➶ so when the sun is coming up and you go
➵ ACTION | 1761 BEAVER STREET | MORNING
[ Nathaniel finds himself awoken by the sun poking in through the window. He takes a moment to wonder at how well he actually slept- his first dreamless sleep in a long time- before actually opening his eyes.
This was quite nice, actually. Soft bed, warm sunshine, the Champion of Kirkwall.
... Hold on.
Not that he would deny that Hawke was an attractive woman, what little he really saw of her while they were hip-deep in Darkspawn gore, but he really would have remembered going to bed with her. She really didn't strike him as being... forgettable.
He rolls over to take stock of the rest of the room. The mabari seems like the only normal thing there, really. Everything else is... off. This doesn't look like any building he's ever seen, anywhere. It's the picture on the nightstand that finally startles him, and he sits bolt upright, causing the dog to start as well and it begins barking at him.
Once that crisis is over, he'll finally pad downstairs to take a look at the rest of the house and meet the rest of his "family". ]
➵ PHONE | LATE MORNING
[ A hesitant pause. He's still not sure about this thing, even after a tutorial. ] Apparently I should try this... thing out.
This is the fastest way to get in touch with the town at large, correct? At least, that's what I've been told. [ if Hawke is just messing with him, they're going to have words later. ]
I guess this is the part where I ask questions about our situation, but I've been mostly informed, I think. Unless someone can point me towards where I might lay my hands on a bow and some arrows?

Or if you prefer waiting, the town occasionally gives possessions and such back, so you might get lucky and they'll return your own weapons.
[Phone]
I'd rather not wait. Perhaps I'll ask around. Thank you.
[Phone]
And it's no problem at all! We've all been in your situation, so it's only natural for some to help the new arrivals out.
[Phone]
Forgive me. My name is Nathaniel. And you are?
[Phone]
Oh, it's all right! It's nice to meet you, Nathaniel. My name is Fate.

A firearm... it's a projectile weapon, like a highly advanced bow and arrow. Sort of.

action;
Come, now, old boy, you should know better. It's just another drone; he isn't going to hurt you.
[...Wait. That isn't a drone in bed with her. That's--] Nathaniel Howe. [And a grin.] Mayfield still has a sense of humor, I see.
action;
What's going on?
action;
This is Mayfield. Simply put, we've been kidnapped and shuffled into little make-believe families. Husband, wife, children, you know. You're husband number five, if I remember right. [Cupcake barks and wags his tail, confirming that fact for her.] And the second one to come from Thedas.
It sounds harmless, but this place is rather sinister, if you'll believe it. You'll be homesick for your Deep Roads and darkspawn soon enough.
action;
Alright, we've been taken captive, but to what end? Why are we here?
