( i know i kind of.. dropped my other threads, and i feel pretty bad about it, but there's a valid reason. wasn't feeling too great about the way i was portraying jake in a calm town and i had trouble finding motivation to do tags when insecure. anyhoo, i figured maybe spicing up his ~adventures~ may remedy that. if i previously RPed with you, i'd understand if you're all, 'bleh jake the dreaded threaddropper'. just thought i'd let you guys know before getting into this. )
[ action; john doe park, noon. ]
[ Jake isn't very satisfied with his life at the moment. Given that he's a prisoner in a world where adventures can't be made everyday, he's slowly growing more and more dissatisfied. He's happy that he gets to meet and talk to people, don't get him wrong, but there's only so many strangers he can scare away before he gets tired of even trying.
So, he figures it's about time to take his life into his own hands and make a name for himself. He taps into his knowledge of comic books and thinks of something he can do that's reminiscent to the likes of Spider-Man. It doesn't take long for Jake to realize he can't shoot web so that idea is shot to dark, but he's suddenly wild-eyed when an older woman has her cat stuck in a tree. Like the wannabe hero that he thinks he is, he wastes no time climbing up the bark like some kind of spider monkey only to--
-- come crashing down. The very unsettling snap of an arm can be heard and he yelps out with pain. He also came into contact with the ground in a not-so-friendly embrace, a stream of crimson going down his nose. Ow. With a broken arm and bloodied nose, he's just going to sit there until someone decides to be the hero that he fails to be. ]
[ phone. ]
'Ello, 'ello to anyone who's taken an interest in listening! I was perhaps wondering if one of you ladies and gents would like to participate in the.. what do you call it, the dreaded Truth or Dare game? More or less the dare part, but whatever works. And I do think it'd be interesting if we made it the moderate-to-risque level of difficulty.
Anyone up to the challenge? Hm?? Dammit, I am using this blasted phone correctly, right?

Action - FI TO THE RESCUE
Fi, complete with nice blue dress almost identical to what her true form looks like, seems to take a life of little adventure better than most. Of course, with school out for the summer now there's even... Less to do...
So she had taken to walking. Walking was good.
CRASH
Walking around the same area Jake was in? ALSO GOOD. "Jake-!" It sounds weird, a cross between exclamation and her usual monotone. The fact is, emotions are not so beyond her as one would think, which is why there is in fact worry on her face when she comes to Jake's side. "You require assistance." Fact, not question, by the way. You.
Need.
ALLLLLLL the assistance with that arm.
no subject
[ It takes him a moment to notice who's above him, and for a second, he almost mistakes her for a true and blue alien. He's very dizzy at the moment, dealing with the blow to the head rather badly. Doesn't help that he can taste metal on his lips, which he can't figure out if that's good or not. ]
Assistance? Me? Nooo, no I don't.. Just a scratch, I say. Nothing a little warm water can't remedy, haha..!
[ And like the dumbass he is, he tries standing up with a limp arm at side. One so limp that Jake hasn't even noticed until trying to move it when a sharp pang of pain runs down it. ]
Ah, fucking hell! I *never* had this problem in the jungle, so what's one tree have against me?
[ Oh hey, now he knows it's Fi finally. He somehow summons up the weakest of smiles as he waves at her with his free hand. ]
You have a remarkable tendency to find me when I'm getting put though the ringer, you know that?
Yus~~ That's good to hear. <3
YES. She'll be helping you up now. "Perhaps, it is something to be regained. However, this does not change the fact that you are in need of dire medical aid- your arm appears to be, at the very least, fractured in some way." She can't really tell but...
"...Have I?" She's honestly a little surprised. Does she really?

phone
You are! That is, if your intent was to call everyone. Or just me. But I don't think I know you, so that's probably not it. But anyway! What's this challenge?
no subject
Yes, yes it was! All intent and purposes aside, I'm glad I caught someone with my particular syntax. We may have a chance of communicating without people looking at us weird. You know, if we weren't chit chatting through some lines and wires.
-- Oh right, the challenge. You see, I didn't have anything in mind before actually... challenging. Wanted to test the waters, if that makes sense!
no subject
Is that so? If this is Truth or Dare, should I just go with the "Truth" option for now?

You ought to check that you're using the phone correctly before you start going on about games and whatnot, you know?
no subject
[ He's going to completely ignore the advice and go on a ramble about a movie this guy has probably never seen. ]
no subject
Glad to see you recall all of the important parts of our encounter. But yes, the phones do tend to work that way.

THUD
...luck.
following that, there's a sharp twang as he accidentally snaps one of his guitar strings, startled. that's bad luck, isn't it? boy oh boy, like he needed anymore of that.
(un)fortunately, the culprit isn't too far away.]
...Hey, Jake.
no subject
Who's talking to me? Is it the angels coming to get me? I hear music. Kind of bad music, if I may say. You angels need to tune your guitars every now and then..
[ Considering he's face down, ass up, he's just going to lay there while talking to whoever's talking back. Not like he was in a position to move when he has a crippled arm tucked underneath him. ]
no subject
[and hey, it's not that bad. he'd like to see you do better.
he approaches, propping the guitar against the side of the tree before crouching down in front of the boy.]
Can you move?

...What happened?

[ Oh dammit, he's caught, brace and all. He knows he's getting some weird looks at this point. ]
A tree and myself were found in a tussle. I came out victorious but at a price. I'm sure you understand how it is.
