[The Captain is not doing so well.

He is wearing pants and his coat, but is going shirtless. Bandages are wrapped around his abdomen. Blood stains, most of them about a day old, dirty the bandages.

He's holding his stomach with one arm and a bucket with sticky quarters in his free hand. The bucket says "Swear Jar" on the side.

He's walking slowly, stumbling a bit. Muttering to himself.

On occasion he forgets what not to mutter about.

So, on occasion, you will find him on his knees. He's going through spasms that end with him coughing up a quarter into that bucket.]

No... this is something else.

Droning is the perfect citizen thing.

Every now and then they get us like this... This is bad. Not the worse... but bad.

[There are pauses in his speech, like he is plotting his wrods so he doesn't curse.]

Do you think magic will be able to fix it if they did this too you?

[She's not sure why she's still surprised by some of the things that happen here.]

I doubt it. If they don't want it fixed, it won't be fixed.

I heard from others it can't be fixed.

[That is depressing. Shaking his head.]

Just got to tough it out. Even though I can feel that thing sitting inside me.

Well, at least let someone clean up the dressing for you. You wouldn't want it to get infected.

I think I got a bottle of whiskey back at home, that'll clean it out.

Yeah, I think I got some of that too.

I really wish being invunerable actually meant they couldn't ☠☠☠☠ hurt me here. That'd be nice.

[She nods and frowns.]

The seems to take things back whenever they want.

I figure it's best to drink and just wait it out.

[If only he'd actually just do that. Instead, he guilts himself into trying to help and just makes it worse.]

I don't know, that might make it worse. What about helping people? Usually people need help during these things.

Sure, but you know, you don't always have to do something big

Most people think they're not great at stuff. Is there something you think you're really good at?

Normal people even explode. Tough guys get to spend the next few months in a hospital.

That can be a good skill. You could probably save someone from collision then!

But I don't think you should make people explode. Unless they're really bad.

Yeah, I promised someone here I wouldn't kill people.

I've broken that a few times but the people deserved it or I couldn't help it.

Sometimes there are people who deserve it. As long as you're trying to keep your promise, that's what counts!

I mean, I smeared more bad guys than good guys, that's got to count, right?
