Action - 850 Goldberg

[Chell opens the door to find 3 packages of varying sizes, one small and rather flat, one medium-large one, and one quite large one of a suspicious size.

She opens the small one first to find her clothes from Aperture. She doesn't plan on wearing them again, but they could come in handy later, you never know. The next one contains her portal gun. She hasn't seen many places that portals could be placed on, but if there were any, it'd be very useful.

Finally, Chell turns to the last one. It's about as tall as a turret, so that's what's got her worried. It's a bit wider, though, so she's not sure what to make of that. She circles the box, knocking on it to see if she can get any information that way.

She assumes that if it was a turret, the gun portion would be facing towards the door, so she tips the box over so that if there was a turret inside, it'd now be facing the ground instead.

Chell pries the box open and discovers that not only is it a turret, but it's the oversized turret that she had seen a few times. It had never attacked her or anyone else that she saw, it just somehow used the elevator and oversaw some of the other turrets when they were making music.

It's an odd choice of something to be returned to her, so she shrugs, just leaves it where it is, and goes back inside the house.

She sets her clothes on the Companion Cube, and when she turns around, the turret is standing in front of her. Chell dives beside the couch and peers around at the turret. The turret doesn't make any movements, it doesn't even have a red laser sight for targeting, it just stands there, staring blankly.

Chell waves her hand at the turret, and it still doesn't move. She shrugs to herself and stands up, walking past it and over to the curtains. She turns her back to the turret and pulls off a long strip of cloth and goes to work using it as a strap for the portal gun. She doesn't want to leave it in the house alone with Cliff and carrying it with her hands would get old, so this was a nice compromise.

When she turns around to head for the door, once more the turret stands staring at her. Chell frowns at it and decides that if anyone would know what's going on, it'd be GLaDOS.

She leaves the house and heads down the street.]

Action - Around Town - The streets on the way to 1450 Mitchell Road

[If you're walking down the street or peeking out a window, you may see Chell being followed by a large turret. You never see the turret move, however, if you take your eyes off of it for even a second, it'll suddenly be further down the street and closer to Chell.]

Action - 1450 Mitchell Road

[Chell finally arrives at GLaDOS' house and starts banging on the door, she's got a frustrated expression on her face as she does so.

The turret is waiting quietly behind her and may not be seen at first glance.]

[Chell nods and writes down, "I'm at 850 Goldberg." She pauses and then writes underneath, "How did it get rainbow colored?"]

An' yer not gonna believe me if I tell ya.

[Chell shrugs and writes in the notebook, "I've probably heard stranger."]

A flying turquoise pony painted it with rainbow paint.

*He could not be more deadpan if he tried.*

[Chell stands back and takes this in, nodding slightly. She then writes for Sniper to read, "Must have been one of Pinkie Pie's friends."]

Th' what now?

[Chell scrawls out a response, "Pinkie Pie's a pink pony. She's VERY enthusiastic."]

I'm assumin' she's pink then. Ain't met that one. Jus' the blue one that flies.

Didn't realize there was a whole herd of them.

[Chell nods and writes down, "She's mentioned her friends, but I don't know how many of them are here. I haven't seen the blue one."]

Was blue with wings and some rainbow colored mane and tail. Had this paint that turned everything rainbow colors and dumped it on my house when I was on th' roof.

Took me a month t' get my hat to stop being yellow.

[Chell blinks at this, that sounds annoying. She writes for Sniper, "How'd you finally get it out?"]

I'm not sure. Th' drone wife in my house did somethin' to it. Took a while, but it worked eventually.

The house was a rainbow fer even longer. I don't know what happened with that. Guess the town jus' fixed it one night. I sure didn't paint it.

[Chell looks slightly surprised before she writes, "Didn't know the drones were good for anything."

All the ones she had encountered so far seemed fairly useless, especially because of the way they treated her since she was a girl.]

Pretty sure she only fixed it because she thinks she's married t' me. Dunno why she helped considerin' I kept her locked in th' basement fer a good while.

The drones creep me out.

[Chell can't help but smirk a little at his way of handling his drone wife. She hadn't had drone husbands for long and had instead opted to spend as little time as possible at home.

She writes down for him, "I like your style. I'm not fond of them myself."]

She didn't seem t' mind. On the bright side they're downright stupid and easy to get t' do what you want. The downside is they're even here at all.

[Chell nods and writes down, "I prefer to try and avoid them, myself." There had been a few times when she had been forced to interact with them, and it had not been pleasant.]

Probably fer th' best. Too bad we can't just round them all up and put them somewhere we don't 'ave to deal with them anymore. Probably make a whole lot of people in town happy to never see them again.

[Chell thinks this over for a few moments, then nods and writes down, "We could stuff them all in a building and let them sort out the details."]

They'd probably get along just fine and start their own town.

Say, that's not a bad idea, let's send 'em all off to go make their own town, and leave us be.

[Chell smirks, then writes down, "All we need to do is find someplace for them to go, and then we're set."

Well this can't be th' only town around here. Though I tried t' walk down the road a piece an' ya just end up coming back on Mayfield from the other side. Almost like ya walked around the entire world.

But Scout said somethin' once about another town out there. West-somethin'erather

[Chell nods and quickly writes, "I do the same thing every day. It seems that all there is is Mayfield. I was given information from Westport, I copied it into this notebook."]

Yeah, that's th' place. Wonder how we go about gettin' there. Though I don't much want t' find it. That's where all th' hazmat blokes came from.
