Case: 018
{{ →!Action | 915 Bilko Boulevard | Evening - Early, EARLY morning }}
[ Since returning to Mayfield Conan has locked himself in his room with any mystery books he could find. If he figured out the trick and murderer before he finished his book he'd toss it in a pile of books that couldn't hold his attention for long. If he is kept guessing until the end then he sets it aside on his night stand to read through it again and find the key details that point to the murderer. So far he has not come across such a mystery. Normally, he'd finish reading the book despite figuring out the trick-but this is different. He's only reading to keep his mind focused and off Ran. ]
[ He's been having difficulty concentrating on anything lately because he's been constantly worried about his childhood friend. He closes the last of the mystery books he'd managed to find and tosses into the pile with all the others before sinking down into his pillows. Ran would be okay... wouldn't she? ]
[ He takes a calming breath and tucks his hands behind his head, staring fixedly at the ceiling... ]

RAAAAAN!
[ He wakes up in a cold sweat, immediately sitting up and breathing hard. What a Nightmare. ]
{{ →!Action | 915 Bilko Boulevard's front yard | Morning }}
[ Conan's not in a good mood today. He's stille feeling jittery and shaky so to calm himself down as best as possible he's got soccer ball out and kicking it at the side of the house-when it bounces off he rushes to meet it and kick it again. ]
[ It helps. But he's obviously bothered by something as he keeps missing the small 'x' he drew on the side of the house with a piece of chalk. ]
((ooc: If you're curious about Conan's dream I've left a link to it as I wrote it out in a separate journal entry. Warning. It involves violence. ))

No need to be dramatic.

[ He just stares at the tumbler of water, debating if he even wants it now since it's just another thing he had to have help with. Another reminder of his stupid mistake. Can't even get a cup of water without using a chair or asking someone for help. ]
...Ne... have you ever been in a situation where you know you're in way over your head?
no subject
You know the answer to that question.
[After all, Conan admitted to reading stories about Sherlock.]

It took awhile for me to realize how dangerous They are. At the beginning I tried to use the police-use the bowtie and talk to Inspector Megure as Kudo-I didn't know how stupid that was and it's only luck that they never caught on. After I finally understood I started digging-looking into unsolved crimes because Haibara said that was the best place to look.
I've seen them destroy two buildings just to kill one person, I've seen them infect entire districts with some chemical just to get into a hospital to blow it up. I know that they took out an entire police division. They attacked Tokyo tower with a helicopter and somehow it was written off as a terrorist attack.

[Sherlock sighs and runs one hand through his hair.]
How can I help?
no subject
I can't even do anything and right now it seems that they're investigating the agency I'be been living at.
no subject
[That's an honest question, Sherlock isn't sure.]
no subject
He should be done with the agency.
no subject
[Sherlock doesn't understand why this person should be done with the agency just because he accomplished his mission.]
I should never tag with my phone. Auto-correct is a jerk. >:
Now that they think she's dead there's no reason for him to continue hanging around the agency-after all, The Organization wouldn't want to risk getting too close to a famous detective-not when there's a chance they'd end up exposed. If they're not done with the agency that can only mean there's something else in Beika they want investigated.
Hence why I've disabled it on mine :/
[And back to the nightmare.]
...I should do that.
Sh-she's just my childhood friend.. She cries to easily and worries about everything. She also lives at the agency as it's her dad that I made famous.

I can't put her through that.

Why does everyone automatically resort to the assumption of thinking of a romantic entanglement when someone says a pair must be more than friends? I simply meant that the way you called for her signifies something that runs deeper. Romance doesn't have to enter into it.

Erm-!
.......Oh.

...
Sh-she's-well-to me, she's the most important person.

[Sherlock pauses.]
It's not sentiment. It's shared experience. I understand that.

no subject
Semantics. And you're focused on the wrong thing. We were talking about Ran, not you.
no subject
...Anyway. What do you want to know about Ran?
no subject
[Statements. Explain, Conan.]
no subject
...They killed her.
no subject
Did that happen in real life?
