[A: Phone]
[The laughter on the phone is a desperate sounding noise, the kind of laugh that someone has when hope has been crushed so completely all they can do is laugh at themselves and how stupid they were to think that escape was possible.]
So that's it, then. We're all just a copied file in someone else's game simulator. It's funny, almost ironic in some ways, but that's it then. There's no way out, we'll die here, and that's...
[The laughter almost sounds like Mika's crying, but she isn't. Not yet.]
Captain Rogers, looks like I can't go back with you after all. Thanks for the offer, it...it really meant a lot to me that you asked at all.
I'm sorry.
[She's choking up, there's so much she wanted to say, so many people she had something important to tell, but she's struggling just to hold the phone to her ear.]
I'm so sorry everyone. I can't--I can't hold her off anymore. I'm so, so sorry.
Run.
[B. 339 Brady Lane]
[Mika's struggling to stop it, but she's not strong enough to stop the way her body's been reprogrammed without her consent. Her lead pipe's in her hand, and a sheathed carving knife is tucked into her belt. She hunts down scents faster than a bloodhound, but the look on her face is nothing short of terrified.]
Quinn, Raz, GET OUT OF THE HOUSE. RUN! Oh my God I'm so sorry, I'm so, so sorry! Please, run!
[C. The Streets]
[She's walking down the center of the street, her pipe held in an unwavering grip even though her teeth are clenched and her tears have left filthy smudges on her cheeks. Her clothes are already stained, either from the blood of other captives or from drones, or even herself.
But Mika is hunting and she won't be allowed to stop until everyone else is dead. Or Johnson gets bored of her latest experiment.]

B
Whoa! What the hell're ya doin'?
Re: B
[Mika is sobbing openly now, but the pipe swings and smashes a chair out of her way as she advances regardless of how she feels about this. Her swing is stronger than her frail appearance would make it seem, as the wood visibly splinters when she knocks it aside.]
Please, Quinn! You've got to grab Raz and run! Please!
[Because it's either that or have Mika lunging for his face. Mika can't stop herself either way and she's crossing the room, the pipe already being lifted into a ready stance.]
Just go!
no subject
[Okay well he's not going to argue. He makes a dash for the door. He has no idea where Raz is for the moment, but he won't be able to find him if he's dead.]
no subject
[She chases, though her base urge to murder is thankfully hindered by her bad leg.]

Try the roofs, I can't climb! Oh my God, Quinn, I'm sorry!
thrrrreadjack (tell me if this is not okay!)
[A Psi-Blast hits the ground next to Mika. Raz doesn't want to hit her but distractions are still viable!]
You can't chase both of us at once, right?
totally cool! Quinn > Mika > Raz?
I... yeah, roofs! Got it! Raz, geez, be careful!
[Quinn runs through the yard of the house he's at to head around to the back. Hopefully one of these places will have a ladder or something....]
Yes good :3c
[Because now Mika's whipping around to face him, her hand going for the knife at her belt, a snarl working its way out of her before she could stop it. Two targets, and one was escaping.
Unacceptable.
Mika screamed as she found herself lunging toward Raz, pipe in one hand and the carving knife held at the ready in the other.]
RUN!
yay~
[He bounces on the ball a little to taunt her- or rather, to taunt whatever's making her act homicidal.]
A
[It's a dumb question, sure, but apparently she'd like to hang on to any tiny bit of hope that things might not be completely terrible.]
A
I'm supposed to kill everyone.
[The hysteria is obvious in her voice, choked up with tears threatening to spill over. Mika couldn't control herself, her own body was working against her and she was getting so tired of fighting it, but she still strained against the urges.]
I just...I have to warn everyone. They need to get out!
no subject
But... But hold on, you're still talkin'! You're fightin' it off! There's gotta be somethin' you can do!

[Oh what a terrible idea.]

At the sight of a the pipe-wielding woman covered in blood, he slows quickly and watches her with a look of uncertain curiosity. With his sense for detecting despair and the desire for escape removed, he can't tell whether or not she's on the brink of insanity or if she's seeking release.]
C
Run! Don't just stand there, run! Go, I can't stop it!
[She sounds hysterical, her voice raw as if she's been screaming all day, even as she lifts her pipe like a baseball bat of her own and begins to charge him. For someone who looks like she could collapse at any moment, she can be surprisingly fast.]
no subject
What's happening?
no subject
It's Johnson, she's done something, I think she's reprogrammed me somehow! I can't stop it, my body's moving on its own and there's...there's nothing I can do!
no subject
It's making you kill people?
no subject
[She's sobbing uncontrollably now, scared of what her body's doing, trapped in a cage of flesh and bone. Mika swings her pipe again and again, trying to bash his bat out of the way even as she begs him to escape before she hurt him.]
no subject
I can try to stop you. [a strident clang explodes between them as metal clashes] But I have to hit you.
no subject
[After all, her blows are coming faster now, as if frustrated with the fact that she hasn't been able to land a single hit on him yet. There's a moment of brief hesitation where her arms shudder as if something restrains them, but it's gone as fast as it came. Mika's faint shred of control of her limbs is slipping faster with every moment.]
no subject
Now it was time to end this - at least temporarily - and it would end fast. Slugger doesn't bother avoiding her next strike, though the pipe will tear through nothing but air in an empty space or possibly a trash bin.
Instantly behind her, Slugger aims a swift blow to the back of her head...]
no subject
Stretched out on the sidewalk she looks frail and withered, it's hard to say if her earlier speed and ferocity were something she'd always had or if it was simply Johnson's tampering at work.
Either way, she's not going to be causing any trouble in her current state.]
no subject
C
Mika?!
[He hasn't yet figured out if she's attacking things or has been attacked herself.]
no subject
[Her arm twitches like she's trying to wave him off, only her hand goes straight for the knife at her belt. She yanks it out of its sheath even while she's nearly screaming for him to leave.]
You've got to go, please!
no subject
It's okay--I know what you're going through. Believe me, I've been there.
[He's dropped into a combat position and is watching that knife.]
I'm just going to try to restrain you, alright?
no subject
I'm so sorry! Please, I'm so, so sorry!
[She looks desperate, choking on what might be tears even as she seems to be trying her best to either bash his skull in or slide her knife between his ribs.]
R-really? Will it work?
[Somewhere beneath her panic is a shred of hope.]
no subject
I can't break the control, but I think I can immobilize you for a bit.
[A bladed longbow appears in his hands, and as he's dodging blows, he removes his belt buckle and slots it into the bow. He darts back away from her as he slides a card through that belt buckle.]
BIO
[Vines emerge from the bow, and he begins trying to snare her. There's a definite note of apology in his voice.]
Mind the thorns...this is the best I can do on short notice, sorry.
no subject
[There's a flash of worry in her eyes when she sees the bow, her ears flicking back in agitation, though she's more worried that she's going to injure him badly if she's not stopped.
The vines startle a yelp out of her, and even though he warns her, she still strains against them, trying to cut herself free or yank her pipe loose with complete disregard to herself. Almost as if she didn't even care if she was hurt or not.]
No it's fine! [In spite of the way she strains against them, Mika sounds almost grateful.]
I'm so sorry about this, Hajime. I...
Thank you.
no subject
[He's going over to check on her now. The bow vanishes.]
Is there anywhere you'd like me to bring you?
C - The Streets
Oh! There's Mika!]
Mika! Mika!
[Oh no, she's been fighting! Ever concerned and ever worried, he darts out into the street towards her.]
no subject
[There's something distinctly wrong with Mika, like the way she raises her pipe as soon as she sees him, almost as if she's waiting for him to get close enough to smash him with it.]
Kitten, don't get any closer, please!
no subject
[He stops, listening like a good kitten would. And then takes an uneasy step back. It looks like she's going to swing that thing!]
Mika, did you get hurt? I'll help! I'll help! M....Mika?
[His ears droop and he cringes backwards. This feels... wrong.]
no subject
[Mika's quick to think of something that will make sense to Nyanpire, her ears twitching back for the briefest instant as she whines.]
A very bad lady put a curse on me that makes me hurt people even if I don't want to! You've got to run!
no subject
[His ears prick back up. Was it the bad lady? The one that had spoken in his head? The one that had hurt all his friends so badly?]
Nyooooo! The bad lady hurt Mika! The bad lady hurt Mika!
[He scrambles backwards, horrified, eyes still fixed on her and her pipe and...
Oh.
OH.
Nyanpire starts to run.]
