37th Blood | This isn't fun anymore
[Phone | Unfiltered]
So yea...I've been here for a while, and got pretty used to all the stupid stuff that goes on here. It was all pretty weird but you could kind of get used to it after a while, and even start predicting when stuff would happen.
[There's a long pause before Arcueid speaks again. She doesn't really sound afraid, just maybe a little nervous.]
This is different...isn't it?
[Action | All around town | Late night]
[Once the moon had come up, Arcueid had decided to take stock of what might be going on around town. No goofy Phantasmoon, no silly antics, she's just moving about like a vampire do.
You may find her sitting on your roof, laying on the grass, or maybe just actually walking around like a normal person. The woman seems a little bit worn out tonight, no whimsical fancies to deal with.
Feel free to bug her, she'd probably appreciate it, actually.]

Just try not to fall asleep out here. You don't make a very nice lawn decoration, I'm afraid.
no subject
I dunno, though...I think I make a good lawn decoration.
[Arcueid pauses for a long moment, just staring up at the sky, before continuing.]
Hey, you've been here for a while, right?
no subject
I have, yes. Why do you ask?
no subject
[A simple question, from a somewhat simple person.]
no subject
I would say that's accurate. Richard Grey has been present since Westport, and his demise is the least of our worries.
no subject
Ahhh it's all so annoying!
[If you didn't know any better, it almost seemed like Arc may be on the verge of throwing a fit out of frustration.]
no subject
They did, yes. Someone spoke on the phone recently and said that the librarian was given the items and then "sorta fucked off into a portal to a fucking wasteland", as they put it. With Richard dead, I assume she's the only person in town that we truly have on our side now that Zemekis is awake, and she might not return.
no subject
Wait...am I supposed to know who Zemekis is?
no subject
Doctor Zemekis, the person behind this entire town? He masquerades as Lucy Smith. Please tell me you know that name, at the very least.
no subject
I kind of stopped paying attention when it seemed like I'd probably be here for decades.
[Whoops, she knows how that makes her look so she's just going to roll around on the ground a bit.]
no subject
[he pinches the bridge of his nose briefly in a habitual gesture of irritation, and watches her roll. she is not helping her image at all....] At the rate things are going now, I don't believe you'll have to worry about decades going by.
no subject
Yea, it really looks like this place won't be lasting much longer. I wonder if we'll all die for real if we get caught up in it?
[Though, Arcueid doesn't sound particularly worried about it.]
no subject
but he crosses his arms over his chest and gives something of a lopsided shrug at that.]
It's entirely possible. If this place collapses I doubt any of us will come out of it intact, and if Zemekis winds up regaining complete control, I can definitely say none of us would come out of it intact.
no subject
It'd be kind of interesting to see if I could actually die.
no subject
I'm uncertain if death in a traditional sense is what we would have to deal with. Nonexistence might be a better way to phrase it, and who can say whether or not we would still be able to exist outside of Mayfield if we're lost inside of it.
no subject
So, it'd be funny to find out I'd just be re-formed at home or something. Or maybe all my powers will come back and I can just go back to the castle.
no subject
This is, of course, assuming that our memories of our own worlds are in proper working order. It's also working under the assumption that we're tied in any way to the worlds that exist outside of Mayfield.
no subject
Maybe we're some sort of alternate versions of ourselves here?
no subject
no subject
Because...like...I'm me, but then I'm not the real me I'm just one made for Mayfield? So that means I might die...but then I didn't really die because the real me is still out there and I was just an alternative me who isn't in any way associated with the real me but then again I have my own memories so maybe I, myself am alive without being attached in any way to the original yet we share the same memories of our past...and...
.......ow......
no subject
Don't strain yourself. The fact of the matter is, we might never find out exactly what's going on here. The best thing to focus on at this point is keeping Zemekis from doing any damage.
no subject
What's in it for me if I do?
no subject
Not being erased from the face of the existence you currently know, for one.
