[This morning Doc Scratch woke up well-rested and in a smaller room, with a single bed. Plenty of things wrong with that - he never recalled feeling well-rested since coming here and knows this isn't a room in the house he's assigned. It also becomes quickly obvious that something is very wrong with his body. He stumbles out of the bed, unable to retain the proper balance he normally does, and sees just how small he is all of the sudden. He also sees something else.

His eyes quickly dart around and he finds a long mirror in the room. He cautiously walks up to it and--

...Well, he doesn't scream. But he easily becomes startled at what he sees. This body wasn't the one they gave him when he arrived in Mayfield. It's the body of a young girl. A girl who can't be much older than Rose or Jade at that. He touches the mirror, making sure this isn't an illusory trick, and that confirms it in his mind. Then the next realization comes: his connection to the Green Sun is gone, as is his omniscience. This isn't just an ordinary Mayfield prank of modifying his body. It's as if he's an entirely different person.]

[He says tentatively and grits his teeth afterward. His voice has even been changed to that of a girl. This isn't his assigned body. Which begs to ask: what if someone has his body then? All his powers and his omniscience. That isn't good. He needs to find his body.

..........Staring at this body wasn't going to help, unfortunately. Even if this girl is fairly cute looking, he has to have priorities right now.]

1125 Taylor Road

[After making a quick assessment of what this body is capable of, "Mami Tomoe" is now walking down the stairs and going to the kitchen. If he will be out all day in this girl's body, he may as well get something to eat beforehand. Housemates (or bodyswapped-mates even) are free to come up to him while he gets food. For those familiar with Mami, you may notice her being a bit more quiet and reserved than what may be normal. Unfortunately, Doc Scratch has never actually met Mami and has no idea how she acts. He'll have to wing it. Though he has a feeling he'll be outed eventually, keeping low until he finds a way to defend himself is necessary. Security is the top priority, next to finding the girl in his body.]

Around town

A] Before Magical Girl Transformation:
[After leaving the house, Scratch immediately begins his search on Bilko Boulevard. The obvious place to go, seeing as how the girl occupying his body should have woken up there. But, as he waits on the street with the hopes of his body walking out, he wonders if they have walked off like he did. That means they may have gone to town.

So, Scratch sets course for town to search. Anyone of Mami's CR is free to intercept, though expect a Mami who may not be acting like her regular self. Scratch is an expert in the art of manipulation, but he's playing in the dark here. For anyone else, he'll be walking around to a few places on his adventure. Clothing store (though he ignores a slight temptation to take advantage of this body and try something on), the bakery (a slight craving for sweets, which is normally not one he has) and even the library (though now none of the books he used to read are available).]

B: After Magical Girl Transformation:

[And then Doc Scratch figured out how to cause the magical girl transformation with the soul gem. It's certainly...different. This girl isn't nearly as powerful as he is, but she is certainly above average in this form. Now to test it out.

So now he's in this outfit and shooting out single shot muskets at the trees around the park. His aim is fairly good, but the free-flow of the powers he has can be challenging to control. In short - expect several bullets whizzing past the tree and possibly even grazing past you.

Along that he's also creating muskets out of thin air in his hands, making them come from the small hat, from the skirt and even having them pop up right out of his chest. He is having too much fun with this power than he would like to admit.

--But, it isn't just for fun. He's hoping that the real Mami Tomoe, in his body, will be attracted by the display of her powers being used so fragrantly. Lets hope it works.]

Phone; Later in the day

[So as the day comes to a close and it's almost time for dinner, he'll get on the phone to pose an amusing question.]

I have a thought. What if we were all stuck in these bodies for the rest of our stay in Mayfield? How would you feel about being switched with someone you know or even a complete stranger at that? I'm not saying that is what will happen, but it's an amusing thought, right?

[And a light giggle is added to the end. Yeah Doc Scratch sure did ruin Mami's reputation in one day. He'll give her some candy to make it up another time.]

Of course you wouldn't have. [An amused chuckle slips through.] I confess: I am not Mami Tomoe. I've been switched into her body. In my unsuccessful attempts to find her on foot, I decided to make a small scene to draw her to my location. There was no harm intended in my actions and I apologize for my lacking shot. I'm usually much better.

You could have just asked on the phones, making a display isn't necessary at all. You still haven't answered my question either, only told me something I already knew.

The phones are only useful if the person is in the house. Is it hard to believe that I came to a logical conclusion that Mami Tomoe would search for her body as well, not wait inside a house for a call that may not come? I'm only drawing her here.

[Oh? He didn't even think she would realize he didn't answer it. A sharp person, whoever she may be.] As for your other question, you may call me Doc Scratch.

It still takes less effort. A quick call to check before leaving the house would have nevertheless heightened your chances of getting in touch with her, even if that didn't happen. Not in a hurry, are you?

[her demeanor stayed composed and stern, but a flash or recognition and mild surprise does cross her expression at that. Where did she hear this before...]

Doc Scratch. You're acquainted with Spades Slick?

Not in a hurry at all. Mayfield will eventually bring us back to the way we were. Besides, I admittedly wanted to test out what that gem could do when I felt a strong connection to this body and it. [Of course he means the soul gem, pointing to the pin on the hat.]

[...Oh...Slick. He chuckles a little.]

We were business partners for a brief time, you can say. Before that, in rival gangs. He doesn't like me very much at all - it doesn't help that lives in the same house as Ms. Tomoe either. I had to leave before he possibly figured out who I was. Either that or have Ms. Tomoe's skull cracked by a blunt object.

That's true, so you admit it as much. You like word games, don't you? [just saiyan...]

He hasn't ever mentioned you in a positive light, no. I suppose it does make things easier for all of us, I would need to confront him also if he did end up doing something to Tomoe-san's body. [sideway glance and looking vaguely annoyed... ugh today is so trippy, it had its funny moments but now it's just increasingly more troublesome...]

[He smirks a little. It feels nice to not have to worry about someone finding out it's really him. At least someone is perceptive enough to realize it's not Mami.]

Oh, yes, certainly. Spades Slick is a "stab first, ask later" sort of fellow. Smarter than one would think of him as well. You have nothing to worry about, in regards to Ms. Tomoe either. My body is well equipped to deal with any threats. Even an ambush would be easy to foresee if it came to that, thanks to the omniscience my body is normally granted among other things. Slick won't be able to hurt her, if he sees her around.

Please. You sound like a disturbing clown. [Doesn't help with Mami's voice, either... Going to stay cool though! She's good at this, at least.]

It's fine if your body is durable, but despite her abilities, Tomoe-san is still a human girl. I'm only concerned with the body that you're using now.

You're not the only one to come by and voice concerns. It looks like Mami Tomoe has many friends who care about her. But, they don't seem to be very shocked when I tell them that they are worrying too much. I wonder what that says about her. This girl...she's human, but there is something very different about her body related to this gem that lets me transform. I only haven't figured it out exactly yet.

Ciesther's expression is as sober as ever. Oh, SHE knows what it is, she'd felt it from the start. But like she'd tell a suspicious individual like him...] Does it matter? You'll likely be returned to your rightful body tomorrow, one way or another.

You're very good at this. I think I like you already. [His smile twitches up a little and he nods.] You would be right. I'm a different form of alien life to humans. I doubt you would know my, quote on quote, species, so there's no need to elaborate.

[He shrugs his shoulders a little.] Who knows? Maybe tomorrow. Maybe the next week. It's good to keep backup plans in case of emergencies.

I wouldn't have asked. Especially given your current state, any attempts are likelier to create more unnecessary confusion than anything else.

[it is very flattering, mami has an adorable smile. scratch should know he only spent ten minutes making faces in a mirror this morning. But at her question, Doc Scratch becomes somber and his demeanor easily shifts from playful to serious.]

If it persists for more than a day, then I would need to keep within close quarters of Mami Tomoe for the duration. You must understand that my body is connected to a dangerous source of energy. A source governed by emotion. Mami Tomoe could be in danger with a body like mine, unless she dulls her emotions.

Oh but that was pretty obvious, and it's not even taking in account of how well Ciel knows Mami.]

So it is that serious. Tomoe-san is quite good at keeping her emotions in check, actually, but if anything too unexpected happens, she could lose complete control. Isn't that more reason to stop playing around and try to find her with a more effective method? With her abilities, making a quick round of the town should be very easy.
