[Yawning loudly, Gentarou has been sent out to get the milk. Which, he knows by this point, that he should be hiding. Which he'll do when he gets back inside. But, he's about to get distracted by the box that he rams his bare toe into.]

Ow! A...box?

[He'll spot his name on it. And quickly enough, he'll realize that this is mail for him. He'll tear back inside, forgetting the milk completely. Tearing the box open, he'll pull out something he's been waiting for, for a while now.]

IT'S HERE!!!!!

[Action A: John Doe Park: Open to all.]

[Gen is now standing by a tree in the park, clicking the Rocket switch in his hand. He can't wait for one of his friends (which means just about anyone) to come up, so he can show off the shiny belt he has now latched onto his waist.]

This is gonna be greeaaaattt!

[How lucky that Dakki goes for a run through the park on most days of the week! Why, she's even in her armor! Most of it. The pieces that were still structurally sound, at least.

When she spots Gentarou standing around in a semi-meaningful fashion, she detours and jogs right on over to him.]

Gentarou! Nice to see you! What are you up to?

[He'll pop off the tree, grinning brightly.]

Guess what I got back?

Ooh! You've gotten something back?

[She claps her hands together with anticipatory glee.]

Is it your... driver? Was it that?

[He'll clip the Rocket switch into his belt, the device responding back by saying the switch's name.]

And they were nice enough ta give me some astroswitchs so it'll work.

[He'll look down at the middle-right one.]

Though...I think someone was having some kind of laugh when they tossed this one in here.

Ooh! [That was in reaction to the little voice that the belt spoke in when the switched was snapped in. Cute!]

Mmm? What one's that? What's wrong with it?

Nothin's wrong with it. It just seems random to send me the switch that turns my leg into a giant calligraphy brush.

It... it does what? [She doesn't quite look like she believes that.]

...and why your leg? Wouldn't your arm be easier to use?

It's fun though! You can make inky kicks and the ink can turn solid!

....what? [This is strange. This is silly. She's not sure if she buys it, and she crosses her arms over her chest.]

[Pinkie spends a lot of time in the park, because the park is fun and the best place to meet people without having drones suddenly start freaking out about dogs getting where they shouldn't.

She spots Gentarou and waves, then trots on over.]

[Seconds later, Gen's body is clad in shiny white armor.]

[He's almost as excited. I severely doubt anyone could match Pinkie's level for enthusiasm.]

Wanna see what else it can do? I got four switches!

[Beast Boy wouldn't normally stand out in the park, being green as he was, but with the coming of autumn, he made a stark contrast to the now-predominant yellows and browns. He sits underneath a tree only a few dozen feet away, but fails to react even as Gentarou begins speaking aloud to himself.]

[Luckily, or maybe unluckily for BB, Gen can spot a bud from a great number of vantage points. So, he'll grin and sprint over.]

Yo Beast Boy! How're things?

[Clearly, Beast Boy had failed to notice his friend at all.]

...Oh. Hey, dude. ......................Fine, I guess.

[Or. Pretty obviously not.]

[Now, Gen might not be the brightest bulb in the pack, but he knows when his friends aren't feeling their best. So, he'll plop down beside him, forgetting about the driver on his waist for the moment.]

[He won't prod him on the subject though...better to let it come out naturally.]

[Beast Boy sighs again before turning towards Gen.]

...What's that you've got there?

[Gen figures that taking BB's mind off of whatever's bothering might be for the best at the moment, so he'll run with the subject change.]

I got my Driver back! I can transform now!

Oh! Uh. ...Sweet.

[It probably is sweet, but Beast Boy's mind doesn't seem capable of processing anything very deep right now. He has no idea what Gentarou's talking about and so he stares with a blank expression. ...It's not that much different from his normal expression, really.]

So. ...What do you transform into, again? I've got the animal thing down, just letting you know.
