Thirteenth Pokéball ☯ action
1447 Mitchell Road {backdated to Friday}

[Hilda's always been one to sleep in late, and when she does wake up it's never a quick affair. She does, therefore, notice something seems weird, but she can't really figure out the details just staring at the ceiling. The ceiling does look a little different, though. It's like the sun is coming in through a different window, maybe. Is her room bigger all of the sudden?

She tries to blink the exhaustion away and figure out what's going on.]

The superfabulousawesomesauce adventures of Arm Fall Off Boy - Part 1
[A - 2239 Stevens Road]

[Floyd awakes with a warm sensation around the edge of his mouth. Drool, the elixir of a good nights rest! He pushes himself up and stretches his arms as he shuffles out of bed before coming to a halt to rub his eyes. Having done so Floyd looks around... THIS IS NOT HIS ROOM!]

Where am I!? I don't remember going to a hotel last night...

[After a few moments Floyd begins to walk around the room and inspects it carefully. It seems like a teenagers room, but not the kind he is used to seeing on Lallor... And what is this? Pictures of him with two strange people he has never seen before, but it looks like this is a family portrait! This can't be the case, surely?]

This must surely be some trick! I never take off my hat but this is definitely me in the picture without it...

[Could this be some kind of super-villain trap!? No... I haven't really fought anyone to annoy them recently... and I STILL haven't found myself an arch nemesis... Unless this is some kind of new entrance test for the Legion!!!]

I KNEW THEY WOULD WANT ME TO JOIN EVENTUALLY!!!

[Floyd stops himself for a moment on realizing he just shouted... But what kind of test is this? And for that matter why did his arms not fall off a moment ago on seeing the strange room and becoming nervous? He checks to be sure, and it is a fact, his abilities are gone... strange... Then what is this test about? He looks at the portrait again.]

Maybe the Legion wants to see how heroic recruits are without powers? Just around town during everyday life?

[It has not escaped Floyd's notice that out of his bedroom window is a strange housing community, not too dislike one he saw in a textbook about Earth during Universal Studies at school back on Lallor. It now dawns on Floyd that the strange people in the photo... must be his parents in this place!

Floyd becomes overjoyed at the prospect at meeting new people whom he can befriend and have a loving relationship with, and being his parents they will ADORE him and shower him with love and hugs! He runs over to the door of the room and out into the upstairs landing, quickly running down the stairs and into what appears to be the living room of this house.

Who is that over on the couch? Is that... IT IS! It's Floyd's new Dad! It looks like Dad has been sleeping on the couch and hasn't slept too well... Oh well a jolly good morning hug from his son will perk up that grumpy looking face!]

DAD! Wake up, it's me, Floyd, you son! Nice to mee-Er I mean good morning! Is it time for a hug before Mom finishes breakfast for us!?

[B - Around Town]

[Having made his Dad's day so much better just for seeing him Floyd has hit the town to explore this amazing and intriguing new place! So far he has seen a park and what looked like a playground, and has waved at several rather stiff looking people.]

My what a lovely town this is, I wonder if there is an ice cream parlor near here, they always look so yummy and taste soooo good!

[Floyd is definitely taking all this in his stride, sure he is feeling a little nervous but at the same time it is all so new and interesting! And all the new people he can meet and become friends with! It will be even easier now he won't have his limbs fall off when he gets nervous, it's almost like a dream come true for the young lad.]

And you've got the brand new face
Action - 339 Brady Lane

[Well, Sephiroth has been awake in Raz's body for a little over an hour, and spent most of it monitoring the phones, gathering information about what's happening and - once he figured out this is currently a Mayfield epidemic - listening for his own voice. He had no idea who his current body belonged to, or who'd been granted custodianship of his, so it was rather important for him to find these things out.

And he did find the person in his body, who goes with the body he's apparently found himself in. Which may have resulted in his setting an end table on fire and flinging it telekinetically out the living room window.

He's been trying to keep a low profile until he gets this strange turn of events figured out, but that may have slightly blown his cover to his housemates.]

Phone

[Although Raz's voice hasn't really changed, the tone and evenness of his words certainly sound a lot more mature than Raz generally does.]

I believe we all understand what's happening now, at least as far as these occurrences can be understood. But does anyone know exactly how long this is likely to go on? Many of the town's... [He pauses. What the hell does one call these events?] ...eccentricities last for up to a week, but that seems excessive under the circumstances.

Further - is there any point to this? Many things Mayfield does seem to have inscrutable purposes at best, but this seems especially strange. How can the town possibly benefit?

 A. >> Phone

[There is a rather concerned voice on the phone as Nora has no clue as to how she wound up here, and a few questions have to be asked]

Hello. This is Nora Fries. If anyone happens to see my husband Victor, please let me know. Also, I could use some advice since I am still unsure of how this place functions. Thank you.

Mara Jade Skywalker
15 April 2012 @ 12:38 pm
--> first shot
A: Action - 848 Goldberg Street- Open to housemates and whoever happens to be walking by!

[When Mara wakes up, she knows something is wrong. The room is strange, and the light is far too bright to be anywhere on her ship. The deafening numbness that is the lack of the Force washes over her, momentarily paralyzing her to the bed in a moment of panic, before she realizes another crucial factor- her husband has disappeared. She remembers falling asleep the night before in his arms, and the final words he had spoken echoes back to her.

"The Force will always be with you Mara. As will I."

...Apparently that was far from the truth.

After pawing through the closest and failing miserable in her for something that didn't have flowers, or ruffles, or crinoline of any sort, Mara hitches up her nightgown, tearing it past her knees, and grabs the nearest thing resembling a weapon. Which happens to be a curling iron.]

Whoever took my saber and blaster better have a kriffing death-wish.

[Throwing open the bedroom window, Mara leans out, fully prepared to climb and slide down the drainpipe. There was no way she was going to act upon curiosity and explore the rest of the house, not when there was a blatantly simple exit right before her. She adjusts her grip on the iron, and put a foot up on the window's ledge.]

Han Solo

1 lightyear
A: 1127 Taylor

[Han doesn’t remember his bed being this nice. He also doesn’t remember anyone else being in it when he went to sleep. Actually, he doesn’t remember going to sleep at all. Turns out Ewoks really know how to party. He’s lucky he’s got no hangover.

He knows there’s only one woman he’d be waking up next to, and it fits with the bed that’s more than a cot in the back of the Falcon. So he rolls over, puts his arm around his bed partner, moves in to kiss her, but as soon as he really sees her--]

You’re not Leia!

B: Downtown Mayfield

[First order of business: Find a blaster. Han's seems to have gone missing along with the rest of everything he owns, and he feels naked without it.

He's found his way downtown and is doing his best to look like he belongs as he casually wanders the streets trying to figure out where he can get one.]

C: 846 Goldberg

[And now, it's time to find the actual Leia. Han had gotten an address, so it's not too difficult to make his way down to her street. He walks down the street, looking carefully at the other houses (and any people who happen to be about) until he finally finds his way to the house numbered 846. Then he starts pounding on the door.]

you'll start to really feel it in a week or so
[backdated to friday]

[...Oh. Oh, well, isn't this interesting? After freaking out about being in a new body, he immediately realizes whose it is -- that wretch the Doctor. With it comes the Demon Crown and a unique ability to study the man's powers for himself. It likely wouldn't be permanent -- Mayfield's changes never are. This could be his chance for revenge!]

[phone]

So, for those of you with godlike abilities... how many are enjoying being without them? The thought of someone else going about, learning and mastering your skills? Must be maddening, I'd imagine.

[filtered to the Riddler]

Edward, I don't know what body you're in right now, but I would appreciate your assistance with something.

Ted Kord
15 April 2012 @ 04:05 pm
01
[A - 506 Ricardo]

[Ted wakes up, no big deal. He does that every morning. Now, what is a big deal is that he rolls over and suddenly finds his arm draped over some woman he doesn't know or remember bringing home at all...and wait, this isn't even his home. Not his bed, not his pajamas, not anything he remembers. And yet he does not remember going home with this woman who frankly does not look like his type at all.]

Oh, good morning, dear! Did you sleep well?

[And the woman looks glassy-eyed and weird and just not right. It is at this point Ted realizes that there are family photos scattered around the room and they have him and the woman, is she some sort of creepy stalker? And then there are kids in those pictures and WHAT IS THIS and...]

GYAAAAAH!

[Housemates may hear the sound of a manly scream shout as Ted rapidly extracts himself from the bed with the creepy zombie-woman and runs out of the bedroom clad only in his boxers. This is way more than he's ready to wake up to.]

[B - Downtown Mayfield]

[Ted's calmed down quite a bit. He's a superhero, after all, and these sorts of things tend to happen in his line of work. He's now walking through town, trying to get a sense of where he's ended up. There have been a few more of the glassy-eyed unnatural people that seemed to know him and think he was a mechanic, which was unnerving, but he was hitting a point at which he could roll with it.

Now he's just trying to get his bearings and a sense of where exactly it is he's found himself.

And to find a way out. A way out would be nice.]

[C - Library]

[Ted's wound up at Mayfield's library, and it's obvious from the way he's pulling books off the shelves, flipping them open quickly, and scowling at them that he's not finding what he's looking for at all. He's not yet realized that the library won't be giving him anything he'd find useful.]

Word One: A Reckoning
Action for housemates )

[Phone: Annoyed teenage witch go.]

Well I don't know how long I've been gone. Or if things have changed here. But in the off chance that things have changed enough that I'm missing time when I go home, and that the people who've done this, listen to these, let me be perfectly clear. Three births, one death, and at least five general injuries, and not counting everything else I have to look after. If I am not there for them. There will be a reckoning. That I will make sure of.

Now then, my name is Tiffany Aching I was previously here in Mayfield for some time. If anyone remembers me, I'd love to hear from you. If anyone would like to tell me what's been going on here recently, that would be very helpful as well.

[A. 1446 Mitchell road and 726 Anderson, there is a witch knocking on your door. Granny and Susan, you have a teen witch looking to see if you're still here.

B. There is a girl with a pointed hat walking around Mayfield with a broomstick in her hands.

C. At the library on the off chance that the books are any better. Searching the shelves...nope doesn't look like it.]

1st SHAZAM [all action]
[A. 2236 Stevens - Action]

[Mary didn't notice that anything was strange at first. In fact, she stretched, put on her bunny slippers, pattered down the hall and had her toothbrush in her mouth before she recognized she had never been here before! She spat a frothy mess all over the mirror.]

Oh! Holy Moley, Holy Moley! ... And now I've made a mess. [She pouted, then began to clean the mirror. Yes. This is normal.]

[B. At your front door - Action]

[Well. She's been kidnapped, depowered and dropped in a strange town with other people to be her family. ... The first matter of business, is of course, to bake cookies.

So here stands Mary, a bright cheerful smile on her face, knocking on your door or ringing the doorbell. She has a plate of fresh M&M cookies!]

[C. Church - Nighttime - Action]

[Still religious, Mary's sought refuge in the church. She doesn't have her rosary, so she clenches a handkerchief instead, hunched over in one of the pews. She might be sniffling through her prayers.]

Scar
15 April 2012 @ 08:48 pm
One Hyena
[ACTION - 342 BRADY LANE

Housemates---hell, anyone within earshot---will be greeted with the sound of a ferocious roar cutting through the air. If they track the noise down to its source, they'll find what looks to be an African lion with a black mane and a scar over his left eye, pacing viciously around the doghouse he's been unceremoniously chained up to. And if they stay long enough? They'll hear the lion talk.]

Traitors! All of you! You dare put your King in chains?! This is an outrage!

[He pulls tight against his restraints, snarling in fury, before eventually wearing himself out and flopping lazily onto the ground. He seethes:]

Where's that blasted buzzard when you need him?

[ACTION - AROUND TOWN

Soon enough, once he's managed to get himself free...

There's a lion racing through town. And in the process, looking more and more out of place. Though it hasn't always been the happiest life, Scar's very much attached to the Pride Lands. He's scoured the Savannah, even explored Elephant Graveyards, but these... these settlements are not only massive, but numerous. He's never seen anything quite like it.

ACTION - MAKEOUT POINT

Finally, Scar reaches the highest point in Mayfield and comes to a halt, staring out at the cozy little cul-de-sacs, the little cars buzzing around the streets like beetles. The people wandering around like ants in a line. Practically all of Mayfield is visible from up here. And the longer he stares, the sooner that look of confusion transforms itself into something new. A familiar, greedy look.

"Everything the light touches..."

If this place has truly taken him from Pride Rock, then he's going to need a new Kingdom to rule over. He leers maliciously, suddenly content at the sight of Mayfield's unending horizon. Perhaps this town, these strange, foreign lands... would be the perfect Kingdom for a ruler as worthy as Scar.]

7 Things to Fight For - Freaky Friday Edition. (Backdated)
[A. 2235 Stevens Road]

[Another day another.... Wait. The sun isn't coming in the window like normal. Dammit. Did that stupid drone screw up how she'd set things up again? An annoyed groan will slip out as her arm comes up so that the crook of her elbow can cover her eyes and wait... what? She doesn't... Completely sound like her and that arm wrapping around her eyes doesn't feel... Right.

Something's wrong. Quickly, Fang's shifting, throwing her legs over the side of the bed to see... Why is her skin not tan? And... And why do her legs seem so short?

Normally this would be the moment where Fang darts out of bed and heads for a mirror if it weren't for the fact that she nearly trips over her own two feet.

However, once she does get to that mirror she's shocked. It doesn't take Fang long to rip through the room, finding something, ANYTHING, to wear and, with a better feel on movement, she's zipping out of the house and into the street. Only then will she take a moment, glancing around quickly, obviously on high alert as she attempts to figure out just WHAT THE HELL is going on here. Do you dare approach the guarded looking girl?]

[B. Phone]

The 'ell is goin' on 'ere!?! [The pronunciation will definitely ring of a certain non-aussie, but the actual accent is awkward and somewhat lost, making the words sound pretty strange at best.]

[C. The Park]

[Yup, there's one rather unhappy and somewhat guarded looking little raven haired chick venturing around. She seems to be looking for someone at least though, maybe you can help her find them?]

Naota Nandaba
15 April 2012 @ 09:58 pm
001 // Beautiful Morning
Action
Morning; 2237 Stevens Road; locked to Haruko
[Asleep in his new bed, Naota has yet to realize that he's no longer in Mabase. It's still early on a Sunday morning and all but his bare feet and a shock of tousled brown hair lie buried under a mound of blankets. Lately, sleep has been his only escape from the endless monotony of life in Mabase. Naota sighs into his pillow and continues to slumber. On one corner of his bed sits Naota's obese housecat, Miu Miu, with his stubby legs tucked beneath him.]

Late morning; locked to housemates and friends of 2237 Stevens
[Finally awake, Naota sits slumped over the kitchen counter on a retro bar stool where he sips juice from a glass. He's wearing shorts and a vintage Pepsi T-shirt and while he doesn't like the cut of the shorts, it's the closest match he could find in the closet to what he'd normally wear. Resting on the counter before him is a framed portrait of himself with his "family". His housemates may discover early on that Naota has a bad habit of speaking aloud to himself.]

This is just disturbing...

Phone

So you just pick up the phone and start talking? That seems really strange but whatever. This whole place is strange. Is this what it's really like to be in the United States? I never imagined I'd see it in person. I guess, for a while, I've been wanting to see it for myself if only to get a sense of what's so great about it and why the people who come here from somewhere else never look back. What is it about America that makes people forget what they left behind?

Everything here looks so much alike. It's just row after row of the same house in every direction. At high noon you can't tell west from east. I don't see how anybody can know where they're going, but I guess it doesn't matter.

Anyway, can somebody tell me if there's a motel around here? Or an empty room someone's willing to lend for cheap? I don't really care. Just as long as I don't have to live in the same house as her anymore...

Action - Afternoon; Around Mayfield
[The shadows have grown long and Naota has "run away" from home. For a while, he was sure he'd be able to find his way back if he just counted the houses and noted the sun's placement in the sky. But after crossing a few streets and rounding a few corners, he's genuinely lost and feeling mighty stupid.]

Vash the Stampede
15 April 2012 @ 10:17 pm
[001] The Sixty Billion Double Dollar Man
[A: 1248 Williams (Closed to Housemates)]

[Vash would be the first person to say that many of his dreams involved waking up next to a beautiful woman (though sometimes this beautiful woman was made of doughnuts) and so for a long second when he opens his eyes, he thinks that's what this is. Wriggling a bit closer to the poor hapless Makoto, she'll surely appreciate his drool-mumbles... right?]

...'mnot... delicious jelly filling, and...

[Except this dream was just growing more realistic, and Vash was very suddenly aware of two things. The first of which was that he was IN BED WITH A STRANGE WOMAN, and the second of which was that HE WAS ONLY WEARING BOXER SHORTS! The peaceful slumbering air of the room is shattered by a piercing and girlish SCREAM as Vash leaps out of bed and takes the sheets with him, wrapping them around himself to hide his scarred torso... that isn't scarred, wtf Mayfield?!]

[B: Phone (Open to All)]

[Having had things explained a bit more, and after spending a few hours wondering if he'd finally lost his mind to hallucinations and madness, Vash finally decided the time was ripe to introduce himself to his fellow residents. If what had been said was true, and nobody here knew him, then he had a chance to make a good first impression. So the voice that comes over the line is deep and very deliberately manly, with an attempted hint at suave.]

Good afternoon, assorted men, children and, most importantly, beautiful women. The days have been dark here, the nights long and cold so far, and you have been in dire need of some brave soul to rectify all these wrongs.

A man of style. A man of extreme manliness. A man of...

[Wait, he doesn't have another descriptor. He fumbles for a second, before giving a manly cough to cover the awkward pause.]

And what do we call this man among men, this seeker of the elusive mayfly of love, I hear you cry? I am Valentinez Alkalinella Xifax Sicidabohertz Gombigobilla Blue Stradivari Talentrent Pierre Andri Charton-Haymoss Ivanovici Baldeus George Doitzel Kaiser III.

[C: Bakery (Open to All)]

[They say an army marches on its stomach, and after giving his very impressive introduction, 'Valentinez' has decided that he most certainly deserves to put something in his. Following the inner glutton compass that pointed directly at sugary goodness, Vash has found his way to the bakery and all its tantalizing smells...

...before realising he has no money. Observe, if you will, the not-at-all-pathetic sight of a grown man with tears running down his cheeks as he presses his nose to the glass.]
