{ACTION} Mayfield Elementary; before class
[Despite seeing and hearing some things he didn't want to encounter during the trip into the void, Czeslaw has been attending school without missing a day. Dressed in a white shirt with a tie (fixed to be straight by his drone mother) and jacket but missing his usual hat, Czes makes his way on campus, arriving a little bit early.

He bumps shoulders with people sometimes, uttering a small "sorry" whenever he does. But if he sees a face he recognizes, he looks up with the best smile he could plaster on his face.]

Hi... good morning! How's it going?

{ACTION} Stone Street; afternoon
[Czeslaw received something in the mail after coming home from school. It was just an envelope with a card inside, but what's important to Czes is what is dran on the card. It's a two-panel comic, a simple picture of a human with a wound in the first panel; the human's wound is healed in the second. He looks at it for a couple of seconds before he pales and nearly drops it, turning white and running inside the house.]

{PHONE} filtered to Firo Prochainezo
Firo! Hey Firo, can I talk to you?

[First he calls Firo, because this is the guy he was living with back home. First he's got to call Firo and see if he's still alive and around, and tell him what happened. He already tried to see if the mail wasn't joking, and sure enough it was real. The cut on his lip he bit down on it earlier healed in seconds.]

Not over the phone, though -- I can come to to your house or meet you anywhere, but I need to talk to you!

{ACTION} Nelson Street; nighttime
[Czes was also going to try calling Elmer C. Albatross but instead he runs. He remembers that Elmer lived on Nelson Street, so he runs as fast as he can to that street, hoping he'll find the house. But it's the one with the treehouse, right?

He's running so fast he might crash right into a passerby, saying "Sorry!" and hoping he won't get pulled into a conversation.]

Because you started- Hey, wait!

[He chases after Czes.]

[CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, FIRO he is surprisingly fast for being a little over two thirds of Firo's height.]

[Come on, Czes, is this really necessary? Firo chases after him, at first not going at top speed due to the embarrassment of having to run after this crazy kid in public.]

[Haven't you heard of letting loose and enjoying yourself Firo? Czes turns around and taunts him a little before he finally reaches the park.]

You little brat!

[At the taunting Firo breaks into top speed, sprinting after Czes into the park.]

[Firo gets Czes screaming a hilariously purposeful child's scream as he runs like hell from him. Kyaaaa.]

[Firo almost slows from being startled by the scream, but he keeps on chasing Czes.]

Wh-what the hell are you screamin' for?!

[When his scream dies down he's still running, and as he looks over his shoulder at Firo he laughs a little.]

Nothing!

Nothin'?

[He shakes his head.]

You're weird, you know that?

[He puts on a last burst of speed and reaches out to try and catch Czes's shoulder. The kid is pretty darn fast, and he's afraid of slowing down before he does.]

Wah!

[He tries to escape Firo as he's caught, but trying to escape makes him trip over his own feet and topple over straight for the ground--]

[Uh oh. He reaches out to catch Czes by his collar, just missing it as Czes falls.]

Um... sorry.

[He offers his hand to help Czes up.]

[He falls face first and just lies there for a bit.]

That hurt.

[He leaves his hand outstretched, waiting for Czes to take it.

Don't be such a drama queen, kid.]

I didn't mean to... You all right?

[No he's gonna lie here face down that was rood, Firo.]

Mnnnnnnnng. Yes, I'm all right.

[still lying here]

Then get up already!

[Now impatient, he kneels down beside Czes and nudges his shoulder. to pick the kid up or to leave him there?]

Fine, fine! [He swats at Firo's hand and peels himself off the ground, brushing off pebbles and dirt from his clothes.] There!

[Firo steps back to allow Czes room to stand unimpeded.]

No need to be so rude about it. You still wanna swing?

I'm not being rude. [Huff.] Yeah, I wanna swing. Let's go! I promise I won't run away from you this time.

You'd better not!

[He smiles, though it's tinged with exasperation, and walks over to the swings. He grabs one by the chain and pulls it back and forth.]

Still sure you don't want me to push you?

I'm very sure! [He says, climbing on and standing on the rubber seat.] I want to see how high I can go!

[He chuckles and steps back, mostly out of the way, unless Czes starts swining too far too fast.]

All right then. Let's see it!

[He feels like that's a challenge, so he puffs out his cheeks and starts to swing, gripping the chain tightly. It takes a little bit until he really gets started, but aside from excruciating pain and the things that cause it, Czes doesn't have a lot of fears. Or he does have a lot of fears but it's okay if it's not causing him pain. So he starts swinging pretty high up eventually, high enough to hurt if he jumps off and lands wrong.]

[Firo steps back out of the way, surprised to see Czes go so high. It gets to the point where he can't not say something, even if he realizes he may have been the one to drive Czes to this point.]

...Hey, Czes, maybe you should slow down.

Huh? [Czes' attention flickers to Firo, but his grip on the swing is firm.] Why? I'll be fine!

[He tenses when Czes looks back, ready to catch him if he slips off.]

You're goin' too high--you could hurt yourself!
