44 Δ Father's Day

[Action A (June 16): 769 Bunker Street]

[ It's the night before Father's Day and Rin's an experience Mayfield citizen. Since Mother's Day was a repeat of the year before, then that means Father's Day will follow suit. This time it was different though as her own father was actually a prisoner of this town with her. Neglecting this wouldn't do for her, so she's careful to sneak the gift inside of the house with as little noise as possible. It's labeled to Tokiomi, but there's always the chance that someone else in the house would see it. Inside the bag are two bottles of well aged wine that the girl swiped from the confines of the tavern especially for him.

Why two bottles?

One's tied with a purple ribbon and the other with a red ribbon. The card doesn't say who it's from, but she suspects her father can figure it out well enough on his own. Should she be intercepted in the house though, she won't hear anyone calling out or sneaking up to her... She's not doing this out of a lack of trust for her father, but it would be irresponsible of her as a magus to run the risk of allowing someone who knows they're compatible for her crest to ask for it back. ]

[Home (MORNING): 310 Miller Street]

[ It's early morning. So early that it's borderline OOC for her to be up, but here she is, not acknowledging anyone around her. In the kitchen, she's either calmly sipping tea or preparing a backpack full of food to last an entire day (as well as any other guests she might run into). Go on and try to call out to her: she won't hear it at all. Provoking her might not be a good idea. ]

[Action B (ALL DAY): Throughout Town]

[ She remembers last year all too well. With the memory of that and Archer's recent droning, she's not in the mood to talk to anyone. Those who are capable of hunting her down through their various methods are free to find her in any of her usual hiding places, but she's not sitting out in the open. That's too much of a risk with anything that might be going on today. Her earplugs are in tight in her ears, hidden underneath a full head of hair, but she'll pull them out if she recognizes any of her gal pals.

Boys are free to pester her, but they might end up feeling sick for a good week after. Rin doesn't play around when it comes to being told what to do. ]

[Oblivious as ever, one cheerful Servant would be materializing next to her.]

What're you doing?

[ Ignoring him while sipping on tea from a plastic thermos.
Thanks to an awesome invention called earplugs. ]

...Oh, come on, what did I do this time?!

[gandere]

[ Just going to smile as she sips her tea.
And not acknowledge his presence one bit. ]

Mmm. So good. Not as good as Archer's, but it'll do.

[riastrad_ridire]

Rin. Come on, knock it off and pay attention to me.

[SOB WHAT DID HE DO NOW....]

[gandere]

[ In all honesty, she's yet to notice him. Guess she's so used to Lancer's spiritual link that it makes it difficult for her to determine when he's close or when he's far. ]

That idiot. [ Sigh. ] He had to leave before today.

[ Placing the cup down, she'll pull out her necklace to hold in the palm of her hand, staring at it. At least now she's not talking to herself! ]

[riastrad_ridire]

[You know what? FINE. He'll just stand here and eavesdrop in plain sight. Your own fault, Rin.]

[gandere]

[ She's just protecting herself from stupid men who might ask her to do things like take off her socks. We can't allow that to happen, now can we?

Eavesdrop all he wants, she's not speaking another word. Instead, she's just going to hold onto her legs and rest her eyes in her knees. She hasn't been this devastated since mana dolphins, bro. ]

[He still can't believe you left the stockings on.]

[When Rin reaches Makeout Point, she'll probably see Yuna up there looking out over the vista. She's curled up in place a little, arms wrapped around her legs as she rests her head on her knees. It's the deep thoughtful expression of a girl who misses her daddy on Father's Day.

At any rate, she won't notice Rin's approach right away.]

[ When she's certain that there's no boys present, she'll plop down right next to Yuna seemingly out of nowhere. Reaching up to her ears, she'll yank out the plugs while crossing one leg over the other. ]

[drank_the_milk]

[She's so deep into it that she doesn't even notice anyone is there until Rin speaks. Momentarily startled out of her thoughts, Yuna quickly plasters on a small smile, but it's clear that she's in a pretty rueful mood.]

Oh, hey Rin.

[gandere]

[ It's time for Rin to do what she does best:
Make a disaster out of things. ]

Don't tell me you were thinking about a boy or something. They're trouble, you know. Big trouble.

[drank_the_milk]

A boy? Nah, not me. That would be a betrayal of the worst kind!

[Yuna does laugh a little bit at the thought, so that's something. And besides, she's got a crush on a female singing robot anyway, so no boy troubles here.]

[gandere]

Good. Because if there was a boy involved... [ See icon. ] You shouldn't think too much on things here though. If your mind is flooded with various thoughts other than your studies, you'll never get good at them.

[drank_the_milk]

Yeah, I know. Mother's Day and Father's Day are always just kind of rough on me, that's all.

[gandere]

Aren't you used to it by now? [ There was last year, so she had expected better. ] They are just days after all.

[drank_the_milk]

Yeah, I guess, but it still gets pretty lonely thinking about it.

[There are very few secluded places in town besides the "safety" of one's own home. And when said home was occupied by a drone of a person that Bazett had known, it is, of course, very awkward. Having her mind messed with to obey the order of any men who came upon her was, of course, even worse.]

[As a result, she is trying to find a secluded location. What really surprises her is that someone has already occupied the location. Someone that she did not expect to see.]

Tohsaka? What are you doing here? Your father is already in this town, you know.

[gandere]

[ It sucks not being able to hear because she doesn't notice Bazett nor does she hear the woman when she shows up. Rin's not going to be taken down by being asked to do a favor for some other guy. Earplugs make it all too easy to nap as well, so she's half-dozing off by time Bazett approaches. ]

[answerer_sword]

[Fortunately or unfortunately, Bazett is not in a conversing mood. The initial burst of emotion had already burned itself out.]

[She just walks over and sits down close to where Rin is sitting. She will just wait for the girl to get bored and leave on her own volition.]

[gandere]

[ Unfortunately, Rin doesn't fail at spot checks, so she'll look over at her with a frown. ]

What are you doing here?

[ Her voice is a bit higher, but she's making no movement to remove earplugs. In fact, it might be difficult to tell she's wearing them. ]

[answerer_sword]

I wanted to be alone. Is that not allowed? Or do you believe that I am invading your space? If so, I will leave.

[Her voice is rather quiet because she did not notice the earphones.]

[ Shana just follows rin silently, seemingly entirely cold and hard-edged herself today, despite that day it is. ]

[ It doesn't take her long to notice the other source of magical power near her as she pauses to look over her shoulder. ]
