I got a call today from the elementary school asking me to turn in my curriculum for next year.  Is that kind of thing normal?  Did the rest of you get your jobs this way?  I guess it could be worse, though - teaching spelling to a bunch of kids doesn't sound that bad.

[Well, with job-related things out of the way, Kariya has decided to focus on more immediate concerns - shopping for food for that picnic he promised to take Rin and Sakura on.  He can be found in various places throughout the store loading up on all kinds of things - lunchmeat and all sorts of fresh veggies for sandwich fixings, sodas and other kinds of easily portable drinks, and so on.  He's pretty sure that Rider and Lancer are going to crash the party too, so the cart's getting pretty full since he's planning on feeding three people and two Servants.]

How hard can spelling lessons really be?

Is that what you have to teach then?

Yeah. Maybe writing, too, but that's it.

That doesn't sound too difficult. American schools are much easier, aren't they?

I don't really know, but that's what everyone says.

Well, it can't be that bad of a job. A job is a job and you'll need it to provide for your family. Without money, well, it sucks. Let's just say that.

Hm, speaking of, I need to go talk to Lancer about that.

That's true. I can't let Rider and Sakura do all the work.

What about Lancer? Do the two of you have enough money?

No, he doesn't make much as a bartender. If we were married, it'd be up to me to provide for everything. That worthless, stupid Servant and his worthless, stupid job...

Maybe I can lend you some once I start getting paid if you're ever a little short.

I can't even afford to buy new clothes. I guess I'm just going to have to risk going to school with a skirt too short for my long and mesmerizing legs...

And then my perfect record will be ruined because I got suspended on the first day of school for being distracting with my beautiful appearance...

From Rider... geez, now I'm really starting to feel guilty. I could just ask father instead, I suppose.

...Ah, I mean, don't worry. I'll come up with the money.

[ Right, he doesn't really like her father. Then again, does her father really like her? After their last conversation... ]

Sorry Uncle Kariya. It's just that Rider and I are close in a strange manner. I'd feel rotten taking her money when it's probably going to Sakura.
