What is paradise?

For the person who brought us here, this place is paradise. After all, they can play with their toys all they want, break them all they want, and repair them all they want. The same for their play set. And in a way, I guess that is a valid paradise, isn't it? In the end, comfort is what everyone wants to some degree. And this place must make our captor comfortable, so I suppose that then is paradise.

But what's paradise to one person isn't to another, as we're finding out here. I suppose, then, if you had to design paradise, a perfect world: what would it be?

I don't think I'd want to try that. I've played those kinds of sim games before, and I'm really bad at them. There's always like a tornado or a bad harvest or something and like half the population dies on me. Way too much trouble.

I mean what is the perfect world you would like to live in?

I dunno. I think a perfect world would get pretty boring after a while. I mean, if you're just happy all the time.

Would it though? If it became boring, could you not just shape it into something else if you had the power to do so?

Oh, well, yeah, if we're talking about the kind of world where I can just change stuff whenever.

And does the home on the other side have any definite form? Anywhere, given enough perseverance, might come to be seen as a home.

It sounds like it would be pleasant, then miss.

Though I suppose paradise is always supposed to be such.

I believe paradise will be a place where all may live together as equals.

I'm a little surprised, I must admit.

... Actually, I don't really think it's the place itself that matters. What matters more is that you have the people most important to you with you, close to you.. that kind of thing would be called paradise, right?

For some, perhaps.

Some would say that Hell is other people, wouldn't they?

Really? Well, I don't really think that's true.. Or even if it is true, then there's no sort of paradise or heaven without other people either.

Isn't it possible paradise might differ between people? Or do you think there is only one place that could be paradise and all would think of it as such?

Isn't there? What if there was, though? What if paradise is only personally defined.
