[A: Phone (Open to All)]

[It's pretty late at night and Al is at the end of his rope. Ed has been avoiding him, he utterly failed to protect anyone he cared about when the town went to hell, and he was once more trapped in this stupid armour body. His voice is high pitched in a mix of distress and determination, coming all in a rush down the phones.]

I've had enough!

I'm not going to let this town hurt anyone I care about any more, and I'm not going to let anyone else get hurt. I know... I know I can't protect everybody, but I can help teach people who don't know how to protect themselves.

So... come to the park in the morning if you want to learn, and together we can help make sure that we can give this place a really good fight!

[B: Park (Open to All)]

[Sure enough, mid morning finds one Alphonse Elric in the park, ready to teach anyone who shows up. He knows a lot of people here are competent already, and that some wouldn't want his lessons. But if he can help even one person get better at defending themselves, then he's done a good job.]

[C: 1649 Albright Lane (Locked to Ed)]

[He has had more than enough of Ed avoiding him. He knew from others what had happened to Brother during the carnival, and he is furious that Ed hadn't come to find him as soon as it was all over. He has been around himself a few times since, but he always seems to mysteriously miss his big brother.

Not today.

He's hammering on the door loudly, big metal fist making a furious pounding that shakes the door.]

BROTHER! BROTHER, OPEN THE DOOR!

[He's enthusiastic, it feels good to help someone.]

[And he's enthusastic that he gets to stab people, okay not really.

He leads Alphonse back to his place. The moment he steps into the kitchen, he's tearing it apart. He's pulling out drawers and dumping the forks, spoons and butter knives on the floor in a pile. He's even going as far as to toss the good knives the drone mother uses into the pile. Pretty much anything made of steel in this kitchen goes in the pile. Even if he's ripping it off the walls to do it. Nothing is safe.]

[That's going a little overboard, and Al puts a hand on his shoulder when he starts wrenching things off the wall.]

H-Hey! That's enough, you don't have to do that.

[logic_and_magic]

[Crown looks back at Alphonse at hearing him to stop.]

Hm? There is nothing wrong with it Alphonse, I assure you. The drones will not notice.

In any case...is that enough than?

Mm, it's more than enough. Stand back a little.

[Waiting until Crown was far enough back, Al clapped his hands together and out of the pile of knives and forks arose a fully formed rapier.]

[Watching the magic of science happy, Crown walks over to the rapier and picks it up. Drawing it out from what could be assumed to be a sheath he gives it a swing.]

Yes, this is perfect. Balanced just right, light enough for quick movement but strong enough to withstand the heaviest of blows. Thank you, Alphonse. I am in your debt. You have one favour from me, and I will do my best to complete it.

[He feels a little awkward, he didn't do this for recompense and he doesn't want Crown thinking he has to do anything in return. So he just thinks for a moment before...]

How about you be my friend, and call it even?

[Okay, this is enough to make Crown a little bit shocked. Enough to drop the sword.]

Y-your friend?

[He's lost his composure a little. He's really not sure how to act in this kind of situation.]

I-If it so pleases you, than I will be your friend...

[He gives an awkward chuckle, he wasn't expecting quite that strong a reaction.]

Good! Um... I hope it pleases you too.

[He picks up the sword again coughing, hoping that'll regain his composure.]

Well...an ally is a good thing to have.

[Can you tell that he has awkward times with socializing, Al? At least with this kind?]

[Everyone needs friends, especially here. Besides, nobody can be as initially awkward as Satou.]

Mm, definitely! Now you've got one more.

I suppose I do...

[He kind has to laugh at this, not in a malicious way, just that it Al reminds him of his younger brother. So optimistic and wanting to work together with everyone.]

[Hopefully that's a good thing, and Al is pleased Crown seems to at least be relaxing now.]

I bet you'll have loads more before long.

It is doubtful...but one can hope.

[Time for blunt honest time. And it's not going to be fun.]

A dead heart usually has a hard time making them. But, I will keep that in mind.

[A dead heart? He was... dead?]

[And now time for the cold act.]
