[Sherlock had heard about the possibility of being droned, so here he is at work. And he's actually, you know, working. He's not here for his own gain, nor to do research. And he's actually pointing customers in the right direction, after telling them something about themselves they'd rather keep hidden. He doesn't sound like he wants to help. He sounds more like he's here under threat of punishment - which is pretty much true.]

[Sherlock is reading a book - or pretending to. He's actually watching drones and people milling about. He's hoping to try to think his way out of this place. And he's hoping by observing others, he'll learn something.]

[There's some guilt and reluctance that's bled into her voice; there's undercurrents that hint to some self-blame and some poor self-confidence.]

How do you even know I'm lying anyway? You can't prove it.

[He levels a look at her that says, "Are you this much of an idiot?" Don't mind him, he looks at practically everyone that way.]

Because the injuries that I can see are inconsistent with the reasons you've provided for having them. In my real life, I'm a consulting detective. I know fight injuries when I see them.

[Heck, with some choice criminals, he's caused them.]

[She doesn't like that look he's giving her and is about to give a sharp retort back, but when he gives the reason why he could deduce her situation so easily, she chooses to instead close her mouth, avert her gaze and look pointedly at the shelves.]

[He nods in approval that she decided to tell the true.]

And were you successful in your endeavour?

[He's debating, her lack of self-confidence is over shadowing any deduction he can make about her success rate.]

If you count getting beat up till you black out a success, than yeah, it was a success.

You said this happened because you were helping someone. Did getting beat up help them?

[Because the actual part about getting beat up is immaterial, it's the reasons behind it that are important.]

[The eye-rolling is strong with this one. But the second question causes her expression to quickly sour.]

[Thanks for bringing up her failure again Sherlock. She just wants to get out and away from you.]

Can I just get the icepack now?

Yes. But it won't be much better than the frozen peas.

[He just doing his not-job and telling her what she needs to know. He points to the freezer.]

[In a huff, she stalks over to the freezer and pulls out the icepack before taking it to the counter.]
