46 Δ It's a tsun!

[Phone]

Hey, listen up. It looks like I'm running the risk of repeating the last grade of high school a third time in this stupid town. [ Honestly, Rin's too lazy to get up that early every day again, so she's ready to get out of this commitment by using another method. ] I've devised a plan since the powers of this town refuse to acknowledge my age. If I get married in the town, I can just sit at home all day long.

[ Brilliant plan in her mind. What's sad is she doesn't sound like she's joking. ]

What does this mean for you? [ HANG UP THE PHONE NOW!! ] If you're an adult man stuck in a house with one of those creeps for a wife, you can stay on the phone with me.

[ What sounds like a pen tapping against a clipboard can be heard in the background. ]

What I need to know is how many jobs you currently hold--[ Oh! ]--and how much money you don't spend on the necessities. If the house is already stocked with precious gems, that would be nice. Additionally, I require information on your culinary and cleaning abilities, as well as that of the children already stuck there. They can take care of themselves, can't they? [ Sounds like the perfect wife, doesn't she? Spoilers: she's not. She comes equipped with two very angry father-like figures and who knows how many heroes willing to fight for her sake. ] Well, start talking. I don't have all day.

[ For the rest of the day, Rin will be bumming around in her house at 310 Miller Street. Researching prospects is a lot of hard work. Or none at all because who in their right mind would even attempt to humor her? ]

Conan Edogawa | Shinichi Kudou

Case 022
{{ →!Action | Hospital | Morning | Locked to hospital Staff and People that know where he is }}

[ If anyone has noticed Conan's absence from 915 Bilko Boulevard it will have seemed as though he up and a disappeared and has been missing for several days. The truth is, that after a truly unfortunate encounter he's wound up at the hospital but no one really knows that except for the staff and, of course Sherlock, being the person that brought Conan to the hospital. ]

[ During his absence he's been drifting in and out of drug induced sleep. However, he's feeling much better today, his body temperature is back to normal and his head isn't pounding like it was. The last thing he can really remember is that he wasn't thrilled about going to the hospital when that seemed a bit obvious. Well, he's still alive so maybe Gin didn't want to risk looking for him... that or he thought that there was no way Conan could survive long enough to get help... honestly, even he's kind of surprised he didn't just die that night. ]

[ Now that he can think clearly again he's laying back in bed with one arm tucked under his head staring at the ceiling and contemplating his next move. He needs to find someway to deter Gin from just attacking him again. He's not really in any shape to do anything immediately as he is still recovering from a few broken ribs and dislocated shoulder. Not to mention his hands and wrists are still bandaged. ]

[ He wonders if anyone's noticed his absence, if they had they'd probably know he was still around somewhere since people who were sent home ended up droned. His next thought is if they would bother to look for him... It was certainly possible with a few people... he's really glad Ran isn't here. She'd have torn half of Mayfield up looking for him. That thought in mind though, he manges to get down from the bed and find a phone. Not fun with broken ribs. ]

{{ →!Phone | Hospital | Afternoon }}

[ He'd better made this quick. If anyone tried to trace it they'd need twenty seconds at least. He has less than that to make his call. ]

Uh-hi! This is Conan...I've been gone for a few days, but don't worry, I'm fine. Well, I've got to go, but just know I'll be a few more days.

[phone, completely public]

[Dist has spent the past hour trying to find the proper pronunciation for "ubezhishche," but he'd be damned if he screwed up such an important call by stumbling over a foreign word. A little editing would have to do.]

I'm only going to read this once. Get a pencil and pay attention.

GRIGORI SADYKOV

CLASSIFIED DOCUMENT

In the type of event that Project U. is created for -- God forbid such a thing should happen -- there would be no power source capable of sustaining it indefinitely. Project U requires, by design, a greater source of energy than we have access to.

It would be, therefore, inherently unstable. It could not be maintained at the level specified in the original directive. I predict that over time, it shall become more voracious in its consumption of energy as external conditions become less forgiving.

I advise that we bring the project to a pause to reanalyze our design, if not a complete stop. Conditions within it CANNOT LAST according to the original directive. Eventually, disrepair, malfunctions, and ultimately ruin are, I fear, the inevitable consequences of Project U.

I cannot stress further the risk presented here. Attached are my findings and calculations. The math does not add up: the entire project is in danger as it stands.

Grigori Sadykov
Scientific Architect of Project U.

The emblem at the top of the document reads CCCP, if that means anything to anyone. Project U has a longer name that I can't define or pronounce; someone proficient in Earth languages might do better there.

[Dist pauses, thinking for a few moments. It was a shame he'd misplaced the order calling for the man's execution; that would have been nice to read too.]

The date of this document is beyond recognition, but it's clear that Mayfield is what the project eventually became. Those of you who fell into the little town inside the carnival witnessed it falling apart. I've gotten dubious confirmation that the same is starting to happen to the town we all inhabit.

They knew about it from the start. I can't find my copy of the official document but Grigori Sadykov's execution was called for soon after he sent this letter, for crimes against the state and their "Glorious Leader." I don't know what's going to happen to us, but I know that if any of you have any brilliant plans, and I'm sure plenty of you do, now is the time to start pursuing them.

Their hold is breaking. Whoever it was I spoke to, the one who confirmed it, spoke through one of the residents here, overriding the body's holder; this is someone who is outside the system, or who can move inside it more freely than we can. I'm inclined to believe them.

Get on it.

Multiped Combat Vehicle Tachikoma

Data Recording 015: Spider-koma, Spider-koma, does whatever a.....Spider-koma does.
Action A | 1450 Mitchell Road | Outside

[Tachikoma loves getting mail. So far, everything it has gained in the mail from Mayfield has been nothing but delights for it. While it should probably be upset over the fact most things taken away were done by the town in the first place, getting them back and being able to play with them again is just too much of a fun experience to really stay mad about the situation.

So when it opens up pair of envelopes it received, it can't help but let out a happy sound.]

Oh! I know what this means!

[Tachikoma turns to its house and speaks up in hopes to gain the residents' attention.]

Miss GLaDOS! Mr. Kaito! Guess what! I have control of my machine guns again! Look!

[And Tachikoma will immediately point its arms forward, the barrels built into them very apparent as a cycling sound is heard...

Followed by a lot of clicking. Tachikoma doesn't have any bullets, of course. And it knows that too, hence why it knows this is just for show and not to actually shoot anything.

....Of course you knew it was doing that for show as well, right?]

Action B | All Over Town

[Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! Nope! It's Spiderkoma! Okay, not really, but there is a large blue spider tank swinging through the sky. With the wire shooters online once more, Tachikoma can literally climb ANYWHERE now.

So while you're out running errands, you might catch a glimpse of the tank testing things out. Maybe it's swinging by right now. Or maybe you're at your office on the 4th floor and suddenly there's a blue robot looking at you while it hangs onto the window. It might even be standing on top of the Neutron Diner sign now, looking around, after jumping from another building. Really, it's not going to stay still unless you say something, so you might want to hurry and call out before it moves on.]
