[ Fran is just making her way out of the hectic cafeteria. All of her books and notes are packed neatly inside her backpack. But what she doesn't realize is the big red stain on her shirt. Or maybe she does? Whatever it is, it's awfully noticeable and looks a lot like blood.

And oops! Did she just bump into you with her stained shirt accidentally? Hope you have really quick reflexes. ]

[ Action; The Pet Shop - Afternoon/Early Evening {Open to All} ]

[ Rabbits or cats... Rabbits or cats...

Fran is in deep thought looking at a cage of rabbits. She keeps bombarding the shopkeeper with questions about their weight, what injections did they take, kind of diet do they have. Real pointless stuff if you just want a bun-bun hopping around your little abode. ]

Maybe some rabbits would be a good start...

[ Action; 1671 Nelson - Late Night {Housemates} ]

[ There is no rest for Fran tonight. The light in her room is dim so that she doesn't bother her other housemates but the door is ajar. She is too engrossed in...whatever she's doing. Notebooks and papers all over the place. All sorts of wires coming from god knows what.

It's a mess. ]

Rodents are docile creatures for the most part. When they are so low at the food-chain, it's difficult to interact with other land mammals.

[ One of nature's sad realities. ]

Have you seen the guinea pigs?

"Guinea pigs?" ...He has not.

[ She points to the next cage over towards a group of furry rodents that have a similar resemblance to rabbits. ]

"...If they are called pigs, why is it that they resemble them in almost no way whatsoever."

That's just the name they were given. They're completely different from their given name but just as quiet as rabbits are.

"So I see." He picks one up, staring at it a moment.

...It, predictably, stares back while making little 'nn' sounds.

"...They're quite soft."

Astral's observations become more profound by the second.

[ She also takes part and picks one of the guinea pigs up, feeling the weight under her slender hand. ]

I take it that there are not a lot of small rodents where you're from.

"Likely incorrect, actually. However, I have not been in the human world I am from for very long, so there is quite a lot I have yet to observe."

Hm~ is that so? Well there's still much about this world that science has yet to discover so you have plenty of time to catch up.

"Aah. I suppose I do." He'll just lightly pet the little guinea pig now. It's kinda cute actually...

[ She puts hers down to pick another one up. ]

".... Earth's rodents are quite soft."

[ Such a shame, this guinea pig she is holding appears to have a heart disease. ]

...The heartbeat in this one is going a few beats too fast. Nothing too serious-

[ She finds a secluded area in the corner ]

"Ah- is it?" Oh boy.

"It would be best to rectify that, yes."

[ Alright, do we have spare anesthesia made from the lab? Check. More than enough for the rodent.

Beginning Operation!

"Ah- it is like human surgeries then?" Good thing Astral doesn't know enough to be screamish.

...And that he watches too much late night tv.

Astral don't distract the surgeon.

[ It's okay, Astral. Nothing Fran hasn't seen before. Just some excess heart tissue she she just needs to get rid of. ]

Humans and animals have similar attributes to each other. They're not alike exactly but there are somethings scientists can learn from both sides.

"Ahh. Interesting... Perhaps that is why Cathy is able to commune with cats..."

Astral seems to have gone off in a tangent. Oops.

Then you're dealing with something different. People who claim that they can communicate with other animals exhibit a case of the brain releasing certain hormones that make it appear that both human and animal are on the same wavelength.

[ She hasn't studied animal telepathy a bunch so her assumptions are derived from past data. Fran may be completely off base for all she knows. ]

"If you are speaking of illusions, I have seen for myself what occurs- it is somewhat alarming."

She is one of you're housemates, correct?

"Incorrect, actually- she is a young girl from my world- she is not present in Mayfield, along with the rest of Yuuma's friends... And Yuuma himself.

"That is fine. I myself have little memory of my identity prior arrival in the human world, so I have little to understand of myself as well.

[ She's just about done, a few blood squirts here and there but this guy won't die of blood loss. What she doesn't mention is that she may have injected the guinea pig with a new hormone. But eh- details... ]
