[Rapunzel has been uncharacteristically quiet since the Carnival. It was... A big growth experience for her, and it forced her to see Mayfield's true nature. A lot changed, and yet... Nothing did. She's still stuck here, and she's finally coming around to decide she'll make the most of it, and do the best she can to help people. She really is a resilient lady.

What she finds in the mail that morning helps. First her guitar, which gets a smile, and then... Something that makes her shriek in delight.

Deja vu. Yep, Pascal is back.]

[B: Action; Morning to Dusk; John Doe Park]

[Rapunzel can be found in the park for the rest of the day, playing old, whimsical tunes on her guitar for herself and Pascal and anyone else who cares to listen.]

[C: Phone; Evening]

Hi, it's Rapunzel. I haven't really used this much since-- Well, how is everyone?

"Oh it's a... one of those lizard things from Lajuria... a, uh, what's it called."

[Cade snaps his fingers.]

"A camaro!"

A chameleon, actually.

"Right! What did I say?

...and does he always look that angry?"

[hairflyingheartpounding]

I'm not sure, but it was probably closer than frog.

...Oh! Well... He doesn't take well to new people.

"Aww... hey guy! You been looking after Rapunzel for me?"

[hairflyingheartpounding]

[Rapunzel scoops up Pascal and sets to more untangling.]

He says it's the other way around.

[Cade chuckles at that.]

"Fair enough, fair enough. I'm assuming he's from your world?"

[hairflyingheartpounding]

Yup! My best friend.

[adventurerextraordinaire]

"Oh? Well I better get in his good graces, then!"

[Cade holds out a hand gently as if ready to shake the tiny thing's hand/paw.]

[hairflyingheartpounding]

[...And Pascal turns away. Rapunzel sighs.]

He can be stubborn. I'm sorry.

[adventurerextraordinaire]

[Cade brushes it off.]

"Its okay, he's probably just protective of ya."

[hairflyingheartpounding]

He definitely is. You should have seen him when we met Eug-- Flynn.

[She still feel the needs to protect Eugene's name, even in a world where he's not present. She told him she wouldn't tell, after all.]

"Ewjflyn? They have some odd names in your world!"

[It's a good thing Cade is kind of a ditz.]

Um... Okay, yes.

Anyway, Pascal really didn't like him.

[adventurerextraordinaire]

"Oh yeah, what was he like?"

[hairflyingheartpounding]

Well, he seemed very difficult at first. And selfish. But he turned out to be fun, and very kind. He's a good friend.

[adventurerextraordinaire]

"Awww... you must miss him."

[Cade's voice is sympathetic, and he puts a hand on Rapunzel's shoulder.]

[hairflyingheartpounding]

I do, but... I'm glad he's not here. For his sake, you know?

[adventurerextraordinaire]

"Yes, I know exactly. I'm very glad Vadim and Mel aren't here. As much as I'd like their company, I don't think I could take seeing them walking around as drones."

[hairflyingheartpounding]

I'm so sorry about the drones, Cade. I wish I could help.

[adventurerextraordinaire]

"You just don't go getting droned on me too, if ya can, okay?"

[Cade gets a bit emotional again and hugs Rapunzel tight.]

[hairflyingheartpounding]

[She returns the hug.]

I'll do my best.

[adventurerextraordinaire]

"Thanks, lass."

[Since Rapunzel is shorter than the rather tall Cade, he gives her a sweet little kiss on top of her head and rubs her back.]
