[Tieria got his Gundam, now complete with weapons and all the working parts, and he was working on it. In the front yard. An oddity, perhaps, but he decided it was okay, seeing as how he finally got all the security encryptions he felt he needed set up so no one could steal it. He was up in the cockpit right now, doing what he could with what he had. Lack of computer terminals made maintenance hard.]

[Library, wiiiiide open]

[With school coming to a close, Tieria was glad to pretend to study for final exams while he avoided the drones and Hiling at the house. Things had been odd from the events recently, so he was quite happy to just pretend nothing happened for now and go on with his life of trying to get back home. Not that the library had information, but it was a good place to gather his thoughts and ideas in peace.]

[Going to the library from home or heading home from the library, Tieria had his school bag and books and was walking. He might look a little thoughtful or distracted, and he had an extra bag that looked like it was rather heavy.]

[The sensors detected someone standing there, so Tieria came up out the cockpit, looking over the top of the chest wall.]

It is powered down. [You know... in case Ken was worried.]

You never told me you had a freakin' mecha! That is so cool! [sorry, tiny bit of fanboying here]

[Tieria hesitated, mildly confused by the fanboying.]

I did not believe it was relevant information in our past conversations.

[There were mecha shows when he was growing up. He didn't watch them all that often, but he liked what he saw.]

Mecha are always relevant! Dude, giant robot! What's not to talk about with those things.

Back home, this machine is top secret. There was a lot that we could not talk about.

[How it works, the power supply, their plans, their pasts...]

Ah, aren't they always. I know how that goes. Well, you can't really hide it here so more people are probably gonna show up to gawk at it.

That is true. And there is, so far, only one other person not a drone who is from my world that I need to be concerned about.

[And she happened to currently live with him, but that was a whole other story.]

So...Are you gonna take it for a spin around town? [Do you see the hope shining in his eyes here Tiera? He wants to see the thing actually move.]

Not around town, no. [This wasn't a car, Ken! It was a highly specialized machine built for combat.]

[weiss_tank]

Why not? People are gonna see it anyways, why not have a little fun. Think of what you could see from up there!

[Now he was starting to sound like Hiling.]

This machine was not built for fun.

[Yes, Ken, that was a look of disappointment he was giving you.]

I know that, but what ever it was built for, I don't think it'll have much luck here. May as well make it a useful vantage point.

[Actually, the mechs had seen some usage, though that was mostly Tieria attempting to stop Hiling from doing something overly destructive with hers.]

I suppose.

[He didn't look convinced. The word 'fun' still kind of stuck in his mind, and, for Tieria, this was anything but a toy.]

[Tieria was lucky that Ken had never been a true fanboy, or a model builder, there would have been far more squeeing.]

What would you do with it other wise? It's not like going Godzilla on the town will do anything.

I am not certain. It just... came to me. [Tieria didn't really know how to describe regains.]

Ah, the town gave it back to ya huh? At least they gave you back something nice this time. Sometimes what you get isn't so nice...

Have you received anything like that?

[weiss_tank]

Yeah. Let's just say the town has run out of nice things to give back to me. [There's something in his tone of voice that says very clearly that he will not elaborate on this.]

But it still keeps giving?

[That baffled him slightly.]

Why bother then, if not to help maintain morale?

Who knows. It's one of the mysteries of this town. We thought it took everything away to make us really believe that we were a part of this place, and then it starts givin' shit back.

Have you ever attempted asking for something back? I've heard people can do that at the Post Office, however there is often a very steep 'price'.
