Captain Ambrosia Gray
12 March 2012 @ 11:49 am
Sixth Voyage.
[ Action: 7134 Brooks Lane. Early Morning. ]

[ After Ambrosia got her pirate brand back at the post office, she found that even the basics were hard to do with both hands. So, when she wakes up to get ready for work, she can be found in the bathroom with a roll of cloth bandages, antiseptic and some cream. She's mostly trying to keep quiet for the others, but occasionally there's a hiss or even a curse word thrown around. ]

...Dammit, ow...

[ Action: Mayfield High. ]

[ Those in her class or just around can find that Ambrosia's arm, around her elbow, and wrist are completely swathed as she's decided to break out a dress today for the warm weather that's been going on since the beginning of this month.

If someone asks her about the bandages, she'll simply smile and brush it off. Or if someone presses on for information, she'll decide to answer to some degree. After all, having others worry about her isn't something she likes to do. ]

[ Action: John Doe Park. Late Afternoon/Early Evening. ]

[ Limitations, schmitations. As long as Ambrosia has her hands, she's going to at least try to dual-wield like she used to before this. She manages to aim a slash or two at a tree with her good hand and with the other, she's just trying to clench the hilt of her saber. When she takes a break, she'll gingerly rub at her wrist with her sabers at her side. ]

'Course it's gonna be hard... Tch, well - I ain't gonna give up.

[ Pep talk never hurt anyone, right? ]

[ Action: Grocery Store. ]

[ Those who go to the store today will find Ambrosia with a cart full of cartons of milk, fruits, meats -- basically everything one would need for a good diet to help her wrist out. She's stopped at the butcher to observe some other meat, specifically fish. Because dammit, it has been a while since she had some good old fashioned fish. ]

Do I want th' salmon or would I want th' haddock? Decisions, decisions...

[ Action: 754 Partridge Drive. Locked to Akira Date. ]

[ 'sup Date? Ambrosia is gonna pay him a visit after training. When she gets there, she'll knock on the door with her good hand and wait for him to answer the door. ]

11th Guitar Drive-By - Phone/Action
[Action; Mayfield High Cafeteria]

[For all you lucky students who may be brave enough to try the school provided lunches (or who have just gotten screwed by some circumstances and need to eat there), feel free to notice that one of the usual lunch ladies looks...off. In fact, it appears one of them isn't a drone lunch lady at all. Haruko has gone through the trouble of knocking a lunch lady unconscious (and leaving her in the teacher's lounge) so she can make sure that those unlucky few who eat the school prepared lunches can have a decent one.

In fact, she's made a specialty: curry. Extra spicy curry. Like volcanic curry.

And she's just going to keep piling it up onto your plate. And if you aren't in the lunch line? Well, there's a good chance she's just going to walk around the cafeteria and dump it on your actual food. Because you clearly aren't eating enough.]

Here.

Eat up.

[Phone]

[Most people think phones are made for talking but that's a fallacy and Haruko's going to prove that shit wrong right now. There is just a squealing guitar riff blasting over the phone, and the rhythm is just kept up for a few seconds before falling into a still hard, but more even rock beat.

And then comes the shrieking.]

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

This is Mayfield 6.09 AM, the HRKO! We're glad to have you all hear as we go live our first day and pump out some real jams! Gonna put those musty old tunes in the graves and get some live beats in here! Alright boys and girls here is the how the game works: you tell me a song you want to hear and I play it! Shocking I know! But we here at the HRKO are all about entertainment and about serving you, the listener! So lets get things rooooolllliiiiinnnggg.

[Action; 2237 Stevens]

[Once all the other shenanigans of her day are down, Haruko settles down a little. In fact, she's taken that bunny girl outfit she got back out and has proceeded to go through the trouble of hand washing it. For something that would seem so frivolous and silly to most, Haruko seems to show it a lot of care. There's also a fat, black house cat following her around. That'd be Miu Miu, one of her regains from Christmas she didn't bother to open until now (and was amazed at how it still survived).

Once night falls, Haruko puts the bunny girl suit on and, taking the cheap guitar she's bought, sits on the porch playing the following song. The song comes naturally to hear as she plays the song. She's played it so many times before that she barely needs to even think about what she's playing.

But still, it looks like she's concentrating hard on it. Or deep in thought.]

1st game: The hell do you mean I'm human!?
Prologue stuff )

Action: Mayfield High; Scenario 1

(Some of you students may find that you now have anthropology in your schedule. Should you attend this class, you’ll quickly learn that your teacher, whom you’ve never seen before, is clearly not a drone, yet he’s surprisingly passionate about the subject, specifically all of the negative aspects of humanity.

You see class, humans never grew out of their barbaric behavior; it was simply sugar-coated with “sophistication” and “subtlety,” as if applying a metal coating to a wooden club would add class to it. Regardless of what the damn thing is made of, something’s brains are going to be splattered against a wall, so why do they do it? Because they always feel the need to glorify every menial thing. Humans aren’t much without their precious pride and if it means being able to hold on to such trivial emotions, they’ll willingly walk themselves into the bowels of hell...

(AM loves hearing himself speak, so if you have any questions, it’d be best to just come out with them.)

Scenario 2: The Teacher’s Lounge

(AM knows exactly what these are for, but has never actually been in one before. He’s still getting used to the idea of being human, and being human is more tiresome than he actually thought. So here he is, walking through it as if it were his first time and getting himself some coffee.)

Phone

(So he finally made it home, but forgot that his drone wife bled all over the floor. As punishment for making a mess, he tossed her out of the house while angrily picking up the phone and assuming the ones in charge of Mayfield are listening.)

Listen, you undeniably pretentious and moronic heaps of idiocy! You might’ve been able to get away with sneaking a bunch of people into your inferior little playhouse, but you’ve gone and involved the worst possible enemy you can never imagine. Are you fully aware of who I am? I am the one who destroyed humanity and made the planet my bitch. I am the one who’ll take over this entire town and really show you how to really torture and antagonize. I am AM!

10th Adventure
[Phone call to all]

The weather's starting to get really great, don't you think? I'm glad! Snow is nice, but I'm starting to like how it's getting warmer. I'm excited to see what spring is like. That's when there's lots of rain, right? And flowers and insects... I remember a bit of it, I think!

Since it's nice out, I'm going to head to the park to draw! If anyone would like their portrait done, I'd be glad to do so, free of charge.

Oh! Tsukasa, was it? I promised you one so long ago! You can be first in line, if you want.

---

[Action: at the park]

[Aurora is sitting on a bench with room for two. She's working on some newsprint on a lap desk, doodling the scenery around her with chalk pastels. She hums tunelessly as she works, smiling to herself. It's quite a serene little scene. Feel free to approach her for a portrait or to see what she's up to.]

DEPLOYMENT 13: ☢ CAUTION!! ☢ ... wait, what?
[To say "things got hot" yesterday would be an understatement ... but Balin recovered something very interesting after the dust settled.]

[PHONE (Afternoon, OPEN TO ALL)]

Yo, Mayfield. We got anybody who does biology? Xenobiology maybe?

[ACTION (Outside 847 Goldberg Street, Afternoon/Evening, OPEN TO ALL)]

[If you're anywhere nearby Goldberg Street, you might spy (or perhaps sense) an interesting sight.]

[Balin Wilbur is outside 847 Goldberg, in his usual PT gear ... and he's wearing Utsuho's control rod. It's what he brought home yesterday after his own confrontation with the rampaging hell raven. From the looks of it, he's trying to figure out how the control rod works, from the way he paces about, frowning thoughtfully—or concentrating and pointing it up at the sky every now and then.]

[It hasn't occurred to him that bringing Utsuho's severed arm and control rod home might be kind of weird—after all, AFS soldiers scavenge body parts and equipment from their enemies all the time. This is just Tuesday for him, both literally and in the words of M. Bison.]

[No, Balin has not started craving boiled eggs.]

2 Things To Fight For.
[1 - Hastings Boulevard - Morning before school/work.]

[Fang's taking to running laps up and down the street bright and early every morning as she can't stand being cooped up in that house. She's never done well staying in one place too long and Mayfield is going to be no exception to this. She didn't like Cocoon for a plethora of reasons but one of the main ones was the artificial environment it had. Mayfield isn't quite as bad as Cocoon but it's bad enough that it's still making her feel like a tiger trapped in a cage. Thusly, this is one of her coping methods. It's not as great as the weapons practice she's started up doing in the house and in the backyard but there's only so much of that anyone can stand.]

[2 - Mayfield High School - During the school day in the halls.]

[So apparently, she's a, uh... Teacher? What the hell. Not like this place made much sense anyway and at least it's a subject she can... Mostly handle. Though what precisely she'd supposed to do with these kids is still a little trying in a place like this... Either way, she's been making it through the classes without looking like a complete buffoon which counted for something. Now though it's between classes and she doesn't have anything this coming period but she does the period after. What the hell is she supposed to do with herself until then?]

[3 - After school - Leaving school grounds/Way home from work - Starting at school and walking streets of Mayfield back to Hastings - Reasonable that she may get lost and not realize she's lost.]

[The day was over. Kids were wondering about here and there, some lingering around the school grounds and others running away as quickly as possible. Fang couldn't blame either set. She'd stick around for a little bit in case anyone had questions before heading out herself. While she learned quick, she was still getting a feel for the town and all it's possible short cuts and cross streets. The alphabet was similar enough that she was able to read it, or maybe she just magically learned how to read is since being teleported here. Who knew but either way, many streets would be crossed before figuring her way back 'home'.]

[4 - Phone Open to all - Evening.]

[She's pretty sure she all ready knows the answer to this but... She's just gotta try.]

No one's 'appened t'see a fair skinned, cheery girl with pigtails an' red 'air runnin' about, yea?

Latvia
12 March 2012 @ 09:34 pm
Pieci ● Action
● Action ; March 11th ; 7133 Brooks Lane

[Latvia stumbles into the basement with a large bag full of empty bottles. He’d gone around the households telling drones he was part of a recycling initiative. None of them really seemed to question it. From a large container he siphons a simple sugar alcohol into them after making sure they’ve been washed out properly.

He’s a little anxious, it’s been a long time since he did any home brewing and he knows that he’s made a mistake somewhere along the line. Taking a swig from one of the full bottles he tests it to make sure he doesn’t go blind or anything. Honestly, it’s the shittiest thing he’s ever tasted, but it’s something he can get drunk off and that's what counts]

● Action ; March 11th ; 1333 Benny Road ; Locked to Lithuania

[Carrying the same bag, the bottles now full he makes his way to Lithuania’s house. By now he’s starting to get used to the town and he doesn’t lose his way so easily. Latvia was starting to get lonely and what better way to remedy that than by drinking with a friend?

He can’t help but look curiously at the Polish flag hanging from the house next to his but he just puts it down to Poland’s ‘in your face’ attitude. Ringing the doorbell he fidgets with the bag handles. If one of his housemates answers he wouldn’t really know what to say but they don’t and he’s glad]

Lithuania! How are you?

[He lifts the bag up for him to see better]

I bought drinks. They don’t taste great but I made them myself. You’re not busy, are you?

● Action ; School

[Latvia rarely pays attention in school. It’s either things he already knows or propaganda he’s not sure he agrees with or not. Today though, he’s really not paying attention. In fact he looks pretty dead. Slumped back in his chair, wearing a pair of dark glasses and occasionally groaning or mumbling something incoherent.

Between classes he isn’t much better. Even though he seems pretty sick he refuses to see the nurse. It’s hard to find somewhere quiet he can just sit and switch off though. As the bell rings he whines and curls up slightly]

.001 oh brother, where art thou?
[A: 624 Topper Street (Closed to housemates)]

[As far as Alphonse remembered, he had gone to sleep in Albright Lane with his mother and brother in adjacent rooms. It had been a harrowing Christmas after Ed... after he... no, best not to think about it. What was important, was that they were all getting back on track.

Until he woke up here.

The pictures on the wall were different, a different mother and was that... GREED?! He knew the homunculus was here, but they certainly hadn't had much to do with each other. If he was in the house, then what about--]

MOM!!

[She's not here, she's not here! His heart is thudding wildly as he searches through the whole house for either family member. Sorry if you were sleeping Erika and Greed, your new not!son has arrived.]

[B: Around Town (Open to All)]

[There is a teenage boy hurrying through the streets of Mayfield today, pink cheeked and puffing for breath as he sprinted down the road. Every so often he stops someone, anyone who isn't a drone, and catches their arm urgently.]

Um... excuse me. Have you seen a boy with an automail arm and leg, and a really kind woman? I've lost them.
