[Early in the morning, before school, Marisa takes the time to place a multilayer ward about her residence and its yard. It has three specific wards, powerful wards - one each to bar The Major, Bazett, and any troll with tyrian purple blood from the property. There is also a subtler ward cast that will target any non-resident (Merem isn't affected) that tries to significantly harm another while on the property through a combination binding/paralyzing effect. Those with a strong enough magic ability could break the wards, but the general feeling about them is that it would be a bad idea with how well they are woven.

The casting can easily be felt by anyone with the slightest bit of magical sensing.]


[Action - School]

[Marisa is sitting in the cafeteria, completely ignoring her yummy homemade lunch, and seems to be working on a map of sorts. Her brow furrows as she wads up the paper and throws it at the nearby garbage can - missing it - and starts over again. She's going to end up going through a lot of paper at this rate.]

So... I can't remember where everyone lives. Like the addresses and how to get to some place. [It pains her to have to admit this.] I need you all, if you're my friends or allies or just people I like to bug - especially everyone from Gensokyo - to remind me.

[Bazett will be standing outside her neighbor's house, trying to figure out what sort of spell had been cast on the residence. Currently, all she can see is that there is some sort of bounded field over the property. Tracing a finger along the outside of the field, she can see that it is a selective one, but does not know what it might be selecting for or against.]

[She decides to try to ask Ciel about it. After all, as the one who lived in the house, Ciel should know more about this than Bazett does.]

[With that thought in mind, she pushes against the bounded field...]

[The witch on the house's roof walks over to that side when she feels the ripple as the air seems to feel solid to Bazett, though with a slight charged feel to it.]

That's a bad idea, ze. Do you always go touching magic you come across regardless of what it is and what it might do?

[Merem is poking at the ward....although it doesn't affect him, he's still poking.]

[Marisa didn't even try to make it affect him. No need to waste the energy with a futile attempt.]

[Rin's out for a morning jog when she's near Marisa's house when the barriers go up. It sort of feels odd, but since she's unaccustomed to any magic but her own, she doesn't really notice it till she looked over.]

Oh hey, Marisa hi! [waves]

[The witch is standing on her roof and looks over at the call.]

[Ciel will be watching through the window inside the kitchen. At the activation, she stops what she was doing and looks up, and adopts a pensive expression to get a feel of the wards.

As expected of the magician who excelled at using outside sources to make up her own lack of reserves, it's a different variant to the bounded fields she's used to. Still superbly crafted, and... hm, does she recognize an effect she's deployed herself to make a few of her own a while back?

A quick learner that adapts to the new sorceries she witnesses... She can go far if it wasn't for her dangerous lab works in the basement. Ciel already had an idea, having caught a glimpse of Marisa's room before and seen her do smaller things on her own here and there. With this though, there's no doubting Marisa's abilities even a bit further. ...She doubts that she'll ever need to approach her "daughter" about her thaumaturgical practices, Marisa seems to understand well what lines she shouldn't cross for the most part, but these are interesting things to note and keep in mind, nevertheless.

Well, better get back to these dishes, they won't do themselves. Maybe she'll ask her about it, once she comes back in.]
