That's not precisely how I expected to wake up yesterday, but all things considered, it could be worse.

Well then, introductions, I suppose. Best as I can manage, at least. My name is Remus, and I assure you that I am a completely uninteresting human being. So uninteresting, I can't rightly think how to introduce myself, apparently.

I'm still-- still trying to work everything out here, so if someone would be so kind as to entertain a few questions? I realize we're all relatively in the dark here, but...

It seems I am not the only new captive either. I do not know much about this town either but I am willing to attempt to help at answering if I already know the answer to a question.

I know we are in a place called Mayfield in the 1950's somewhere. I was also told that whatever abilities or items we had in our possession have been taken from us. But, apparently the town feels the desire to give them back to us. A curious thing indeed.

It appears that there are some here who have been here longer than others. I am assuming we are the new group of captives to this place.

Apparently though, if we do something rashly there is a possibility of becoming a doll, or what is usually called a drone.

There were some people hurt very recently, and now they're walking around as if nothing had happened.

[Remus can think of half a dozen ways, just off the top of his head, for a fatally-injured person to carry on wandering the world. Most of them involve potions, but that was probably only because he was--
