[Action]
[Firo's leaving 1246 Williams Road late in the morning when he spots his regain. Outwardly, the car's nothing too remarkable. Except that the sides are badly scratched and the windshield is mostly broken. The thing's definitely been through the wringer.]
What the-? This thing..?
[It's not even his, unless... The sudden presence of the car has Firo a little unnerved. He knows he's seen this before, and he's pretty sure it's Szilard's. That brings up a question: why did he regain it?]
The hell is goin' on here..?
[He growls and marches to the vehicle. Though this is worrying him- he's been trying to just forget about Szilard- he's going to do his best not to show it.
After a few moments of slowly circling the car, he attempts to push it into the street. It stays stubbornly in place. Passers-by might see Firo glaring resentfully at the car before kicking it in the tire. He'll be alternating between attempting to move it and anxiously examining it.
He's not Szilard, Mayfield's must just be trying to mess with him.]
[Phone]
[A little later in the day, Firo picks up the phone. Trying to sound casual, he asks:]
Hey, have any of you ever gotten somethin' from Mayfield that's... not exactly yours?

[action]
It is not my-!
[And then he turns around and comes too his senses just a little too late.]
...Oh.
Re: [action]
I'm sorry....
[She can see the scratches and the damage on the car, but if it's not his why does he care? Maybe it belongs to a friend....]
Umm... who's car is it?
[action]
Ah- No, no, no, I'm sorry!
[Looking a little embarrassed, he glances over his shoulder at the car.]
It's from some jerk back home, I think. Not sure why I got it, but here it is.
Re: [action]
[She's been in Mayfield for a long time. She knows how this works.]
It doesn't have to be something that belongs to you. Just something you had. Did you ever borrow it from him? Or maybe steal it? That counts too.
[action]
I didn't steal it. My friends did. That's how it got all messed up.
Re: [action]
[She leaves her bike on the lawn and moves in for a closer looks at the car.]
Unless maybe it belongs to you but you didn't know it.... Or maybe it will belong to you someday! I knew somebody who got back something like that once!
[action]
Come to think of it, I'm not really sure what my friends did with it after they stole it...
[He gestures to the scraps of glass that are all that's left of the windshield, laughing a little.]
It would be just like Isaac and Miria to think that somebody'd want to drive this.
Re: [action]
It sure is a funny looking car though. And it really got beat up. Are your friends bad drivers?
Re: [action]
[It's unlikely, but Firo'd rather believe that than the idea that he could be becoming like Szilard.]
I think it's a stretch to call 'em drivers at all. They tried to drive the thing through an alleyway.
Re: [action]
Isn't it too big for that? Your friends are silly!
[action]
It's way too big! I'm kinda surprised the thing could actually move once they wedged it in there. Silly's a good word for 'em.

Re: [action]
And friends are important. I'd look for my friends if I couldn't find them.
[action]
[He smiles and nods.]
The most important, right? Their friend was in trouble this time, so that's why they were in such a hurry.
Re: [action]
[So excite.]
Why was their friend in trouble?
Re: [action]
[And since they're already on the topic- and Firo doesn't want to think of his history with Szilard- Firo decides to tell Ennis's story this time. At least as much of it as he knows. He only personally saw a small bit of it, but he can fill in the blanks. Maybe even make it a little lighter.]
Well, to start off, they'd met their friend earlier that day, when she saved 'em from a small gang of hoodlums. Somehow, though, the guys escaped and Isaac and Miria- the people who stole the car- thought they'd go after her.
Re: [action]
[action]
[He smiles proudly before continuing.]
Their friend also had another problem- her evil boss. As the hoodlums went lookin' for her, he ordered her to watch the back door of his enemy's hideout. See, he'd gone lookin' for the guy and wanted to kill him.
Re: [action]
Why did he want to kill him? Were they fighting over something?
[Mindy is just full of questions...]
[action]
[The Martillo hideout isn't exactly secret, but it makes the story sound cool, so Firo will go with that.]
Yeah, you could say that. The guy knew stuff that the evil guy wanted to know.
Re: [action]
[That sounds weird, and she looks like she's about to ask about it, when suddenly her attention is drawn to an area slightly to Firo's left.
Where one of her ghostly friends is laughing.
Nah, kid, he don't mean a family like that. He means a crime family. 'Member all those stories I told you about the mafia?]
Mafia...?
[And her eyes grow wide and she stares back at Firo.]
Your friend was in the mob?!?
[action]
Normally people don't go jumpin' to conclusions like that so soon... But yeah, he is. Only our family's a Camorra family.
Re: [action]
[Her eyes flicker slightly between Firo and the ghost.]
What's a Camorra?
Re: [action]
That was a good guess.
[He looks at her expectantly, wondering if she'll say how she guessed or if she'll ask more questions. He's not too suspicious: maybe it was just a lucky guess, maybe she has some sort of tie to the mob. The former seems more likely to him.]
