I...couldn't catch everything that was said over the radio, but I was able to jot down the basics, for everypony that's interested:

(A slight rustling of papers before she clears her throat and reads aloud.)

I don't know if anyone heard this...

And I believe I heard the name "Richard Grey" somewhere in there, but I can't be certain. Can anyone confirm this?

But WHY? Carnivals are so FUN, and the people that run this place haven't done anything fun yet! It's about time they had something nice!

[Because what is caution? Be glad they didn't mention a party in that broadcast, Twilight.]

That's not how the town works. There's always a catch to the things they do and this carnival will be one of them.

But maybe this time it'll be a GOOD catch!

Because it's a CARNIVAL, Twilight! There's gonna be food, and games, and rides, and all sorts of fun!

I mean, it's not like there are going to be zombies running around scaring everypony again--unless there's a carnival haunted house!

Pinkie, be realistic. If the announcer put this much effort into broadcasting this message with information this vital to Mayfield, would he really say all of this just so people could go on rides and eat carnival food?

[There is a pause before Pinkie answers. She's thinking.]

But Twilight! It's a CARNIVAL! I can't pass up a CARNIVAL!

You can come with me, if you're so worried! Then you'll see there's nothing to worry about!
