies. By luck it seems the Major is gone for now, just another mindless drone carrying out his business. She doesn't believe in luck. With him, or without him, to stay in Mayfield is to always prepare for war. ]

Detective Dick Gumshoe
07 August 2012 @ 06:08 am
Noodle Pack 16: Sometimes being responsible means doing the most embarrassing things
Action A | Outside 1449 Mitchell Road | Open to all

[This morning there's a long, rectangular package by the Gumshoe mailbox! Seeing this, Gumshoe recalls a previous letter and grabs it from a top a nearby end table to open them together. He checks the mailbox, and surprise surprise, there's a third small package in there! It's like Christmas!

Gumshoe opens the envelope first to see what it contains and finds it empty.]

Huh... Well that was anticlimactic...

[Suddenly there's a loud clang sound and Gumshoe jumps slightly as he looks at his driveway, where the sound came from. There, sitting on the pavement, is a typical squad car. Sort of. It's in terrible shape, the front caved in and hood stuck open, as well as two of the tires flat and no hubcaps. It obviously has met a wall or pole of some sort. And it did not end well.]

Now what is that...oh. Okay. I remember that now.

[And as if recalling the memory triggers something, Gumshoe rubs his head as he picks up the longer box and opens it. Inside he finds the frequency detector he built.]

Well this sure brings back memories!! ...I wonder what I'd find if I sweeped Mayfield? Maybe later. Let's see what's in the last one!

[Gumshoe gets out the last package and starts to unwrap it. It's kinda odd, it's pretty small. And the package is rather soft, like it's just covering a plastic bag. If he didn't know any better, Gumshoe would think it's something you got out of a vending machine.

And indeed, as that thought hits him, he finally shakes free from the package half of a specially made Swiss Roll. Gumshoe can only just stare.]

Phone | Shortly after A | Not filtered at all

Um, Kay, you there? You wouldn't believe what I got in the mail today...

Action B | In and around the Pharmacy | Late afternoon

[Gumshoe feels, with what he has to do tonight, that some preparations are in order, and that is why he is buying something at the pharmacy.

He doesn't look too happy about it. In fact, he looks downright embarrassed about it. Gumshoe isn't really the secretive type, but the entire trip he makes to, inside, and back home from the pharmacy has him looking shifty the entire time. Looking around to make sure no one is around, tucking the small brown bag under his arm in his coat, and him shuffling along with his head down all suggests he's doing something he doesn't want others to see him doing. Do you approach?]

((OOC note 1: Please mention if you are approaching Gumshoe as he goes to, comes from, or is inside the Pharmacy.))

Action C | Inside 1449 Mitchell Road | Mostly for housemates, but certain exceptions can be made

[So. Almost time now. Gumshoe left notes for James and Sirius, even gave a heads up to Margot and Rita if they wanted to sit in on this, though he's not sure if he can handle this if they do. Either way, he figures it's his duty as their temporary father to do this. He's got the bag from the pharmacy on a nearby table, he's got the appropriate fruit on hand if needed. He can do this. It might be embarrassing as hell, but it probably would be best to do this now. Especially when Mayfield might pull that Summer event it has in the past.

Gumshoe's skills might be in question sometimes, but he is a detective. He found out a few details (after the fact) about Jame's date. And again, with the possibility of Mayfield shenanigans approaching, Gumshoe feels the sooner he gets this done, the better.

So that's why he's sitting in the living room facing the couch, psyching himself up for when James and Sirius arrive.

Gumshoe is getting ready to give them "The Talk."]

((OOC note 2: This is general for the housemates, but certain characters are invited to chime in if they wish! Character tags will be added for this prompt as needed.))

The Netherlands
07 August 2012 @ 08:15 am
achtentwintig - still a human
[After over a year in Mayfield, Holland still has his human body.  He's not quite sure what that means; has he aged?  Will he be one year older, physically, forever?  He hadn't really seen nations age quickly; he did used to be much smaller, but he hasn't been little in over 300 years.

Anyway, he didn't feel terribly different.  Injuries hurt more, his body got aches and pains that it never got before, and it was just so easy to be killed, as a human.  But other than that . . . well, it was different.

So when he gets the mail and finds two familiar looking envelopes, he's eager to open them.  He'll tear both open and look at the pictures inside at the same time.

And what he sees are
this and this this.  There's an enormous noise in the backyard, and when the Netherlands turns back towards the house, he'll see a mast standing out behind it.

He was still a human.]

A - For housemates and anyone happening by Mitchell Rd.

[There is a very large ship in the backyard of 1447 Mitchell Rd.  Holland notices that it's smaller, smaller than it should be.  Still, it takes up almost all of the backyard, and the masts are well-visible above the houses.  The cannon sits in the lawn, the grass and ground underneath indented from the weight of the metal.  A few cannonballs are nearby.  Netherlands will spend a lot of effort wheeling it to the front of the house, eventually using the car to tow it.

If the ship doesn't catch the attention of the neighbors, a cannonball being shot down the street probably will.  After loading it attentively he'll light the fuse and take cover.  He's careful to avoid houses, but some of the cars might not be so lucky as the cannonball flies down the street..
He's impressed it worked; it looks like the cannon has been at the bottom of the ocean for some time and he was mostly expecting it to explode.  Holland will ignore the crashing sound of a cannonball hitting something; he'll move the cannon best he can and leave it against the curb in front of the house where, he guesses it works okay as an accent.  It doesn't really go with the tulips though; he'll spend the morning polishing it best he can and trying to get most of the rust off.]

B - for [personal profile] a_gentle_boy

[Holland remembers all the people he'd talked to while he didn't have any memories.  One of those people is Lucas.  He's going to visit his friend now, and try to clear things up.  There is a knock on the door in the afternoon.]

C- Phone

Hoi, you guys; this is Netherlands.  I'm myself now and I remember what I should remember.  Sorry.

. . . . sorry about the cannon.

Major General Olivier Armstrong
07 August 2012 @ 12:45 pm
Patrol Nineteen | Not Again
- 1671 Nelson | Locked to Housemates -

[Olivier is in the kitchen having her morning cup of coffee when she notices that the refrigerator is full of an outrageous number of casseroles and baked good, her immediate reaction is to head for the calendar, and once she sees the date, she lets out a string of curses and growls. Dare to approach, housemates?]

- A | Outside 1671 Nelson -

[After settling down enough to think straight, Olivier heads out for her morning run and training, but she is stopped short by two boxes sitting on the porch with her name on them. She opens the small one first, to find a set of white gloves, but the left one is covered in blood. She smirks a bit at them and tucks them away in her pocket.]

[She shakes the second box, and it gives a bit of a rattle. She rips it open to find a toy tank. It doesn't take her long to open the garage door and find the real tank the toy had represented.]

It's like the Postman is telling me to take action.

- B | Streets of Mayfield -

[There is a tank roving the streets, and it might just get dangerously close to you or your car before stopping. Once you're out of the way, it will continue on unless you're loud enough for the driver to hear you, or violent enough to get her attention.]

- C | John Doe Park -

[The tank is parked as close to the statue of the mayor as Olivier could get it, and she sits on top of it, staring at the statue and mumbling to herself.]

I was already droned two week, what's another few days for destroying this thing?

[Action A - 1649 Albright Lane]

-Charlie has decided that he would start a routine work out right after breakfast. His housemates or neighbors are welcome to question the rather impressive flips and kicks that he's performing.-

-... If you're lucky enough, you might see him pull off a move he thought was taken from him by the town. Just make sure you're quick enough to dodge a spinning arc of energy. That's right. He accidentally set off a "Sonic Boom" attack. Whoops.-

-... If you didn't get the chance to see him accidentally set off the move, fear not! Now that he knows he's got it back, he'll strike out with a punch now and again to perform the attack. What's he attacking though? ... Apparently he's using the garbage can as target practice.-

[Action B - Elsewhere in Mayfield...]

-He's decided to take a better look around the town. Maybe there's something he's missed. Every now and again, he reaches into his coat pocket to take out a notebook to look things over, or jot something down. He can be seen mostly within the downtown area. Care to approach and question him? ... Or, make a comment on his choice of hairstyle.-

001
[action: 306 Miller]

[He's not unfamiliar with the experience of waking up in a totally strange location, but it's always a sign that something very, very bad has happened. He doesn't even have the aches or the flashes that usually accompany an... incident, and if this is one, someone must have dressed him and brought him back to their house afterwards, which is even more unsettling and might mean he's in custody.]

[He fights the rising panic desperately, not realizing that the push behind it is missing, as he gets out of the bed-- no restraints?-- and peeks out the blinds to try and get some grasp on his surroundings.]

[And then he dresses as quickly as possible in whatever clothes he finds first, glancing hurriedly over his shoulder at the door, and moves steadily out into the hallway, ready to bolt as soon as he sees anyone or hears anything.]

[action: around town]

[He's calmer outside the house, though that's not saying much. But it's time to get a feel for his surroundings and actually investigate, all while trying to blend in as much as possible. This means a brief, distracted smile at anyone he makes eye contact with (that's what you do in the suburbs, right?) before lowering his head slightly and speeding up a little, though the more... eccentric-looking people do catch his attention.]

[Still, he can afford to ask a question or two without seeming too out of place, so he'll smile apologetically, doing his best to not sound urgent, and ask]

Excuse me, hi-- how far to the nearest city?

[Unless, of course, he sees anyone wearing anything that even comes close to looking like a police or military uniform, because then he casually turns right around and down the nearest corner, which is not remotely suspicious behavior at all.]

Further Experiments
[Action: Hardware Store]

[Mordin is systematically making his way through the hardware store, scanning every item on the shelf with his omnitool. Most are rejected out of hand, but some, notably fertilizers, find their way into his cart.]

Potential. Crude, but will suffice.

[Action: Grocery Store]

[A similar scene plays out in the grocery aisle]

Suitable medium. Further reaction... yes, effective.
