[There is screaming coming from the master bedroom shortly after dawn. Frantic, incoherent type screaming, apparently by a distressed male.]

Ah! Ah! What's going on? Ahh!

[Yeah, sorry housemates, you might want to check on that.]

B: around town

[Wheatley was supposed to be in space, he knew that much. In space and a core, which certainly not the form he was currently in. He had a body and limbs and hair and, apparently, horrible vision without corrective eyewear. As far as he can tell, he's human. And his housemates make things only minimally better, so he's gone wandering.]

[Chell didn't have a chance to react before Wheatley grabbed her. She tensed up immediately, unsure of what he was doing. They didn't leave on good terms, for all she knew, he wanted revenge for her sending him into space.

However, she quickly realizes that he doesn't mean her any harm and is simply hugging her.

Chell cannot remember the last time she was hugged or even any other type of human contact aside from maybe a handshake. She's not sure how to react or even if she wants to, considering who is giving her the hug.

However, he's already greeted her far more excitedly than GLaDOS did. But, here in Mayfield, Chell and GLaDOS have something of an alliance. GLaDOS has not made any attempt on Chell's life here, so Chell is civil to her.]

[Thankfully, Wheatley has very little idea how hugs actually work, so just clinging to an unresponsive test subject for a moment before pulling back to hold her at arm's length seems absolutely perfect.]

I have no idea what's going on, but am I ever glad to see you. You're not dead!

At least, I don't think you are.

[Chell blinks and then shakes her head. As far as she knows, she's not dead. And so far, she hasn't died here in Mayfield.

She's surprised that he's happy to see her, he seems like he genuinely means it. Even after all they've been through, he's cheerful towards her.

However, he could just be glad to see a familiar face and want her help in trying to escape. Again.]

Good. [He's glad, genuinely, and although it immediately occurs to him that now's his chance, that moment to apologize he's been waiting for, his mouth has other options and worries, of course, about that small fact that it is a mouth.]

Next important thing! Do you have any idea what's going on here?

[Chell thinks for a moment, then gives Wheatley something somewhere between a shrug and a nod. She's been told some about the town, but there's still a lot of holes, especially the why.

And then there's the little matter of her not speaking to him.]

Okay, great! Let's do a little bit of charades, then. Why am I in this body?

[Chell tilts her head and shrugs, frowning as she does so. She has no clue why robots such as him and GLaDOS are turned into humans, it's baffling, to be honest.]

[She doesn't hesitate to shake her head back and forth. Chell'd like to know what they were doing here, but answers are hard to find.]

[Chell shakes her head again. She has no clue why she's here or even how she arrived in the town. And according to some of the others, she was here before, but Chell had no memories of it.]
