That's not precisely how I expected to wake up yesterday, but all things considered, it could be worse.

Well then, introductions, I suppose. Best as I can manage, at least. My name is Remus, and I assure you that I am a completely uninteresting human being. So uninteresting, I can't rightly think how to introduce myself, apparently.

[sigh] I always was crap at this.

I'm still-- still trying to work everything out here, so if someone would be so kind as to entertain a few questions? I realize we're all relatively in the dark here, but...

An angel? As in, wings and halos and choirs singing when you enter a room?

Well, I've lost my wings and I never quite got used to the whole 'halo' thing, and there certainly aren't any angleic choirs anymore ---

Ah, of course, forgive me rudeness. I'm Aziraphale.

Aziraphale. That's a bit of a mouthful.

Lovely to meet you. I'm Remus.

You may call me Zira, if you'd like. It's the name this place has given me in spite of my own. It's a pleasure to meet you too, Remus.

In spite of your own? Why would I call you something you don't want to be called?

Ah, well, it's easier to blend in with people when you have a more human sounding name, don't you think?

If the trick is "normal," we'd really have to define what "normal" is, and that could take a lifetime.

You're quite right - and I've never been particularly good with normality. It's a tricky business.

Well, yes. It'd hardly to anyone any good if I wandered around with my wings out, would it? Not many people believe in angels anymore.

[Remus can't say much. He's kind of in the same boat, with the whole Muggles and wizards thing.]

Mm. I understand, actually. [As if he hadn't really been expecting to.] People wouldn't understand. They might fear you.

I'm not entirely up to date on humanity's view on angels, but I'm sure that being known as one would probably bring an end to my quiet London life.
