Third Horror: It was bound to happen sooner or later

[Carrie like others, heard about breaking the town and while she wasn't affected it seemed like something you should help out in. She could use it as a way to practise with her powers too. She hadn't really done much with that anyway.

And the best place to destroy?]

[Action: The High School: Carrie stands still in the middle of the school parking lot. Maybe this isn't such a good idea...after all there might be people still in it. Sometimes drones came....

As though on call she hears drones on the other side of the parking lot. A group of jocks are kicking a drone nerd who is on the ground.

She narrows her eyes and walks over. This time. This time she can help....]

Leave him alone.

"Get lost freak."

I said....leave him alone! Now!

[They turn on her. The nerd not even stopping as he get's up and runs away. Leaving her there with the three large teens.]

"That an order?"

[One of them pushes her to the ground and the other drones just laugh. And Carrie's blood boils, as memories of being horribly treated her entire life come back. She slowly get's up and glares.]

"Oh look, she's mad now. What are you going to do-"

[He doesn't get to finish as suddenly he's slammed backwards by an unseen force into the fence behind him. Carrie's head snaps to the side as she looks at the other two...or where they were. They ran away the moment their leader was thrown backwards. Carrie turns back to where he is in the fence. She crumples the metal fence around him as though it were tinfoil but turns back to the school. Now...now she was in the right mood.]

[A. Witness Carrie's attack on the bullies? See what she's going to do next?

B. Carrie is now in the mood to destroy...the high school is burning. Electical wiring is being broken and Carrie watching the building burn from the side walk.

C. Around town. There is a girl walking down the street. Street lights break as she goes by them. Cars smash. Windows shatter. She looks high strung and is walking stiffly as the path of destruction follows her down the street.]

[WOAH HOPPING DOWN FROM A ROOFTOP. Completely unfazed by the destruction around. Natch, she's seen worse.]

I assume you heard the announcement earlier?

[promfromhell]

Announc....

[Carrie blinks and it takes a moment to snap her out of her wide eyed glances.]

Yes. I heard it.

[Fate herself can't cause any mass destruction as she is now. Her magic is restricted to just a few melee forms, so she can't really do much. But she's moving between groups, trying to help out where she can. And that's when she notices the chaos on the street, and the familiar girl causing it. She also notices that something is wrong with said girl, and runs over.]

Carrie!

[She's dressed differently than usual; in her Barrier Jacket and carrying a long poleaxe, she looks much more like the military leader she is.]

Carrie, are you okay?

[promfromhell]

[Carrie's head snaps over at her name and for a moment there is no recognition. Just dead wild eyes and a snapping noise as a telephone pole snaps and falls to the ground behind her.]

[thunderace]

[Fate stops short as the telephone pole falls. But she doesn't run, and there's no fear in her eyes.

This will need a gentle approach, so with a wordless command, Bardiche vanished in a flash of light, returning to his pendant form attached to the glove on her right hand. She approaches again, slower this time.]

It's okay, Carrie. I'm not here to stop you. I'm just worried, that's all.

[promfromhell]

[Carrie trembles and for a moment it seems like she might break or send something flying towards Fate.

But slowly recognition starts to seep into her eyes. She's not back home, this is not her final night of destruction.

She slowly unstiffens her body and her breathing returns to normal, heart rate slowing as she lets go of her power's grasp on the world around her.

What was she doing? Help....she just]


....I just...wanted to help.

[thunderace]

That's good... we don't know whether this is really going to work or not, but we need all the help we can get. [She moves closer when she sees Carrie relax, until she's only a few steps away.] But you looked scared. Did something happen?

[promfromhell]

[She tenses up slightly, but it's the normal tensing of a scared girl. Not the out of her mind breaking things tense. She nods shakily.]

Tried to help someone. Drones. Picking on someone. He ran off. They tried to hurt me. Pushed me.

Stopped them. Can't hurt me now. Not again. Never again. No one can hurt me now. I can hurt them.

[Neville's nervous, but he's also not comfortable just standing by]

Um, M-Miss?

[promfromhell]

[She looks over. Her eyes are starting to seem dull, but she can still work through the rage to answer. And for once there is no fear. She has the power here. He saw that. Oh yes he saw that. He can't hurt her. She has power. No one can hurt her. No one.]

[That's... worrying]

Are you... alright? They weren't bothering you, were they?

Tried to.....Like everyone else.

Couldn't. They ran away.

[And there's that one drone who is either dead or unconscious wrapped up in the fence over there.]

I just wanted to stop them. They were hurting someone.

[infourbooks]

Bullies?

[Neville catches sight of the drone by the fence. And gulps.]

[promfromhell]

Yes.

Bullies. Horrible. They were hurting someone.

I stopped them. They tried to hurt me.

I stopped them. Can't hurt me anymore. Can't.

[Yep, that is definitely a burning building.

Crane had been interested in seeing the mayhem the phone call would cause, so he's been walking around town and observing. He hasn't noticed Carrie yet.]

[promfromhell]

[Burn the school. Burn the school. Carrie is watching it burn. Standing, stiffly and staring. A window in the door suddenly cracks as she stares at it.]

[phobophobia]

[oh man this is pretty sweet he hopes there are casualties

... You have a gift, you know. Not a curse, not an affliction-- a gift. You are incredibly powerful, and anyone who dares go against you, who dares to try and harm you, is a fool. [And is he slightly envious, even if he knows of her ultimate fate? Yes.]

...a gift?

[No one's ever said that to her before. But yes. Yes it's true.]

They can't hurt me anymore. ....I won't let them.

[ Lan Fan nearly dodges the shrapnel from a street lamp before preparing a grenade in case she has to blow away debris.

She'll be approaching Carrie, slightly armed in case she turns out to be an indiscriminate killer. ]

Are you the reason why the street is being destroyed?

[promfromhell]

[Carrie looks over.]

Yes.

[unyielding]

....How? [ These are about the only words that can come out of Lan Fan's mouth. ]

[promfromhell]

I can make things happen with my mind.

[unyielding]

Do you mind being more specific? Like what are you doing to make the street act like this?! [ Her voice escalates an octave in confusion. ]
