This is definitely not someone he meant to be asleep beside, but hey, it's still a warm body, and Jim is a cuddler in his sleep. This will make for interesting introductions.]

Hi, can I get an operator please? [Silly captain, this is Mayfield, no operator for you. He's only going on what vague notions he has of the twentieth century anyway, so he's not having a whole lot of luck with this.

Give him a few minutes of pressing buttons, and then he grumbles his complaints.] I was pretty sure these stupid things weren't that hard to work, come on...

C: between Erwin Road and the fire station

[Jim had plenty of training for plenty of things, but firefighter training? Not something he remembered doing. However, drone chid seemed pretty insistent that Daddy was a hero and needed to go to work, so, hey, who was he to argue with a cute little thing who was encouraging him to further explore the crazy town? He should be recognizable by the slightly bewildered expression of most newcomers.]

[She knew this was not his bed, because it was hers.

At least it had been when she'd gone to sleep last night and pointedly locked the drone in the hallway so she could get to sleep. So when Aria wakes Jim will get a nasty wake up call from Aria's elbow in his ribs before she'll literally kick him out of bed.

Coming around the end of the bed she'll have her hands on her hips looking highly irritated and staring at him with narrowed eyes.]

['Rude awakening' is the term that comes to mind here, although of course by the time Jim hits the floor, he's wide awake, and popping back up onto his feet, ready to fight or flee.

At least he doesn't have to wait too terribly long to be met with his bedmate, as she immediately approaches.]

Seeing as I went to bed alone and locked that door to keep the drone out, I think you have some explaining to do.

[She'll take a step toward him, prepared for a fight despite being dressed in little more than her underwear.]

[He knows that posture, all too well, and responds with pushing up the sleeves of his nightshirt, then holding his hands up in a gesture of surrender.]

I went to bed alone ages away from anywhere I was planning to dock, lady, so believe me when I say this is not of my own volition. I'm just as confused as you are.

[She'll eye him for a moment before leaning back on her heels and rubbing the bridge of her nose. Things were certainly fucked up, more than she had ever wanted them to be. But if it meant that this...human was here then perhaps the creepy drone 'husband' of hers was gone. At least it was one up side.]

Aria, not lady. Then I guess you're stuck in this as much as I am. Great, well, at least I'm not going quite as insane as I thought.

Aria, okay. [His hands drop back to his side, since the strange lady seems a little less likely to attack him now.]

Awesome. I take it there isn't an operator? I mean, this is definitely a telephone, right?

[Oh she's still thinking about it, but she'll have a seat on the bed instead and cross her legs.]

What I know is that somehow I'm stuck in a human body, on Earth, in a town that is apparently from the twentieth century. There are others here like us, humans, aliens, AI's, nations....either way they aren't from here either. From the looks of it it seems I've lived here my entire life and the... drones... appear to think I have as well.

Either way we're stuck here.

AIs and what? You know what, never mind. [Jim shakes his head, waving a hand. He can get back to that later.] Let's start with what you are when you aren't stuck in a human body and how we got here.

Okay. Weird, but straightforward. You can specify, though? Just for future reference? I'm assuming with normal dialing techniques.

[She'll stare at him for a moment.]

I'm an Asari, as I've explained here a few times, seeing as people here are from multiple alternate universes--I'm not even going to start on that issue. Before you ask what an Asari is we're a mono-gendered race with a feminine appearance. Depending on your race we look a little different but that's mostly because of our biological ability to take DNA from any other race to randomize our own. That being said, some of us are more maternal than others.

[She'll get to her feet and pace the length of the bed.]

For you I'd look like a blue woman in her late twenties, with a crest instead of hair. We're the oldest and most respected race in our galaxy, probably due to the fact we live so long.

[ Juliet sees the confused and bewildered man walking towards the fire station, but, she figures that the confusion must mean he knows something that made him confused. With this jump in logic, Juliet wastes no time leaping her way over Captain Kirk. ]

Hey! You! I have a question!

You just pick up the phone and talk into it. It works for me.

But then it's just some sort of constant chat line, isn't it?

[Jim, in fact, looks even more confused by this, but he'll be polite and stop to look at her.]

Okay, so if you're the oldest and "most respected" race in the galaxy, why have I never heard of you? You clearly know what humans are, so we've made contact.

Don't get snippy with me boy, I'm as confused as you are.

Humans have only been on the galactic scene for about thirty years now, you poke your noses in places they don't belong then come crying to us for help when something gets angry at you for doing so.
