event: break-in
[Anyone who drops by the dairy between the hours of three PM and five PM on Tuesday will find that the door's been unlocked. Even though the door's shut, there's a strange humming sound coming from inside the building.
Careful if you want to try to peek inside, though. You may not like what you find.]

January 24th. Shortly after 3 PM. Not much of the Dairy's interior appears to have been altered since this past March, nor do there appear to be any signs of Officer Jack Smith or any additional law enforcement. For now, anyway.
The interior is dank. Cold. Quiet. With the exception of a low hum emanating from somewhere within. [He allows a pause, to allow some of the Dairy's ambient noise to be recorded.] And if my suspicions are correct...

The sign's new. [He wrinkles his nose.] Do Not Touch, hmm? [He snorts, before taking his cane in hand and nearing the machine.] That's sure to work.
[Lightly, experimentally, he'll place the tail end of his cane against the machine's exterior.]

Good afternoon, Mr. Nigma.

Ms. Shirogane. [And the cane's lowered to his side, his voice recorder sliding back into his breast pocket.] You startled me.

Is the tip of your cane still intact? [She nods towards the object in question. Nothing appeared to have happened, but one can easily miss small, important details. Maybe the machine was hot enough to mar the surface of the cane...?]
