[ With every step the small detective takes it becomes more and more apparent that he hasn't slept much the night previous. He's practically dragging himself up to the school. He may have just had a bad night or maybe he stayed up too late with his experiments or note taking. ]

[ It doesn't matter what he spent the night doing, the point is he's far too tired to notice a familiar kitten trotting after him like he's its mother. ]

[ Something he hasn't done in a while is wander around town to make note of all the recent changes in either the residents or the town it's self. So feel free to notice a little boy with a note pad out scribbling things in on occasion, stopping to look things over and then continuing on his way. ]

[ Once again, he fails to notice the kitten following eagerly behind him. It stops when he stops and starts walking again when he does. ]

Hm? [ He glances back behind him to see the kitten sitting on the sidewalk and staring at him expectantly. ]

[ Apparently in the language of cats this mean 'come here' because the cat gets up and walks over to rub against his legs and Conan just lets out a sigh. ]

No, just some cat that got stuck in a tree once.

[ It's purring and rubbing against his legs ]

...Would you stop?

[ The Kitten just looks up at him, mews once and goes back rubbing against him. ]

...I'll take that as a no.

[She giggles a bit]

That's really cute.

[ Conan isn't really sure what to do. It's not like the cat's hurting anything and he really could never forgive himself if he ever mistreated a poor defenseless creature-this cat falling easily into that category. ]

Maybe fate or the runes determined you needed a new friend.

[She nods]

The runes? [ blink blink ]

Oh, on my world, there are 27 runes that pretty much created the world. Some people think they also control fate.

I'm sure there's something similar on my world, but there are so many religions and beliefs it's hard to keep them all straight.

[solarhussyalert]

Oh, some nations have gods they follow too, but in Falenas we are tied to the sun rune and... It gets REALLY upset if its not worshiped.

Well, I've personally never seen any proof of a God in my world but from what I've learned from mythology Gods and other beings of worship are selfish.

I'm not saying I'm atheist just that I'm not particularly religious.

I've heard some worlds are like that and in all honesty, if there were no proof I wouldn't be certain if the so called gods weren't just excuses that con artists used to swindle the dumb. But I've seen the sun rune, and back home we were cleaning up the damages from the last time someone did things it didn't like.

I see. Well, normally I'd remain skeptic until I could see it with my own eyes- but this place has forced me to accept quite a bit I wouldn't have ever thought possible. [ Not to mention a certain incident back home ]

You've seen actual supernatural things that didn't exist on your world? Or just how messed up it is here?

Mostly because it's so messed up but It's more a mix of the two.

....Yeah it is really messed up here, but I guess we have to endure.
