tsukihime: (You're weird)

37th Blood | This isn't fun anymore

[Phone | Unfiltered]

So yea...I've been here for a while, and got pretty used to all the stupid stuff that goes on here. It was all pretty weird but you could kind of get used to it after a while, and even start predicting when stuff would happen.

[There's a long pause before Arcueid speaks again. She doesn't really sound afraid, just maybe a little nervous.]

This is different...isn't it?

[Action | All around town | Late night]

[Once the moon had come up, Arcueid had decided to take stock of what might be going on around town. No goofy Phantasmoon, no silly antics, she's just moving about like a vampire do.

You may find her sitting on your roof, laying on the grass, or maybe just actually walking around like a normal person. The woman seems a little bit worn out tonight, no whimsical fancies to deal with.

Feel free to bug her, she'd probably appreciate it, actually.]

[he's tempted to say that can wrap back around to narcissism too, but simply winds up shrugging in the end.]

That's as good a reason as any, really. Any effort at this point is better than none.

Living without the binds of consequence can be risky, you know. [but he sounds more amused than concerned.]

...Leaving an imprint might be nice, though. Something to prove that we were here in the first place.

[he is so done with you arcueid get off his lawn] ...I would hope for something a little more elegant, but beggars can't be choosers.

The wording itself could be more elegant, I mean. Magic or not, if you expend all of that effort to rip through space-time and leave a message, don't you think it should be a bit more poignant? Something that would make other people think, if they ever managed to find it?

Not exactly a flashy show-stopper, but I suppose it's useful, at the very least.

I don't know. Something with meaning, but I won't be aiming for that end goal in the first place, so there isn't much point in pondering over what I might write if that were the case.

Because yours is so simple that it's almost offensive. [he doesn't have to make sense!!]

If that makes you happy, who am I to judge? [in the most judgmental tone...]

At any rate, how long are you planning on staying out here?

Well, no one could fault you for being dishonest. Try not to stay out too late.

I mean try not to stay out on my lawn too late. If I slept at all, it would be quite difficult finding peace knowing someone was lurking in the yard.

Stare out of the window feeling vaguely uncomfortable until the crack of dawn. Or, on a slightly more realistic level, mentally plan a redesign garden around the new addition of a very large lawn gnome.

Ah, decorations that rearrange themselves don't make for very good centerpieces, that's certainly true. A lawn gnome wouldn't match the roses very well, anyway.

Blue and yellow don't clash, exactly. [he gives her hair a look of mock-appraisal before turning to face his house with a shrug.]

Some yellow flowers might be refreshing, though. Perhaps there's another lawn out there that already has some planted and waiting to match their new gnome. [that might have been a barely-there snicker] Don't force me to buy new drapes, please.
