I suppose it cannot be denied that something strange is going on with that carnival. I've taken a look around myself and find it all to be quite disturbing. I'd like to highly advise that anyone who has not gone yet save themselves the trouble; it is not worth it.

That said, I know many people have gone and visited the attractions. I realize it may be difficult and unpleasant to look back on it, but if you would be so kind then I would like to make a record of everyone's observations. Knowing anything, even just what prizes are won from the games, would be wonderfully helpful. If there are any useful clues in there then we will not find them without combining our viewpoints. I'd like to make this collection available publicly, if that's alright.

I am also to understand that there have been references to past... 'events' that have occurred in Mayfield. I'm told I've been here, but I've no memory. If anyone might be so kind as to fill me in, I'd be most appreciative.

For those interested, I'd like to extend an invitation to my home for the afternoon. I can provide snacks and refreshments, so please do drop by. My name is Keine Kamishirasawa.

Thank you.

[ action ❥ 838 Hastings Boulevard ]

[ Keine can be found outside on the porch, patiently waiting for visitors and waving to anyone who passes by. She's looking up at the sky, even though it's sunny. ]
Just under a week, then... if that card from the mail is to be trusted, I'll know in just under a week. [ She reaches up to tap her head and sighs. ] I suppose I should warn Locke before hand. Would the children understand? I wonder if they will even notice.

That carnival... I know some people call me mad, but this is a whole new level of depraved! Especially that roller coaster! But, there's something there, something worth finding and I'm going to find it! And if I had my guess, it's going to be in that boarded-up fun house!

At the same time, though, there's something IN here, too. What, exactly, I don't know. What I do know is that if any of you are intending on attempting to find out, don't be an idiot and rush in unprepared! And don't blow up whatever you find, thinking you can go home automatically! The next thing you might blow up might end up killing us all for good!

B) Outside 309 Miller Street

[Eggman's busy working on his Egg Walker at the moment. When he regained it, it was completely basic - no weapons at all and only basic hovering capabilities. To fix that, he's been grabbing parts from the wrecked Egg Carrier and is refashioning them into simple weapons - at most, a manipulator and a simple laser gun. Hopping into his machine and activating it, he took aim at the tree in his front yard and fired, branches dropping to the ground as the laser cut through it.]

Ho-HO! It works! And once this place gives me back the rest of this thing's weaponry, I'll be unstoppable with this! I just hope I have enough spare parts to build some for my Egg Pawns - I refuse to let them go weaponless for now on! Especially with what's going to happen!

event: step right up

[The carnival's been in town for a couple of days now - hope everyone's having tons of fun fun fun! All the stalls and rides are still up and running, so there's no need to worry about missing out on that swell prize you've been meaning to win for your best gal. Make sure to hop on our super romantic Ferris Wheel afterwards while splitting a deep-fried milkshake!

As an extra special treat, it looks like the funhouse has finally been fixed! Go ahead, grab some friends and explore to your heart's content. There's plenty of things to do within - we're sure everyone will find something exciting to capture their interest! And if some of your friends who went in with you seem to go missing after a while, well...they're bound to turn up sooner or later.]

(OOC: Characters who have signed up for the event and explore the funhouse, please join [community profile] welcome_rpg; your character will be exiting the funhouse there, although not every character will be exiting on the same day. Please refer to to this post to see when your character will be arriving. The community will open at 12:00 PM EST on Friday, June 29th. It is not necessary to reply to this post in order to participate in the next part of the event.

Additionally, any character who explores the funhouse will be at risk for injury or trauma.)

[Action A (MORNING): 769 Bunker Street]

[ The cost had been too great. While she's known for months and months that approaching the Post Office was a bad idea, there was no Archer to stop her. Lancer? Why would he even bother to stop her so long as she was still an effective Master? While she remains ignorant of missing memories (her own have been so jumbled for so long that she's given up trying to sort them out), she does know that she's no longer to perform magecraft well.

That was a problem considering the carnival around.

It mattered not to her in the end though. Her skills were due to her father, so what better way to thank him than by giving him the gems he asked for? The ones she held in Mayfield weren't nearly as strong as the ones the Post Office gave her, so it's only natural she give him the superior jewels.

So Tokiomi, congratulations, your daughter doesn't remember most of the significant events in her life. At least there's a box of jewels tucked under her arm as the other knocks on the door. ]

[Home (NIGHT): 310 Miller Street]

[ Unable to use spells meant that Rin was going to have to find an alternative to use during whatever madness Mayfield had planned. So for those who manage to sneak their way into her room, they can see her doing a variety of things; swinging an Azoth dagger around like it's a sword, swinging an actual sword (a thin rapier) around like she's an idiot, or eying a pink and red stick with a star on it as though it was the greatest evil Mayfield's ever known. ]
