[Firo's leaving 1246 Williams Road late in the morning when he spots his regain. Outwardly, the car's nothing too remarkable. Except that the sides are badly scratched and the windshield is mostly broken. The thing's definitely been through the wringer.]

What the-? This thing..?

[It's not even his, unless... The sudden presence of the car has Firo a little unnerved. He knows he's seen this before, and he's pretty sure it's Szilard's. That brings up a question: why did he regain it?]

The hell is goin' on here..?

[He growls and marches to the vehicle. Though this is worrying him- he's been trying to just forget about Szilard- he's going to do his best not to show it.

After a few moments of slowly circling the car, he attempts to push it into the street. It stays stubbornly in place. Passers-by might see Firo glaring resentfully at the car before kicking it in the tire. He'll be alternating between attempting to move it and anxiously examining it.

He's not Szilard, Mayfield's must just be trying to mess with him.]

[A little later in the day, Firo picks up the phone. Trying to sound casual, he asks:]

Hey, have any of you ever gotten somethin' from Mayfield that's... not exactly yours?

[She pauses for a second.]

Did you get something like that?

Yeah, just now. It's definitely not mine.

[His voice doesn't hold the same conviction as his words, though.]

...Well, I'm pretty sure.

I have been wondering the same thing myself... I really liked Mikale-san's bank account... I wonder if I could get that...

[Wait a second, did he hear that correctly? Firo laughs, momentarily forgetting his troubles.]

Wait, you're tryin' to rob somebody from back home?

Wh-what? N-no no no um! I-It's!!! [ Caught. No sense hiding it. He totally heard... ] It wouldn't be 'stealing'... It'd be a 'present' from Mayfield.

[He laughs.]

I never said you were a terrible person. Nothin' wrong with bein' smart about how you get your money.

W-Well, Mikky-- Mikale-san-- is a friend, so... I see. I didn't really think of it that way. I try not to think about those things much.

[That sounds a lot like what he didn't want to hear. There's a pause, and his voice is more cautious when he speaks.]

Stealing would be so like me... so I try not to think about it... But yeah, um. I haven't regained anything that I don't actually own, but I'd be interested to know if it's possible.

[He stops, realizing he'll probably never wrap his head around it even if she does explain it.]

If ya don't wanna get into it, that's fine. It does sound kinda complicated.

[There's a pause on the other side, before she continues on.]

I used to think I was this normal girl, but it turns out that before I lost my memories, I used to be a superheroine who turned bad. I started getting these weird things in the mail since I've been here; most of it seems to belong to her. And then some other person from my world said that I was her.

I think he's right too.

[Sorry, kid, but that first part is weird enough that he can't let it go. He doesn't sound amused anymore, though.]

[Firo's silent for nearly a minute after hearing all that. He's not sure what to make of it. It sounds terrible for her, and the implications seem to give him more cause to worry about Szilard.]

That's crazy...

What makes ya think he's right? Maybe it's a mistake.
