First Trial [March 14th]
[Outside of MacCready & Sons Law Office]

[Just as you walk down the road, content with your day (or maybe not?), comes a girl being escorted out of the law office building by an old drone. She is making quite the fuss.]

I can't believe you - this cannot be legal. To deny me a job at your office just because I am a woman is - [The drone closes the door and leaves her outside] - hey don't you shut the door on me, I was talking to you!

[And then Tsubaki attempts to open the door, only to find that there is no way to turn the knob. It's been locked from the inside.]

[Outside the Police Station]

[Later on, Tsubaki is going to try again to find a job in Mayfield. This time, she's going to the police station. ...Except the station is closed, even though it so obviously must have people in it. Tsubaki is outside this building right now, banging on the door with all her fury. And she isn't going to stop, even though it seems like no one is letting her inside. What a damn joke.]

Please, I ask you let me in! I want to speak with an officier about a job! What sort of station does not keep their door open to the public?!

[She pauses, thinking for a moment she sees someone inside. But when nothing happens after a few moments, she begins slamming her fist against it again and resumes her shouts.]

I will not be ignored like this. What sort of "people of the public" are you?! OPEN UP!!

[And she'll keep banging for a while, unless someone stops her. After that she will just be outside in a huff, visibly frustrated. Someone is having their first hours in Mayfield today.]

Phone;

This place is absurd. Not only am I suddenly trapped here, but I was denied twice today a job serving the greater good because of my gender. How does anyone stand being discriminated against so flagrantly!? I could -- would be a great police officer or justice attorney, and I was denied from both!

[She pauses for a moment and then softly groans.]

I feel like I'm getting a headache. ...Actually, I have a question. What year is it? I feel as though I'm in the past, but I don't know how far back. Is it still in the 2000's? [The woes of coming from the year 2200...] Well, I guess it doesn't really matter, I just wanted to know because today--

Forget it. I'm getting a cake no matter what the cost in this era!

[Happy Birthday Tsubaki Yayoi, we got you a trip to Mayfield.]

Hello, Mayfield girls ages 11 to 13, have I got the deal of the fucking century for you!

So, basically, I have this adorable little friend who I won't name but his name's Luke, and during that time with the weird fucking flowers, I was a total bitch and rejected his love because he is A. super tiny and B. a boy. But I still felt totally bad about it. SO, to make up for breaking his little baby heart, I've decided to do the right thing and find him a cute little girl to fill the void I left in his soul. It's gonna be hard, but I'm just so nice I don't even care.

To qualify, you must be in that age range, a girl, be adorable, and like puzzles and riddles and other nerdy shit like that. Having a bangin' ass would be a plus. Reply now because he is going fast!

I know my place, stick to my lines
[Sephiroth's been thinking about this for a long time. He's known what he should do for quite awhile now, but the extenuating circumstances of Mayfield had left him wondering if there's any point to doing it, if the results will be at all what he expects and deserves. He's also been debating broadcasting his intentions, whether he has any right to explain himself, but eventually he'd decided for it; he owes a number of people an apology, as well as the assurance that he's setting things right. Or at least trying to.]

[Phone]

Some time ago, when the revival system was being repaired, I was one of those taken. My mind was affected, and I became violent beyond reason. I don't know how many I may have hurt or killed, but any number would be unacceptable. My lack of control was unacceptable. The circumstances mean little in the face of my actions; no amount of excuses or regret can change them. [Despite the words he's saying, his voice is detached; he could be reading off a script. In a way, he is.]

In my world, I would be court-martialed. [At least. He's not sure ShinRa wouldn't simply kill him; that's certainly been their stance on rogue SOLDIERs in the past. A very recent past, at that.] But here, there is no military. As such, I'll be turning myself in to the local law enforcement to face whatever consequences they deem appropriate. If they refuse to acknowledge this... [He's considered this eventuality; as far as he knows, the police are as droned and as oblivious as most of the other residents. They may act as though nothing whatsoever is wrong, as they always seem to.] ...then I will offer myself to whatever judgment my victims care to pass on me.

First Royal sulk
[Action] - Around town

[Lym has been out, she's been to school, and back home, even wandered the town a bit, but she has kind of a distracted lost look on her face. She stood outside the florist staring for an hour, and when called upon in school forgot her name twice and didn't even argue with the teacher when he started going on about how the American government system was the best. Something seems to be horribly distracting the girl but she is staying kind of tight lipped, or at least is trying to figure it out in her own head. All that is really apparent is she's sighing a lot.]

[A. ❖ Phone]
I have a question. What if one of these days, I make a bunch of Belgian waffles and sell them would anyone be interested? I mean real waffles. Not those frozen cardboard Eggo things America likes so much. I don't think I can take much more of those things.

Actually on second thought, what if I start up my own cafe? I mean it's not like there's anywhere to get a good breakfast around here...or at least one that doesn't taste like cardboard.

[Just then she remembers something rather important.]

Oh yeah, and before I forget again, the newly christened Spring Girls Meeting will be held sometime towards the end of the month, 30th or the 31st, at the community center. I just wanted to remind everyone about that since I keep getting side tracked and all. I'm really sorry about that.

[B. ❖ Action ❖ Park]
[Belgium sits at a picnic table, just spacing with her head in her hands and humming to herself. This is usually how she spends her lunch breaks. After finishing her food, she just spends the rest enjoying "nature". Feel free to break her train of thought.]

[C. ❖ phone, later today ❖ Locked to the Netherlands]
[Belgium was a bit hesitant to call her brother regarding what happened the Sunday before last. I mean after all it did take her over a week to finally gather up the strength to call him.]

Broer...we need to talk about the other day...

[Ken's really bored right now, so he's taken to running laps around the neighborhood. Are you getting dizzy just watching him? Ask him what he's doing? Try and trip him? All's fair right now.]

4th Code [Voice]
[Phone - Filtered from Saber (but she can totally overhear this if she's in the house)]

[After a failed trip to the library, it's time to make a request of the citizens of Mayfield!] Hey, um. This may seem kind of strange, but I have a question.

Does anyone have any books on Roman culture? [Normally that wouldn't be something to be awkward about, but considering her current situation...] Things like holidays and traditions... I'd really like to read up on them. I tried looking in the library, but I couldn't find anything.

[Her voice becomes more deadpan, and she mumbles.] Seriously, what kind of library only has books on cooking and cleaning...

One: In Which Klaus Runs Errands
Action for Signless )

Action for Hiccup )

C; Action: Downtown

[Despite being very inebriated at the time, Klaus remembers promising Disciple a large feline clank to ride around on and possibly eviscerate people with. He needs a new project anyway, and any excuse to go and buy new hardware and tools is a good one. He's coming back from doing that now, his loot in the arms of a brass clank that somehow manages to be even taller than he is. There's rather a lot there, including what looks very suspiciously like a chainsaw.]

...And if I moved the hydraulics systems like I want to, there will be far more room for expandable blades...

[The clank doesn't acknowledge anything Klaus is saying, mostly because it isn't sentient, merely programmed to respond to and follow direct orders. Anyone else care to comment on his babbling?]

Mordecai
14 March 2012 @ 05:28 pm
Today's not a good day
A street somewhere

[Mordecai had gotten ready for work this morning, a little distracted. He remembered it being the beginning of March, not the middle. He must have gotten droned or something.

He sighs as he gets in his cart and drives off to work. So if I had been droned for a week, then there's a lot I missed out probably. I'll have to check up on Pops and Benson soo--

Just then, a drone kid runs out into the road to get their ball that had rolled into it and Mordecai makes a quick turn, crashing the cart into a tree near the side of the road. He sits there for a minute, coughing as smoke rises from the engine before climbing out and slamming his fist against the side.]

Shit.

At the restaurant Mordecai works at.

[So after pushing the cart to the restaurant parking-lot (he'll fix it later), he was 45 minutes late. He rushes into the back to change into his working outfit and put a bandage on the cut on his forehead from the crash. Then he starts working. Though, he's not in the best of moods and he might accidentally spill your drink or give you the wrong order. Sorry.]

Dynamo
14 March 2012 @ 06:06 pm
Mission: 002
-Dynamo sighed in an unamused and tired manner. So he had eventually gotten used to being made of squishy, meaty bits and all the other ridiculous things that came by with having to be a human. What had bothered him most was the lack of ability to do anything, what he considered, fun. After all, human bodies had their limits. Such ridiculous things as the need to eat and sleep. Though what else were they limited to...? Perhaps if he were to use that old piece of technology to call someone out?... It didn't hurt to try! Making his way toward the phone, he smirked and picked it up. Clearing his throat, he made his odd request.-

Mayfield. Oh, my Darling Mayfield... perhaps one of you normal human-types out there happens to be listening in. If so, good. Please, I ask a favor of you all. No! Make that a request. I've grown wary of this place already, and I'm looking for something to do.

-One can practically visualize the grin crossing his face before he makes his final statement. It worked once before, no reason it shouldn't work in this town!-

Please, play with me. I'm really bored. If you answer, I'll give you a place to meet at. Oh, and before I forget, my name is Dynamo.

Yuna "The Kid" Akashi
14 March 2012 @ 07:06 pm
22nd Magic Bullet
[Action; 2237 Stevens Road]

[Housemates may notice that Yuna has skipped school today.  She's still up at the usual hour, but instead of getting ready for class, she heads straight down the kitchen and gets right to work with all sorts of baking supplies.  Anyone who's around to notice what she's doing will eventually catch the distinct aroma of chocolate wafting through the air.]

[Action; Mayfield streets]

[Yuna's out for her usual run once school's let out, but she seems a little distracted today.  She's got her backpack on, which is a bit of a change from the norm, and she seems to be spending a lot of time staring into the sky as she goes along.  It's the perfect recipe for crashing right into someone.  Anyone who catches her may also notice that she's blushing as she spaces out.]

[Action; 947 Beulah Street; locked to Rin Kagamine]

[Well, she's finally here.  She's done enough running to psyche herself up, so after pacing back and forth on the doorstep a little, Yuna rings the bell.  She's holding a gift-wrapped box in her hands.]

Rin!  Hey, Rin!  Are you home?

Seven knitted hoods
[Phone. Locked to those other kids she knows (or doesn't). And the trolls, they too; why, all of them. ]

Under the risk of being highly disappointed, if not terribly lacking in amusement, I would like to know what has been going on through your minds. It's obvious I have been, in a way, focused on other things beyond the current events of Mayfield.

[ A beat. ]

You can spare me of your underdeveloped sense of humor. I think nobody needs that. Or at least not I, not right now.

[Action. Jon Doe's park. After school. Open to all.]

[ Rose is sitting on a bench, slightly slumped, eyes closed. She's not asleep, but perhaps sleepy. A slow day and a boring routine are getting to her. ]

Scott's So-Called Life - Wednesday Nights on CBC!
[To the residents of 2242 Stevens Road]

-He awoke with a sudden gasp, as if he had just come to the surface from under water. Breathing and choking to fill his lungs, Scott Pilgrim sprung from his bed and fell to the floor. Clutching at his chest as he abruptly came to consciousness one fine Wednesday evening, his thuds and bumping echo through out the house. Able to speak some what coherently, he cries out for help.-

"SH... SHIT! NOT.. AGAIN?! WWWWWWWWWRRRRRRRRRRRRRYYY?!!"

-----------------

[Phone. Filtered to: No one. Public? Why yes indeed!]

-There's an awful lot of whining coming from the other line, like that of a small, starving puppy.-

"*sniffle* Why..? God.. Why? Is there a God? Some one, please tell me there's no God! At least then I'll know some one up there doesn't hate me because they don't exist!"
