[Opening the first one, she blinked at the sight of a cell phone adorned with butterflies up the side.] What the heck is this?

Is it common to get a whole bunch of things that you didn't expect you would get? I got a pile of stuff in the mail today, and so did Nozomi.

Marisa, you know how you said you wanted to check on my magic and stuff? I got something new in the pile. It's, well, it kind of looks like I get a massive power upgrade sometime in my service as a Precure, since I've got a whole new costume, transformation device and magical attack.

[Phone - Yuna]

Hey Yuna, I got something cool in the mail. Want to get together so I can show it to you?

There's different types of love too. Not just romantic love.

[THIS is a concept Scott doesn't grasp AT ALL! To Scott, love was love. He loved jelly beans, punk music, his brother's bass, Ramona Flowers, and occasionally a girl who had his fancy here in town. For there to be different levels of love?! Well.. This makes NO DAMN SENSE!]

"No damn sense at all!"

[Right, that's what I said, Scott.]

What do you think then when I say I love Nozomi? That I want to marry her? Be with her?

No.

It means I love her and will protect her, but this is a love of FRIENDSHIP than romantic love. It's the same way I love my friends, at varying degrees of friendly love and affection.

You need to get priorities straight "dad".

[Scott, having born witness to the exchange of mouthly fluids between women, doesn't also grasp the concept of "girls being just friends".]

How the hell am I supposed to be any use around here, let alone a good.. Erm.. Dad.. If I can't use my powers?"

Then you find a new power source. Like I did apparently.

"Wait. How? You found a new source? Tell me more!"

Aren't you paying attention? This new CureMo is apparently a new power source. It's twice as strong as my previous powers.

[Scott nods slowly.]

"But how does that help Me?"

Is everything going over your head? Find a new power source that isn't love for crying out loud!

"But where?! I have NO FREAKING CLUE what would be stronger than love!

I can't hit myself with a gamma bomb or infuse my skeleton with adamantium! I need to learn how to transform or..
