A. Ai is ...a little nervous, standing outside Sluggers house. Knocks on the door. She can actually remember not to randomly appear in peoples houses. ...sometimes.

B. In the park, by the fountain, making a paper boat armada. One of them seems to be on fire as it sails the seas of the fountain.

C. Sitting on the grass in the park. A black cat is sleeping next to her and she's throwing  a ball for a dog to retrieve.]

[There's nothing out there but a few errant red spider lilies. Closing the door, Slugger turns to her and soon forgets about the Major and his spies.]

Hi. [He takes a shy step closer to kiss her cheek.]

[She smiles slightly as he does so. And when he leans back she'll get on with one of the reasons she's here. the other, just to visit.]

....Can I ask you something?

[Slugger wipes the stupid look off his face as he re-adjusts his cap.]

[Slight pause because how do I be human.]

....will you go to the prom with me?

[Silent, he stares at her all of three seconds before the stupid smile returns tenfold to his face. Really, it should be no surprise since he figured they would go together anyway, but to hear her ask like that... it's just... she's so cute he doesn't know how to handle it.]

Of course. Who else would I go with?

[And yeah, true enough. But she still felt like she should ask. She smiles though.]

[He begins to move away from the door and farther into the house, lightly tagging her hand to follow.]

Will Scout and Wanyudo be there?

[Though he's a bit unsure about what kind of reaction to expect from the old overprotective yokai.] Do you think he'd hate me?

[He nods. As long as Wanyudo doesn't want to kill him, they're good.]

Did you bring your marbles?

[She nods and pulls the bag out.]

[Slugger kneels on the floor beside a sofa. On top of the sofa, Slugger's excessively furry cat awakens and sits up to watch.]

[Looks over at the cat and pats it, before turning back to get the marbles out.]

How are things going here?

[With that Major and all that drama.]

Nothing's happened yet. He must be in no hurry. [He mutters as he helps set up the marbles in a circle.]

Perhaps he wants you to be afraid.

[She'll draw the circle around them.]

Yeah. Probably.

[Taking up a marble, he spins it between his thumb and finger.] I want it to be over.

[She nods.]

What does he want?

To defeat my mom. But it's Edward he's been fighting with. I don't know.

[Slugger flicks a marble toward the others in the circle.]

He just wants a war.

[shallbeavenged]

He should fight the town then.

[Watches the marble.]

[strike_you_out]

[It misses and rolls out of the circle. Maru, suddenly very awake, jumps down to chase after it.]

He probably wants everyone in the town to fight. [a sigh] I don't think he can hurt my mom again, but if he finds a way...

.....if he does. He will pay.

[Susan is very important to Slugger, therefore if something happens to her, hell fire is always an option.]

[Uh-oh, no no no. Slugger shakes his head.] Don't draw his attention to yourself, Ai.

...But thanks. [His hand finds hers and rests upon it and he smiles just a bit. Maru is still batting the marble around the room, eventually making his way back around to where Slugger and Ai are sitting.]
