[Loosha has been in a bit of a down mood ever since the carnival began. First, her friends were gone and she was lonely. Then, Luke came back with half his hand missing and a really sullen attitude that she just can't seem to shake him out of. Of course, she hasn't tried everything yet. And so that's what she's setting out to do: Try Everything.

Of course, she doesn't know everything that can make humans happy, so she's trundled out into town to do some people-watching. She figures there's no harm in doing so since everyone already saw her at that party. It's research!

So, what are you up to, Mayfield? Whatever it may be, this stories-tall dinosaur-manatee-seal-walrus-thing is very curious and is not being subtle about it.]

[Well Sora was in his room, when he see's a giant green monster coming by his window. His eyes widen, not from fright but excitement. What could this be? He sticks his head out the window looking at the creature.]

Hey there! What are you doing wandering around?

[Not just coming by - looking in! This street's kind of dead so she wanted to see if there was anything going on in the houses. She backs up to give Sora room to stick his head out, though. He is now face-to-face with Loosha.]

[she replies, then sticks her neck out and squints at him, then looks in the other window, then looks back.

People watching. Or maybe spying]

[He looks at the creature, with an intrigued smile. But she doesn't look very happy for some reason.

When they're face to face he tilts his head.]

You okay there fella?

Yes, what is it?

[Susan is in the park reading a book. She hardly glances up.]

Psheeew.

[An embarrassed noise. Loosha didn't expect to see Susan out here, so she was probably even less subtle than usual. But, she did ask. Loosha tilts her head thoughtfully, and then waddles around the bench to get in front of her and put her face level with Susan's book.

Which is a really deep bow, but she's investigating. What's this doing for you, Susan? She recalls her friends having books from time to time, but they were never really the focus of their visits for obvious reasons.]

[Susan does not appear pleased to be reading giant manatee head in the place of the words on the page.]

...I'm afraid I'll have to ask you to pantomime. I don't suppose you know how to read?

[Kaylee is out in the driveway, tinkering with the car... again]

[Hello! Loosha hopes she's not disturbing you. But what are you doing with that thing... there aren't a lot of cars in Misthallery since people tend to take the boat-and-canal routes, so Loosha isn't terribly familiar with them except for what she's seen of them here in Mayfield.

She'll kind of poke the side with her flipper. Gently, though. Kaylee seems to be having fun so she doesn't want to ruin it.]

The Lake

[And speaking of Luke, later on in the day he'll be appearing at the lake. While it's not really known if he showed up because of Loosha or just because he wants some sort of peacefulness in his life, there's very few reasons for him to visit the lake other then to visit Loosha.

He'll sit on the edge of the lake, hands cupping his face as he gazes out into the lake.]

[It's been a busy day for Loosha, but she couldn't be happier to see Luke visiting her. When she sees him, she surfaces and comes close]

[Czeslaw was on his way back from the library (sorely disappointed; for some reason, he could only find children's fiction and books filled with comics. In the end he gave up, went to shop for the groceries his drone mother had asked for before he went out. He was even allowed to get some treats from the bakery!

He's surprised (very surprised) to see this big thing watching him though.]

[But it's definitely breathing, isn't it? Oh god.]

[huff puff, huff puff. Definitely breathing. Definitely watching. Czeslaw appears to be around Luke's age after all, SO obviously, he's the best person to pay attention to!

And hey, he's got baked treats, like the ones that were at the party. Those things must be popular. Loosha decides to waddle closer to the bakery.]

Hey... where are you going? Are you hungry? [A little alarmed, he trots after the dinosaur thing. He doesn't want to know if it might crush the bakery in its attempt to get food.]

[ Yukko is pressed up as far against a nearby wall as possible. She's not sure what to do. It's not attacking her it's just... waddling down the street. Maybe it hasn't noticed her yet... ]

except Loosha is really not looking for a fight at all. So when she sees a girl pressed way up against the wall, she wonders if maybe she's taking up too much room in the street?? humans, idek.

So she's just gonna scoot over to the other side. Is that better?]

[ Yukko is surprised. Why is this whale moving to the other side of the street? She doesn't understand, but Yukko manages to loosen up and push away from the wall. ]

[The moment before Clover saw a giant dinosaur-walrus-thing staring at her, she was pondering whether to throw a rock at a nearby flock of birds or not. Sure, they're just drones, but it feels wrong, you know?

Then, the moment after that, she's just staring back and pondering if she should run away or try to get a picture first, because holy shit is that Nessie?]

[totally get a camera gurl, you're gonna be so rich. ... Although, maybe not. Who would you even send the pictures to?

Loosha doesn't want to disturb the birds, so she stays put. She does see you there, though.]

Anyway, with all the animals around town that chat people up like normal and the odd animal who is actually a person somehow, Clover doesn't bother to pretend she doesn't understand.]

[Hello fellow aquatic creature. Old Gregg isn't particularly intimidated by you as he walks over to you. He just looks at Loosha for a moment by nodding.]

They all took you from your nice home like they did with Old Gregg didn't they?

[Loosha regards Old Gregg with curiosity. You are some kind of amphibious human! That's kind of neat. Although he appears to be trying to commiserate with her. She tilts her head.]

[She drawls in a way that's oddly casual. Yeah, they sorta did. It's inconvenient in ways, but not that big a deal. She couldn't really go back home if she wanted to.]
