[It would have been a peaceful and uneventful Mayfield morning, given the mild chaos of the past few days, were it not for the loud clanging of pots and pans accidentally crashing onto the floor. A complete accident. Honest. The kitchen itself is not a disaster zone at this point, but it's well on its way to becoming one, courtesy of a young girl who's far too used to using magic at this point to do without it now while making breakfast.
There's anger, confusion, and a slight fear. But most of all, there's hunger.]
All of this would be a world easier if I could just get my wand back!

[There's a girl on aborrowed stolen just for a little bit really bike stopping every once in a while to squint at the shops for any familiar faces, or even any trace of magic. Please excuse her if she crashes into you.]

Sirius is apped and Remus might be next app cycle.
[She unlocks the door to her house and offers Lily to come inside.]
I'm in love with your Sirius's icon set. I can't wait!
He's actually one of my mains. Though he and Remus come as a matched set. There will be awkwardness
[She waves her hand as if anticipating what Lily's next thought is.]
Don't bother trying to attack her directly. She's got full control over the whole damn place. You don't play her game and you end up like one of them. Most people call them drones. I prefer Stepfords, since apparently some of them were real people once.
[She pauses partway to the kitchen.]
Oh, and don't drink the milk, it's apparently poisoned.
Awkwardness is delicious. I've been stalking a little bit.
It's like war, only without anyone fighting back.
Oh god! So you've seen our awful logs on bakerstreet?
No one ever said we weren't fighting back. Just subtly.
Personal museboxes, actually! But now I'm going to have to go look
I didn't know we had anything in our museboxes. >< iwannaimyounow
Trust me, I'm the person you'd offend the least with that. So what are your plans, now that you know what's going on?

I want to help, even if I'm inadequate. I don't know exactly what I'm up against, but it wouldn't feel right just to stand by and do nothing.

[She reaches into her hiding spot and pulls out the letter Cade gave her.]
I'll need it back though.

...I'm not going to hinder anyone. I can promise as much.

I'm told I'm particularly good at mixing potions. That's almost like making drugs and droughts.

[They might be useful if she could do it.]

It's a less benign form of cooking, you could say. [She smiles despite herself. It's one of professor Slughorn's jokes that she's never expected to use.]
no subject
[That could actually be damn useful.]
How good are you at reading people?
no subject
I'm not sure. I've never been good at legilimency. Unless you mean the boring old sort, and I can tell you I'm pretty good at bluffing that. Some of my classmates can attest to that.

Well then, let's just keep you close to the breast for now.

[Jenny sat back now, thinking a moment before asking the next question.]
What's your world like?
no subject
Owls. We use those instead of the telephones. [She says suddenly, before shaking her head.] My world isn't very different from this place, basically. This is earth too, right? And the calendar seems about the same. But where I am from... My home, there happen to be small, well hidden communities of magic users--wizards and witches.
[She's been warned again and again not to break the secrecy code, but nothing's prepared her for a jump in time like this.] Some of them keep to themselves, and others live among muggles, if not integrate completely into their societies. Every once in a while a wizard child would be born to a muggle family. [Lily cups her mug again, noting how her tea has cooled.]
Like myself.
