.005 Resolutions

[A: Phone (Open to All)]

[It's pretty late at night and Al is at the end of his rope. Ed has been avoiding him, he utterly failed to protect anyone he cared about when the town went to hell, and he was once more trapped in this stupid armour body. His voice is high pitched in a mix of distress and determination, coming all in a rush down the phones.]

I've had enough!

I'm not going to let this town hurt anyone I care about any more, and I'm not going to let anyone else get hurt. I know... I know I can't protect everybody, but I can help teach people who don't know how to protect themselves.

So... come to the park in the morning if you want to learn, and together we can help make sure that we can give this place a really good fight!

[B: Park (Open to All)]

[Sure enough, mid morning finds one Alphonse Elric in the park, ready to teach anyone who shows up. He knows a lot of people here are competent already, and that some wouldn't want his lessons. But if he can help even one person get better at defending themselves, then he's done a good job.]

[C: 1649 Albright Lane (Locked to Ed)]

[He has had more than enough of Ed avoiding him. He knew from others what had happened to Brother during the carnival, and he is furious that Ed hadn't come to find him as soon as it was all over. He has been around himself a few times since, but he always seems to mysteriously miss his big brother.

Not today.

He's hammering on the door loudly, big metal fist making a furious pounding that shakes the door.]

BROTHER! BROTHER, OPEN THE DOOR!

More like polish what skills I have, but yeah.

[He gets himself in a ready stance, fists raised in front of him.]

Okay then! Lets go!

[tsunmuse]

[Now Ako might not be the biggest of opponents, or even the fastest when she was untransformed, but she was fast. Thanking her stars for long ingrained movements, she shot forward, throwing a couple of punches followed by a high kick to his elbow area.]

[Hand to hand is what Al specialised in, though he's not got any superhuman abilities to boast. He lowers his arm to block the punches, attempting to jump over her head and punch her from behind.]

[Throwing herself into a roll, she came up and flipped back up to avoid it, and using her much smaller stature to her advantage. Springing into the air, she brought down her foot in a flying kick towards his shoulder.]

[He lets it hit, he's made of metal and it's not like she can do any damage to him. Attempting to grab that ankle as her foot makes contact.]

[Yeah she's totally grabbed, and she braces herself for whatever's coming next. Alphonse was pretty good.]

[He's flipping her down towards the ground, attempting to pin her there and thus win the fight.]

Oof! [Well that was to be expected. Glad she tried this in normal form and not Precure form. Or she might have knocked him to the ground.]

Nice.

[He lets her back up again, laughing.]

Thanks, you're pretty good!

It was a fair fight too. I'm fit for a ten year old but in my Precure form I could have thrown you across town if I wanted to.

I guess I'm pretty lucky you weren't then, huh?

For the most part. You're good though.

Thanks! I've been practising for a long time, and I had a really good Teacher.

Mmm. I'm self taught. Though I use my smaller body for quicker movement.

[snacklist]

Size doesn't really matter in fighting, it's what you do with your body that counts.

[tsunmuse]

Mmm. Sounds like you've been fighting for a while then.

[snacklist]

Mm.

Even if it's better not to fight, I think it's still useful to know how to defend yourself just in case.

[tsunmuse]

Mmm. Can't really stand by and watch people get hurt though.

[snacklist]

Of course not, that's one of the reasons you learn to fight.

Yep pretty much. Do you have anyone you're fighting for?

[snacklist]

Mm.

Brother and Winry, and all the friends we've made along the road too.

[tsunmuse]

Good to know. Fighting for a reason is always a good plan.

[snacklist]

I think everyone fights for a reason, even if that reason is just their own survival.

[tsunmuse]

Yeah, I think so.
