[Being back in his Mayfield home with his drone family was actually kind of nice. At least he had the comforts of running water and a bed he immediately crawled into and didn't come out of for a long time. It had been an awful experience, one that completely exhausted him emotionally and physically. Curling up and closing his eyes, Latvia barely had the energy to be distraught.

When he finally arose he was surprised to see that there was a package waiting for him. It was a rather large box and he eyed it dubiously. Latvia was torn between curiosity and apprehension. Experience told him it was likely to be something of his but everything in this town was covered by a thin (sometimes thick) veil of deceit. After looking around the house for a box cutter he cautiously slit the top open and pulled back the flaps to reveal the contents]

My God...

[He was still hobbling along on his one good leg. It seemed like the other had been fixed up with a better splint and there was a much more suitable crutch by his side. Despite his predicament, Latvia seems awfully happy. His cheeks are tinted a little red and you can smell alcohol on his breath but it doesn't seem like it's inhibiting him in anyway and he shuffles along making smalltalk with anyone who cares to listen]

Good morning! The weather's lovely today. But then it's lovely every day here, isn't it? Don't you miss bad weather?

[No point in keeping it all to himself. The only reason he came out at all today was to make sure everyone got home safely, no matter how unsafely they left. Despite his prior cheerfulness he's now considerably more nervous, fidgeting and shivering a little. As he rings the doorbell he takes a deep breath and prepares himself for the worst]

[He pulls out one of the bottles from his bag]

Getting a girlfriend isn't a competition or anything. And if you're worried that Estonia and Lithuania won't bother with you as much anymore because they're involved or whatever, you're just being dumb and silly. You're still important to them.

It's not just about getting a girlfriend! I feel like I fall behind them in everything.

They both look like adults while I'm still stuck in a kid's body. Lithuania's strong, Estonia's smart but I don't really have anything I can boast about. Estonia has Finland, Lithuania has you and America but the only friend I can make isn't even a nation...

It just sucks...

That's stupid though. People always look bad when they compare themselves to enough other people. You know, except me. I'm great compared to everyone.

You think Liet doesn't wish he was smarter like Estonia or as good looking as I am sometimes? Or that Estonia doesn't think it'd be kind of neat if he could pick up more than whatever a laptop weighs without getting winded?

Everybody wants to be like somebody else sometimes, but getting upset about it isn't gonna change anything.

Even if they have different good points at least they still have them.

It's a lot easier to see the good points in other people than in yourself.

The way eyes work now, the only way you get to see yourself is with mirrors or what other people tell you you're like and that's not always easy to trust.

[Poland chews on his popsicle stick.] I think if eyes could roll back into your head and like let you see what was inside yourself, people would probably appreciate themselves more. But they can't. So people are always gonna doubt they have good points.
