Prayer Two: The Burned Man

[Joshua ignored his orders to prank people and thanks to that, died. Mayfield managing to do what even Caesar could not. However this being Mayfield, he's soon back.

He does receive an envelope in the mail. Opening it up he finds himself looking at a picture of a very familiar flag. He barely has time to say anything before he's hit with intense burning pain.

A. Hello Mayfield. There is a man sitting on his front steps, looking like he's getting his breath back. He's covered in horrific burns and has a piece of paper clenched in his hands.

B. Walking around town. Argh...it's the Mummy...no wait. Just a man wrapped in bandages from head to foot. Stop and stare? If you look at him for long he'll ask if he can help you with something.

C. The Church. The Burned Man in the church, reading a bible off to the side. Yes, there is a man wrapped in bandages sitting in the spot Joshua Graham usually spent his time reading.]

How kind of the town to return some of our things after that. I had almost gotten used  to things too. Thank you for the reminder of reality Mayfield.

On an unrelated note, would anyone be able to tell me if the town has a source of bandages aside from the hospital?

[Cain is often in the church to look for his brother, and today is no exception. There are often strange sights in there, people he doesn't recognise, but a living mummy is still a new one.

So Joshua will get a little boy who looks about eight quietly approaching; he doesn't want to disturb a faithful man in prayer, so he's just silently looking over at what passage he's reading. Mainly because it's a surprise to find anyone in the church who actually... believes in God. That counts for the clergy too.]

[He gives the stranger a polite smile, pretending not to notice the bandages tactfully.]

My brother is a priest here, I often come to be with him while he's working.

I'm quite fine. The town returned something to me, that's all.

The good thing about this place is how quickly we get restocked. Just keep going back every day or two if you need more, and they should be there.

[It's Shirley's first time stepping into the church. She looks around, not sure what to expect, when she spots a man in the corner. Normally even Shirley wouldn't bother someone in a church, but the bandages catch her attention. She goes over.]

What happened to you?

[Indicating the bandages.]

I was burnt.

[To put it in its simplest least explaining terms. Burnt/set on fire. Which is why his entire body is bandaged.]

A neurotic miniature Securitron, his name is Muggy and he really, really likes coffee mugs. I met him back when I was stuck in Big MT... should tell you that story one of these days.

( There's a moment of silence and then a thoughtful hum. ) Oh, guess that's what they meant when it was mentioned they really could give anything back. You alright?
