A. Action - [He didn't bother with the phones at all. In fact, once he woke up... he got dressed, and went outside. So! There seems to be a fellow standing outside one of the houses over on 753 Partridge Drive... and he's dressed in the everyday garments that the city provides. He doesn't seem to be too fond of the button down shirt, as it's left wide open... he also seems to be searching for something, or maybe even someone...]

B. Action - [Johnny's calm and collected manner doesn't seem to be with him right now. In fact, he seems almost frantic as he darts down the street. Maybe it's a good idea to snag his attention. After all... it's not usually in the best interest for anyone to be darting out into oncoming traffic...]

C. Action - [With the day drawing to a close, he seems a bit tired. Though should you approach, his attitude is anything but exhausted. Despite his appearance, he seems almost cheerful. Well... almost.]

 I - [phone, morning]
[Sup guys guess who's back from being droned? She sounds terribly uneasy.]

Uh. Hey. Guess I was decommissioned for a while. Kinda creepy to wake up and be wearing a frilly nightgown I know I didn't fall asleep in. [A pause.] Anything really noteworthy happen?

[Another pause, this one longer.] ...and sorry to anyone who might have worried.

II - [highschool, afternoon]
[If you happen to be wandering around after school, you can conveniently find Mion in an empty classroom. She seems to have lugged a sewing machine from one of the Home-Ec rooms up there, and is feverishly repairing stitches and such, from a giant pile of various frilly dresses and costumes. Maid. Catgirl. School swimsuit. Et cetera.]

[ Action: 1334 Benny Road ]

[ Good morning, residents! Did you enjoy the peace and quiet? Good, because now it's going to be disrupted by a very loud and crude apparent eight year old who is not happy in the slightest of where she's been sent. ]

All right, whoever took me here better start talkin'! 'Cause I've got places to be and this certainly ain't one of them! Maybe if you come out right now, I won't pulverize you that much.

[ Is that a threat? You bet it is. ]

[ Action: Around Mayfield ]

[ Since just staying at home wouldn't sate Vita's anger and frustration, she's decided to try to take a walk to clear her head. Being around those drones who thought she was their sister was unnerving enough. So, she'll be around the various stores to check them out as well as try to figure out just what kind of area that she's been taken to. Even though she doesn't have her magic, she still knows how to fight, as well. ]

...Tch, some place this is.

Action locked to household - 1670 Nelson )

---

[Phone call, open to everyone - a chipper voice comes across the line.]

Hello, operator?

---

[Action A - Streets: There's a new guy in town wandering about, curiously looking at everything in town. He's stopped in front of various houses, reading the names on the mailboxes; he's looking over storefronts and street names, and just walking about calmly with a smile on his face. He might stop you to talk if you're passing by.]

Hi! Do you live here? I think I'm lost.

---

[Action B - the library: This is hardly the first time Elmer has been in a new place, so he wastes no time heading to find the library to collect more informaton. We all know how that goes though. Since all he can seem to find is books on car repair and golf, he'll be looking for a librarian or anyone else browsing the shelves.]

This place is pretty weird! Can you tell me where the rest of the books are?

Curse 001: Muggle-fied
Action: 1667 Nelson Street
[Residents of 1667 Nelson Street, there is a lot of noise coming from one of the rooms previously allocated to the drone kid in the house. The door is shut, but one can probably hear the near-hysterical voice of the latest resident increasing in volume:]

No no no no! Where is it!?

Action: Around town
[Someone's skulking around town. Having given up finding his wand, and attempting to come to terms with the situation, he's decided that rather than continue to act in an undignified manner (eg.hyperventilating and crying) he is going to explore the town for more information. However, should one cross Malfoy on the street, speaking to him will get a rather strange response. He seems to flinch and shrink back a little, before mumbling a quick "Good afternoon". He doesn't even look anyone in the eye, choosing instead to move on quickly away from the person.]

Action: Library
[And now he's at the library, checking out the books. It seems the selection of books aren't to his liking, as the pile of discarded books on the table seem to indicate. He's also rapidly losing his patience as the paranoia returns.]

There has to be a way out of here. There has to be!

first exploration
[ a / action: 1485 kramden road ( housemates ) ]

[ Sam had been in enough weird situations that weird was... well, it was pretty normal. It didn't mean that she expected anything or it didn't affect her but she was less thrown by it when it happened. And apparently today it happened.

After saving Earth (again) and making a start on the paperwork Sam had grabbed one of the rooms at the SGC; she'd been too tired to want to attempt to go home and with the time that it was? Staying had been marginally easier.

Except when she awoke? Something felt wrong. The feeling in her gut was her first trigger to it, the one that she always got when something was wrong. After thirteen years she trusted it and despite the fact that she hadn't slept for long she wasn't ignoring it. On opening her eyes that feeling was worse - it wasn't the SGC, if anything it was more like the dream world that Fifth had created and that was bad ]

Oh boy. This... this isn't good.

[ Which was an understatement of the century ]

[ b / phone ( a few hours later ) ]

The last time this happened there wasn't anyone there other than the person that did this and somehow I don't think that's the case this time. [ She was a little wary and knew not to judge (or rule out, in this case) by appearance but with other messages over the phone? It seemed a little less likely ]

Numerous people kidnapped and stuck in some... town? And even if the natives were here they might not be any more help. Damn. [ All of this is far too familiar for her, although given that they'd defeated the last few aliens that did things resembling this? A new one popping up suddently was worrying ]

And this is a long shot but it's still worth asking: has anyone been given a purpose as to why we're here?

[ c / action: in town ( a while later ) ]

[ After finding clothes, talking and forming ideas for a little while Sam's off out in town. What she's looking for? She wouldn't say to anyone but hopefully an answer, or something that someone unaware might not have known of. Whilst people native to their planets might have known about the Stargate if these people weren't from here or didn't have a Stargate? They wouldn't know. So she's looking, and hoping a little ]

[ Not that like, he is or anything. He's just curious. Yep. Curious. ]

Action | Rec Center | Afternoon

[ It's been a while since he's even picked up his tennis racket. It's funny how tennis used to be an everyday thing. A constant. Something that was apart of his daily routine. Now it's something he can do if things aren't blowing up.

He's at the Rec Center tennis courts, rallying hard against a wall. It might've been a while since he's come down here, but he sure as hell isn't out of practice. He'll still be able to kick anybody's ass in a match.

Tennis is a great way to just relax. ]

[001] what do you mean it's a "telephone"
1) Action, backdated to this morning (for 951 Beulah) )

2) Action, out in town a few hours later

[By now, it's early afternoon. Garnet's chosen a set of clothes she's deemed tenable for now (though it still feels wrong, like she's unwittingly stolen them from someone else entirely) and has taken to getting the lay of the land now. This place is like a small kingdom as well, but it's only similar to Alexandria in core concept. Everything from the society to the technology to the layout of the area is foreign to her. She still can't decide if this city itself is just strange in its own right, or if she's the real foreigner.

Originally, the idea was that she'd walk around to ease her nerves a bit and see whatever was outside to see, but she seems to have already forgotten about that. Now, she's just wandering on a whim, staring mostly at the sidewalk in front of her and looking completely out of it.

...To the point where she's not really paying attention to where she's walking, and will probably wind up brushing against or full-out colliding with someone from how absorbed in her own thoughts she is.

Also, she's probably singing to herself while she walks, with such determination that even when she gets to the end of the song, she just goes back and starts from the beginning, over and over again.]

10 March 2012 @ 10:30 pm
1st Case
A) Action: 951 Beulah - Morning, Locked to housemates;

[When Carlton Lassiter woke up on that bright sunny morning, the first thing that came into focus was the happy-go-lucky blonde woman in bed next to him, then the room around him. He didn't recall going out and bringing home a lady-friend after he got off work, in fact - considering how frustrating the last murder case had been, and the relentless annoyance the SBPD's resident "psychic" was (and still is), all Carlton really wanted to do was go home and get the hell away from Spencer.

Once his mind cleared further, he reached immediately for the .357 4-barrel Derringer he kept under his pillow.

missing.]

Oh, this is just great.

[He quickly scrambled out of bed to locate the next handgun he kept in the medicine cabinet, except that was missing too.
As were the guns in the kitchen and in the bookshelf. In fact, upon closer inspection of the house, this wasn't the condominium he had bought for himself and Marlowe.

What was more strange, is that there were pictures in the house that stated he had lived here for quite some time with a wife and children.

He's just going to stand there puzzled for a little bit before storming back upstairs to interrogate the woman in the bedroom]

B: Phone - later the same day;

[Interrogating the woman he woke up in bed with as to the location of his guns proved futile, being greeted with cheery replies as to how he 'shouldn't leave guns out in the open where the kids could get to them'. This only agitated him as he kept telling the strange woman that he didn't have any children no matter how much he insisted he did.

He quickly reached for the phone, dialing out the number to the Psych Office, clearly ready to chew out a certain pain in his ass.]

Spencer, [The man on the line sounds exasperated and very annoyed] I'm not quite sure what sort of 'psychic vision' you'd have that would result in me being anywhere but my residence, but I assure you if this your doing, I will find any loophole possible that results in you and Guster being incarcerated.

☆ 1 - And you may tell yourself, this is not my beautiful house
A) 1445 Mitchell Road - Morning

[So, this isn't his house. And these aren't his pajamas. (Nice though-- he might just keep them.) And he actually had gone to sleep in his own bed the night before, semi-rare occurence as that was, so it seems particularly strange. Everything is all very familiar though; he'd been in a million houses just like it, it could fit in easily in any one of his suburbs.

... The picture on the night stand though? The one of him with an attractive woman who had only the vaguest familiarity about her? In a wedding dress? That was new.]

Now what in the heck is this business?

B) Around Town - Early Afternoon

[Well as long as he's here, he might as well scope out the town. See what's cool, and all that. It's strange-- he's definitely sure the town is one of his, but he can't place it at all. Actually, he can't really place anything at all.]

Amy Pond
10 March 2012 @ 10:56 pm
✰ The First Fairy Tale ✰
►►► 1648 ALBRIGHT (HOME);
[ Amy Pond was a girl who had grown used to seeing the world throughout time, so it didn't come too much of a surprise when she woke up in a strange town. Vexing, but not alarming. What might take her by surprise could be a number of things held within the confines of this house. People who she's surely never met before, strange items she's never happened upon in her entire lifetime, and the decor. Definitely the decor. It doesn't take her long to discern the basics of the situation. The technology (or lack of) indicates she's on Earth (hopeful at least) in the 1950's. The photographs show her that she's a mother of a house full of strangers and that man holding an arm around her is certainly not her stupid-face. Housemates and common visitors to this residence may discover a woman in her early twenties with coppery hair checking every room and every single piece of paper for more details. ]

►►► PHONE (NO FILTERS);
Doctor! [ A lady with not much of a Scottish accent boldly exclaims the word as though it were a proper greeting. ] It's a bit too soon for this kind of joke which is everything but funny! You hear me, raggedy man? [ There's a pause, as though she's considering just how stupid it was to yell over the phone with the hopes he'd hear her. ] Ahem.

I was told that everyone in the town communicates through these phones. That every call in this manner can be heard by every individual at the same time. If that's the honest truth, then I need some answers. First, I suppose, is seeing if there's anyone else who's stuck here. The Doctor, Rory Pond-yes, that is your name while I'm this sour with you, and River Song. That sounds about right, doesn't it? [ Another clearing of the throat follows. ] Second, I need a tailor because I'm tired of floral already.

►►► AROUND TOWN (ALL DAY);
[ Well, it doesn't take her long to get the full story on Mayfield and the strangeness behind it. Not wanting to risk being droned, she'll do what she can to not stand out. Throughout the town of Mayfield, one might find this woman engaging in any of the following activities:
(A) After being informed over phone (quite the passive aggressive chewing out she might add) that she really needed to do her part as a good neighbor and as a member of the Mayfield Ladies' Club, Amy is now browsing through the market. She's paused in the frozen foods section with a box of Gorton’s Fish Sticks in hand, murmuring under her breath that they're called fish fingers, not sticks.

(B) Are you a recent addition to Mayfield? Well, it turns out that Miss Amelia Nightroad apparently "missed" coming to your home to make things better the week before. That's why she's here now with a wooden basket full of various jams and muffins. With an unfolded piece of pink stationary in her other hand. She'll glance at it and then back towards whoever answers the door. After a pause that can only be described as awkward, she'll shove the basket right towards the other party.

(C) Towards the later evening, she can be found swinging in the park, looking up towards the sky. She seems fascinated with the sky and lost in her own thoughts all at the same time. ]

Puzzle 020
[726 Anderson.]

[While today was the pretty usual Saturday for Luke - get up early, solve some puzzles, that sort of thing - he was trying to work on a particularly difficult puzzle while trying to organize his files that he's collected on Mayfield for the past few months he's been here. This was before the mouse he regained from home, Toppy, climbs up on Luke's desk seeming pretty upset over something.]

Squeak!

Toppy? What's the matter?

[Luke turns his attention away from the puzzle he was working on to get a closer look at the mouse. That's when he notices part of Toppy's tail is missing.]

Oh Toppy...did Slugger's cat get you again?

Squeak squeak!

It's really getting too dangerous for you to live here, you know? That kitten's only going to get bigger. Don't worry, I'll figure out a way to get you home. I don't think you're supposed to be stuck here like I am. Let me see what I can do, all right?

[Luke did have an idea in mind. A risky idea involving the Post Office, and while Luke had heard bad stories about what happened to people who asked for their stuff back at the Post Office, he didn't hear anything bad about trying to return something. So, scooping up Toppy, Luke heads to the Post Office to see if he can send his friend back home.]

[Post Office.]

[The Post Office surprisingly wasn't as sinister as Luke thought it should be. In fact as soon as he enters, it's actually looks pretty normal, not that normal really meant anything here.]

Here we are, Toppy. I'm going to try sending you back now, okay?

[Toppy squeaks sadly.]

Don't be like that, I'm glad I got to talk to you again. If this works, say hello to everyone in Misthallery for me, will you?

[Luke approaches the desk, making it clear to the drone working that he wanted to return Toppy home and making it especially clear that he didn't want anything in return for it. Surprisingly the whole process goes a lot smoother then Luke was expecting, as the drone cheerfully takes Toppy to send him back home and then proceeds to send Luke on his way once the order is complete. Luke makes his way back home a bit sadly -

- and that's when it hits.

Luke had no memories of the previous time he was here. All he had to go on was a few pictures and what others had told him, but then he starts to remember. It starts fuzzy at first, like a blurred photograph, but as he stops a few feet away from the Post Office it becomes a lot clearer.

Westport.

It wasn't some kind of false dream. He could remember all of it very clearly - his previous fake family, a man named Giriko and a woman named Roshian. He remembered being convinced to reckless drive a car all over Westport, he remembered the Hazmats, he remembered spending the night in an abandoned house with Lucas, he remembered falling very ill on the last day he was there and his fake mother holding him even though they both knew they were probably going to die soon. And for some reason, he felt a sharp ping of sadness every time he kept thinking about it.

All these sudden memories, it was all so confusing and distressful that Luke can't to anything other then just stand there in complete shock.]

...I remember!

[Phone.]

[Later that evening, Luke has had some time to sort out his feelings. But he's not sure what to do with this information.]

So um, say that you were supposedly here in Mayfield before but for the longest time you couldn't remember any of it...is it possible to get those memories back over time?
