[Ever since being taken to the factory and operated on, Lion has been scarce. Mainly because the operation locked him inside his own mind, believing that he was back home on the island of Rokkenjima with the dead bodies of his family and friends washing up on the beaches. He hasn't been able to see, hear or feel anything that's been going on in Mayfield.

Today, though, the nightmare has finally ended. Instead of being trapped on the abandoned island with no way of escape, Lion finds himself back in his assigned house in Mayfield, where he had eventually ended up by a stroke of luck. He feels dazed and rather tired, but he still picks up the phone. No use being kept in the dark.]

My apologies...but can anyone tell me what the current situation is? It looks like things have gone back to normal from what I can see, but I think I've missed several days here. I...suppose you could say my mind was elsewhere.

It's nice to speak to you formally, Ushiromiya-san. I can definitely make the arrangements with the headmaster for a drone replacement unless someone else would like to take over that class for the next few days, so please don't worry and rest easy. Just make sure to at least show up in the morning on the 4th day so that you don't get droned! [There is nothing wrong to encourage a co-worker to skip work, no.]

It's been a while, but I know I've definitely spoken to others with that family name before. Was that a coincidence, or do you come from a big family, if it's okay to ask?

...no, it's probably no coincidence. We are a pretty sizeable family...my grandfather had four children, and each of them had children, so there are quite a few of us. And some of us have been in Mayfield at one point. May I ask who you spoke to, if that's alright?

I see! That would make up for a very big size. No, of course not. I've spoken to Ushiromiya Ange, Ushiromiya Jessica, and Ushiromiya Battler. I never talked to them personally, but Battler-kun told me his parents were here too, at some point. Are they all your relatives?

Yes, they are. Battler and Ange are my cousins, and Jessica is my sister. I only spoke with Ange briefly before she left, though. I wouldn't wish for them to be subjected to anything our captors come up with, but I still miss them sometimes.

So it's like that... That's true, it must be hard to see their drones, but it's for the best if they're not around anymore. [Bearing the last few weeks in mind, especially...] Are there any others of your family still here, if it's okay for me to ask?

Yes, I would say so.

My aunt and uncle were both droned a little while ago...so I suppose that would make me the only Ushiromiya left. It's kind of an odd feeling.
