[ With every step the small detective takes it becomes more and more apparent that he hasn't slept much the night previous. He's practically dragging himself up to the school. He may have just had a bad night or maybe he stayed up too late with his experiments or note taking. ]

[ It doesn't matter what he spent the night doing, the point is he's far too tired to notice a familiar kitten trotting after him like he's its mother. ]

[ Something he hasn't done in a while is wander around town to make note of all the recent changes in either the residents or the town it's self. So feel free to notice a little boy with a note pad out scribbling things in on occasion, stopping to look things over and then continuing on his way. ]

[ Once again, he fails to notice the kitten following eagerly behind him. It stops when he stops and starts walking again when he does. ]

[Chell's out and about and during her explorations, she's noticed the boy doing near exactly the same thing she's been doing for months. He's writing things down a little more often than she does, but it's still the same.

Has he found anything that would lead them out of this place?]

[ No, sadly he has not. However, he is far from giving up hope. He stores his notebook in his pocket before starting up the side walk again and stopping just in front of her. ]

[Maybe they could work together, she's been at this for months and doesn't plan on stopping any time soon.

She gives him a polite nod.]

[Sorry, she's not that talkative at first until she warms up to people.]

[ That's okay. Conan's not so good at the social skills thing himself. ]

[ However, he has learned that being an adorable little kid has its advantages. ]

Not today, I haven't seen anything different in a while. But I'll keep looking.

[Conan... Quake with fear as you are greeted by the most horrid thing ever. A beast of such terror that words do it no justice. A chipper morning person.]

[ He's in the middle of a particularly big yawn when she greets him and merely gives her a look. It might be genuine annoyance or it might be that he's just that tired. ]

You know you have a kitten following you, right?

Hm? [ He glances back behind him to see the kitten sitting on the sidewalk and staring at him expectantly. ]

...You again?

[ Apparently in the language of cats this mean 'come here' because the cat gets up and walks over to rub against his legs and Conan just lets out a sigh. ]

Is that your pet? That's kind of cute.

[1_truth]

No, just some cat that got stuck in a tree once.

[ It's purring and rubbing against his legs ]

...Would you stop?

[ The Kitten just looks up at him, mews once and goes back rubbing against him. ]

...I'll take that as a no.

[ ... well that's a familiar sight. walking faster to catch up to, with penguin bff following along! ]

[ He may not have heard the cat but he certainly hears Platina. So he stops in his tracks to turn to see who's coming and at the same time the kitten does the same, Conan still hasn't really noticed it. ]

[ leaning down a little to pat 8D ]

Huh? Friend? [ his eyes fall on the cat as it purrs and rubs up against Platina. ]

...Oh, him again.

Ah-it isn't that-I mean-It's not that I don't like cats-just I wasn't expecting to see him.

It doesn't seem like it-not passed anything I already had, anyway. Still though, that doesn't mean there won't be anything.

We'll certainly get further looking for something that stands out than some of the other approaches that have been attempted.
