1st Spellcard: Transcendence of Faith "Armed Only With Prayer"

Action A: 842 Hastings Boulevard; locked to housemates

(Greetings, housemates! You have a new daughter/sister in your home who's understandably worried about her new location and the loss of her powers; unlike typical Mayfield newbies, however, Reimu here has gone and pretty much littered decorated the entire house with paper charms to ward off the evil that brought her here. You just might see her writing up a few more charms or hanging up the finished ones, but she's taking as much of her shrine as she can into this new place.)

Action B: Outside 842 Hastings; Open to all

(With the house now buried protected by charms and seals, Reimu, in an unfortunately gray plaid dress, sits outside her home in a state of meditation and prayer. With her hair bow gone, her long hair flowed with the wind. While she should investigate the area, the lack of her power and even her normal clothes made her feel vulnerable. With her shrine gone (again), the yin-yang orbs missing and the Hakurei border nowhere nearby, Reimu resorted to prayer as her only means of leveling her mind so she could think rationally.

Translation: this is the best time to annoy her and disrupt her with whatever you want. Fellow Touhou girls are more than welcome to taunt greet her and tease comfort her regarding the formerly powerful miko of Hakurei losing everything but her sense of self.)

[Yeah, she was getting groceries. Walking home. Didn't even see it coming. Excited to see Reimu as she was, Byakuren knows better than to interrupt one's prayer. So she takes a seat on the edge of the lawn, waiting.]

I see even the Myouren Temple residents are here, too. This wouldn't happen to be the Moriya Shrine trying to be the dominant religion in Gensokyo again, would it?

(Ever notice how the Touhou girls almost never say hi as their greeting?)

I haven't seen any of the girls from Moriya, sadly.

Maybe they'll make their sudden appearance here in due time.

I never thought the outside world could get this twisted, even if this is some type of other dimension. I trust you've been doing well?

Ah, likewise. Some of the events here... [She sighs and shakes her head.]

So not all is well in this dystopian suburb? Things never look as simple as they should...

It's sadly very deceiving, Reimu-san. Just a few weeks ago, we all... [Her sentence trails off, and she figures it's better to let things go. She shakes her head, and scrambles to her feet.]

If it hurts you to bring up those memories, then I won't ask you to recount them.

Come; the grass is fresh and the air is clean enough.

(She even pats a spot on the ground. She doesn't have to sit precisely there, but plenty of lawn to pick~)

There's rarely enough time for peaceful moments in this town, I'm afraid. I might as well enjoy them as they come to me...

It's important that we hold on to our sense of selves during times like this. Even though beating people up usually helps solve my problems faster, there are times when prayer is the easier option.

Sometimes it's peaceful moments like this that help make the rougher moments more tolerable, you know?

I have my moments. (She says with a bit of pride. Totally ignoring the idea that Byakuren may have called Reimu a child.)

I guess I just haven't really seen what this town is capable of yet. Sure I'm vulnerable now more than ever, but I'm really just bored.

Wait a few weeks. You'll soon be thoroughly entertained. [Though the way she says it makes it sound oddly ominous.]

Actually, this is something I've sort of handled before. Being near powerless, I mean. There was a time when my own spiritual power did nothing more than tickle opponents; my only weapon was the yin-yang orb...

(The first of many times Reimu's shrine would get wrecked.)

It is. There were plenty of times I hit myself with it, but I've long since mastered controlling it.

Well, that's good. [She rubs her forehead.] Regardless, please do not ever go to the Post Office to get your things back, even if you feel you need them. The prices are very steep.

That shouldn't be too hard to keep in mind; I never have enough money for really big things, anyway.

They don't take money, Reimu-san. [Her demeanor suddenly darkens, her tone losing all evidence of joking.]

(Even Reimu catches on to that. Things are more grim than she originally thought.)
