1st Spellcard: Transcendence of Faith "Armed Only With Prayer"

(Greetings, housemates! You have a new daughter/sister in your home who's understandably worried about her new location and the loss of her powers; unlike typical Mayfield newbies, however, Reimu here has gone and pretty much littered decorated the entire house with paper charms to ward off the evil that brought her here. You just might see her writing up a few more charms or hanging up the finished ones, but she's taking as much of her shrine as she can into this new place.)

Action B: Outside 842 Hastings; Open to all

(With the house now buried protected by charms and seals, Reimu, in an unfortunately gray plaid dress, sits outside her home in a state of meditation and prayer. With her hair bow gone, her long hair flowed with the wind. While she should investigate the area, the lack of her power and even her normal clothes made her feel vulnerable. With her shrine gone (again), the yin-yang orbs missing and the Hakurei border nowhere nearby, Reimu resorted to prayer as her only means of leveling her mind so she could think rationally.

Translation: this is the best time to annoy her and disrupt her with whatever you want. Fellow Touhou girls are more than welcome to taunt greet her and tease comfort her regarding the formerly powerful miko of Hakurei losing everything but her sense of self.)

That ridiculous fashion where they can look at us and call us the weird ones? I'm personally not liking it, either.

I don't think anyone would want to get used to a place like this. The netherworld has more cheer and stability, from what I understand.

Well, even the netherworld isn't an option now - if you die, you'll simply wake up in your bed the next morning, still trapped her. Like a bad dream that never ends.

That's...honestly what bothers me. Just how can a place circumvent death like that? Sure, people in Gensokyo could still fly around as spirits or ghosts, but even they had to face death.

The obnoxious, the rude and the annoying. At least the drones are easy enough to ignore.

They have some kind of machine that does it. A little while ago, some people broke it... except then anyone who had died and come back here began to suffer the old wounds that killed them.

As long as it doesn't come down to constant self-defense, I should at least be able to manage for the first few months. (Reimu's somersault kick is a little rusty.)

So they have technology doing that...I suppose that's more Sanae's area than mine, but are those transferred wounds at least heal-able? I'd hate to try and live with constant laser burns.

Not constant, just every now and then things get out of hand. On the bright side, the tend to give us things back after such incidents.

It seemed they could be healed, but they'd reopen again... luckily, that's all been fixed now and we're back to the usual business of waking up after dying.

Perhaps after some time, I'll be able to deal with them like I dealt with problems back home.

A dimension where not dying is normal but prayer isn't...this backwards logic is making me think too much.

I don't think anyone finds this place normal in the slightest... if there's anything that's a constant among all the worlds the prisoners here come from, it's that.

That's easily something I can agree with. Normal is me drinking tea back at my shrine, not wishing for it in this terribly uncomfortable dress. It doesn't match me at all!

I dunno; the right dress can be pretty useful in the right weather, but then again, there are few problems a spellcard or two can't handle.

If it's just functionality, there are plenty of things you can buy, though I doubt they'd have them in your colors.

Spellcards or any of your powers are really the sort of thing you want when things start getting crazy around here...

I'm sure my luck wouldn't allow me to find something with my colors unless it was tacky. Sure I love red and white, but polka dots are just not for me.

That's why I'm hoping to at least get a few of my powers back. I'd even be fine with just flying; I can't imagine grazing on foot.

There's nothing wrong with coffee... but I'd hardly call what they serve around here "coffee".

I don't see why not. Unlike you, most households here have someone who gets paid for their work.

My work was essentially charity back home. That technically makes me a good person.

Perhaps there's a way to profit from these drones, if it's that easy...
