Operation 01 - Back to basics

[Action - 725 Anderson]

[Fran blinks as she awakens in her new bed. She rises slowly and groggily, and it takes her a moment before she realizes the changes. She pats herself all over, checking her skin, noting the lack of her usual parts.]

Interesting~ Stitches and bolts removed, no sign of surgical intrusion~ In fact, no evidence of any prior surgery at all~

[She finds herself a change of clothes in the closet and then sets about exploring the home, noting her presence in family photos.]

[After dialing a number and assuming it went through.]

Veronica~ Okita~ This is Fran~ I believe I've been kidnapped or otherwise taken by someone~ I'll let you know when I have more information, but the address I've found is 725 Anderson Lane, Mayfield~ I appear to be in America~ Veronica, please don't kill anyone or else I will have to punish you~

Aahh... This will be somewhat difficult to explain, but you are, like myself and many others, currently imprisoned in a location known as Mayfield. The working theory is that it is in fact a simulation of sorts, but the fact remains that the imprisoned come from various differing realms and universes...

More importantly however, is that occasionally a prisoner vanishes in some way. Sometimes when this happens, they return... However, not necessarily with memories of Mayfield.

We've met you see- but we met during your previous appearance in Mayfield...

[That whole batch of information is all stuff she surmised on her last visit as well]

Hmmmm~ Interesting~ Are there any research notes I may have left? Anyone I was working with?

Unfortunately I would not know; we did not know each other well, though I know you were here for some time before you left; Mayfield had already returned a number of things to you, as it seemed, a fact which was apparent at our first meeting even.

You were in a pet store- while I was holding a guinea pig, you were able to diagnose that it had a heart condition, and quickly repaired it on site. [He sounds quite pleased about that.]

In fact, I still have the guinea pig with me. [Very pleased.]

Can I take a look at it perhaps? I may be able to find some clues~

I don't seem to have a proper lab here, but I should be able to manage~ Please feel free to stop by when you can~

[She spends the interim time clearing some space in the kitchen and cleaning the knives.]

Astral will drop by soon, knocking on the door; he doesn't SEEM to be carrying anything but...

"Chuuuu..." Oh it's in his... Hair. Okay then.

[Fran opens the door and regards the person on the other side. She then nods as she sees the pet. She plucks it out and looks it over.]

I don't seem to recall it, but let me look it over and I'll see what I can find~ I should be done in a few hours~

((OOC: Any clues at all of what she did to it?))

[If you think it should be something else however, go right ahead hehe~ We never really decided.]

"Ah-" He was about to grab it- Oh well.

"Shall I leave then? Or should I take a seat inside until then?"

[Fran is looking the pet over.]

I shouldn't be too long~ I want to see if I left myself any hints~ The stitching does seem to be my work~

((OOC: I won't do too much, just trying to use this as a cheap memory bump for her))

"Very well." He'll just nod and, since you don't seem to have sent him off, wait relatively calmly.

...unless you did, in which case he's heading home.

[Sorry about that, he's welcome to stay. Give me some time as I think on what to have happen.]

[It's a couple hours but Fran finishes up and returns the pet to its owner. It looks a little groggy and there's some fresh stitches, but that's to be expected.]

It looks to be in healthy condition, and I do recognize some of my own work in it to begin with~ It seems I had made sure it would be rather robust and healthy~

[And by that she means it will probably get up to at least cat size, possibly dog, but that's over time.]

So clearly I've been here before~ I wonder what other patients I have around town?

"Aah- Thank you."

'Chuuma' as he's called will just give a yawn as he's stowed back in Astral's hair.

"I would imagine that any other patients you might have had will contact you once they realize you are here. You are quite talented in your work after all." True, but Astral, most of them don't lack the gag reflex as you do...

Flies away. WELL OKAY THEN.

[Fran nods and goes back into the house. It's not like anything out of the ordinary just happened.]
