Outside Hospital | Morning of the 29th

[ If he thought the day before was terrible, it's nothing compared to today. He wakes up, this time not even on a stretcher, but on the front steps of the Mayfield hospital. Rude. He pulls himself to his feet. The place looks terrible, with fallen over trees, craters in the ground, and everything has this dirty look to it. He can still hear the gunshots, just like yesterday, and all the shouting. He knows that his men must be somewhere, but he can't see any of them.

Thankfully, he's enough in his right mind to know that home needs to be his first destination. ]



All around town | Morning - Noon

[ Magnus spends most of his time walking home jumping behind trees and peering around the sides of buildings. He keeps glancing over his shoulder and jumps at loud noises. It looks like he's playing a game of spy. ]



1247 Williams | Midday

[ Magnus all but ninja rolls into the house, slamming the door behind him hard enough to make pictures fall off the walls. He scrambles around the kitchen until he finds several large knives in one of the drawers. Then he crouches himself into a corner, pulling chairs and the table in front of him to make a sort of barricade.

Daddy's acting weird, household. ]

[[ooc: Magnus is having vivid hallucinations about being in the middle of a warzone. Warning, he might attack if approached. Or he might think you're one of his men.]]

Valentine.

[ This makes sense to him, since the only war he's been in was the Uprising against Valentine. However, it seems that the fact that Valentine is dead has slipped his mind. ]

No, I don't- [ He stares at the pipe for a second, then sighs and takes it. He's always been an emotional smoker. ]

Who's that? [ Or maybe it wasn't a person..?

He watches Magnus, trying to see if it'll calm him down. ]

[ He leans against the wall and crouches low to the ground. The pipe does seem to help a little. But he's still wincing at invisible noises and glancing around the corner every so often. ]

... You must be new. Valentine is... Valentine. Gorgeous and powerful, and charismatic as hell. But he also has a sick sense of justice and wants to kill my entire species. The saying 'the end justifies the means' is like his slogan.

[ Not really getting the wincing and glancing. Since there's still nothing there. ]

Never heard of him. [ He crouches down next to him. ] Sounds a bit similar to Hagoromo Gitsune though. And you're not human? [ Was he an ayakashi too? ]

[ A soft sigh. ] No. I'm a warlock. [ Usually, the fact that he's not human is pretty clear. But upon his arrive to Mayfield, he's found that his cat eyes have been traded out for human eyes. ]

[hyon_soudaishou]

Is that a form of ayakashi? I haven't heard of your kind before. [ And then he's supposed to be the lord of Pandemonium. ]

[bootsandboys]

... A form of what? [ He jumps at a particularly loud noise that isn't there and let's out a slow sigh. ]

[hyon_soudaishou]

Ayakashi. Some call us creatures of the dark and all that. I was told it's called demon here. [ He's just blinking at the jump. ] Hey, cool down.

[bootsandboys]

Oh. [ A pause. ] I guess you could say that. Warlocks are the offspring of a demon and a human. [ He glares hard and gets to his feet. ] Come on, we have to keep moving.

[hyon_soudaishou]

Oh, so you're just like my son then. [ Ah well, he'll follow him. Maybe make sure he doesn't get himself into some real trouble.

[bootsandboys]

[ Now he's glancing over his shoulder at him with a frown. ] I guess I am. [ Magnus kind of has Daddy issues. ] So you're a demon?

[hyon_soudaishou]

[ Now, Nurarihyon doesn't get why he's frowning. He just mentioned his adorable baby son. ] Yeah, I am. Been called the Lord of Pandemonium, even. [ Yes, he's proud of that. To be known as the strongest is a big thing after all. ]

[bootsandboys]

[ In his world, demons don't tend to be the best of fathers.

At that, he laughs slightly, peering around the corner of a building. ] Pandemonium. Classy.

[ Nurarihyon's the best daddy ever. If an idiot one.

He gives a grin. ]

Isn't it? I'm Nurarihyon, by the way.

[ Probably better than Magnus's Daddy, at least. ]

Magnus Bane. [ Under normal circumstances, he'd introduce himself as Magnus Bane, the Marvelous High Warlock of Brooklyn. But these aren't normal circumstances. ] It's a pleasure, all things considering.

[hyon_soudaishou]

Nice to meet you too, Bane. [ Yeah, totally thinking that's his given name.

All things considering you're hallucinating... ]

[ He doesn't even care that much. He'll probably correct him at some point, but right now, he's too busy glaring around the corner. ]

[hyon_soudaishou]

[ All good and well then.

Nurarihyon's just looking at Magnus behaving weirdly now. It's getting sort of amusing by now. ]

[ And then he darts from the corner of the building to behind a tree, dragging Nurarihyon with him. Yep nobody getting shot today.

Especially since there's nobody actually shooting. ]
